    Tons of respect for the 2022 Astros. I think that they have washed the bad taste of the 2017 season away with this championship - one that was won honestly, without cheating. I think that the organization and the fans can be proud of this one, clean and fair.

    I would like to say that the last play by Tucker is extremely impressive. It looks routine but that man ran 100 miles to get there and catch the ball like it was nothing but trust me, that is a great defensive play made by a great player.

    As an Astros fan, it's so interesting listening to other MLB fans discuss how to improve different team's rosters...In the Astros organization we're always looking to who we can bring up and develop from our own minor league system. Jeremy Pena, Hunter Brown, Framber Valdez, Christian Javier...
    We just have a completely different mindset and culture. We're not try to buy a championship. We're trying to develop a culture.
    All these teams talking about buying these extra pieces here or there to put them over the top...aren't following the template for success that the Astros have shown.

    • @beautifulsurprise9424
      @beautifulsurprise9424 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree with you but I think it’s because our farm system is a lot better than a lot of teams. We have the talent in our AAA team to select from and I don’t believe other teams have that or else they’d be looking towards their minor leaguers in the same way the Astros do. We’ve been hearing the names Jeremy Peña Jose Siri and the likes for a little while so I knew they were coming up and were going to be good. I live 5 miles from where the Astros minor league team plays and have been to a few of their games. Trust me they still have people who can come up and be good. They start working on development with their minor league players. I’m sure lots of teams do too but it must not be to the extent that the Astros do because that’s why they could let Correa walk for more money. They knew they had a guy good enough to take his place and boy did they ever.

    Philly's got hot at the right time, but there shouldn't have even been a game 6. They got some fortuitous calls that let them off the mat in one game, that's it. They can't pitch, play defense, and broke a record in futility by striking out a record number of times in a 6 game series. They got 3 runs and 6 hits for their last 27 innings, that's not going to win anything. I'd be surprised if they're anything but cellar dwellers next season, but I guess lightning could strike twice....

    Astros were a clear cut above everyone in the AL, and the only two teams who could have hung in the NL (Dodgers + Braves) went home early. There’s probably a discussion to be had about 1) too many wildcards, 2) top seeds getting weekday day games at home in the DS (and lower getting weekend night games), but it’s pretty hard to argue that the ‘Stros aren’t deserving champions.

    Alvarez was going to hit that HR no matter who was pitching to him. Sorry if that seems nonsensical but it's true. The hitting coach was able to identify a glitch in his mechanics (SI article) and he was waiting for a pitch to hit. It may not have been that inning, but he was waiting for a pitch to hit. He got it.

      Cowboys are doing alright but football is hard to watch nowadays with all the BS rules. And the Spurs are a dumpster fire right now. But the Stars offense has been setting records. That's been somewhat fun to keep track of. Although, I would prefer if they played defense more often.
