The new super spikes that Cheptegei used saves a lot of time, together with the wavelight that made Cheptegei have a lot more even pacemaking than Bekele did in his 10k WR. The shoes alone save about ~20s in a 10k. And add Bekeles Olympic and World titles on the track as well as his insane 11 titles at the XC Worlds (w/ 5 doubles) and there's really no competition for who the greatest runner of all time is.
