After symptoms are showing it is pretty much agreed 100% that death is inevitable with between 1-5 cases in recorded history ever surviving. Like the other commenter said, it’s horrifying. One of the later symptoms (that causes the “foaming” of the mouth) is that your throat will close up and reject liquid, so your saliva has no where to go but to foam. Since it’s transmitted through saliva, it’s only at the end of life (once the virus reaches the brain) that it’s possible to transmit. I wouldn’t wish it on an enemy. As someone who actually got bitten by a rabid animal and had to get the shots this ticks me off. (Never showed symptoms, started treatment within 2-3 days of being bitten.)
The first treatment was a round of NINE shots! One at the site of the bite (One of the most painful things I've endured), one in each arm, and 3 in each buttcheek.
I had to keep going to follow up appointments for 3 additional shots given at different times.

aight so back in the '30s when my grandpa was a baby, he got scarlet fever. this would've been treatable, but being on a farm in the midwest during the great depression, and also coming from a big family, he couldnt get the antibiotics he needed. he survived, but ended up going blind in one eye, half blind in the other, and partially deaf in both ears. these "rabies sexuals" or whatever and pro disease people have pretty easy access to vaccines and antibiotics, but CHOOSE to not treat their children for NO FUCKING REASON. please, read some stories about a time before vaccines and antibiotics to educate yourself on just what youre doing.

My Dad is not only a veterinarian, but he's the same generation as your grandpa and I grew up spending a lot of time in his veterinary clinic hearing him talk not just to his clients about rabies, but have to give a local interview to the news station about local officials' worries about a potential outbreak and what it means for both local wildlife and for the people of the community. It's not something to joke about and if anyone in this guy's local community had gotten wind of his bullshit and taken it seriously, there could have been a lot of animals suffering for his bullshit. "Leave me alone, I'm not hurting anyone"? He's extremely lucky no one was hurt, because if locals of his area had taken his claims seriously, officials would have started tracking raccoons of his area out during the daytime, trapping and killing them to dissect their brains to look for signs of rabies because that is the only way to confirm an outbreak. And while it's rare to find a healthy raccoon out during the daytime, it is by far not unheard of, especially out in the woods. They are not strictly nocturnal animals. So yeah, plenty of animals could have gotten hurt because of this idiot and that's what pisses me off.

Emma Van Dijk Rabies is also only transmittable during the last few days of an infected animals life. This is why Rabies quarantines are only 10 days long if it is the quarantined animal that bit someone/something..
I did not know that, I just thought that if Spencer claimed that they had rabies, they must have had some 'proof', thus I would think symptoms had appeared. If Spencer claims they aren't going to die, symptoms probably didn't appear and they don't have rabies. Just my train of thought, feel free to correct me though.
Just look up rabies on TH-cam, and click on the "rare" titled vedio. Its horrifying, but it's what will happen if you get rabies you die...horribly.

After symptoms are showing it is pretty much agreed 100% that death is inevitable with between 1-5 cases in recorded history ever surviving. Like the other commenter said, it’s horrifying. I still get shivers from the video they showed me in training. One of the later symptoms (that causes the “foaming” of the mouth) is that your throat will close up and reject liquid, so your saliva has no where to go but to foam. Since it’s transmitted through saliva, it’s only at the end of life (once the virus reaches the brain) that it’s possible to transmit. I wouldn’t wish it on an enemy. It’s been mostly eradicated through diligent vaccinating of animals (its law in most states) and mandatory quarantine or testing of any animal that has bitten another person or animal. My dog was bitten by a rabid skunk and his vaccination history was the only reason he wasn’t euthanized immediately for human safety.
