2013: Fanboy and Chum Chum is the most garbage show Nickelodeon has ever put out. 2020: Fanboy and Chum Chum is majorly misunderstood, and actually has a lot of imagination, humor and meme potential.
I didn't HATE it. Some of the jokes were clever on occasion, and the animation was technically impressive (esp compared to other CGI shows). But that's it.

There's this one scene that I fondly remember and still sometimes think about- It was the episode where Man Arctica was Santa. I think it was Chum Chum who set out some milk and cookies, to get him to come over. Nothing happened, so he went, "maybe it wasn't milk and cookies.. it was cookies and milk!" He swapped the placement of the milk and cookies, and Man Arctica immediately crashed through their wall
I have to say that this show is a guilty pleasure for me. I always got invested in the side characters and some plotlines and definitely laughed at times. To this day I find the theme song more catchy then annoying. I guess now I can better understand why some people can appreciate things that many consider being universally bad.

Wait, was "Super Chum" really the ending? I distinctly remember the show ended with two episodes that were linked together, one was about the pink Frosty Freeze flavour being replaced by a disgusting red one, so the boys attempt to try the pink flavour for the last time, the second episode was a "The Hangover" parody, where after drinking so much of it they woke up without knowing what happened the night before and without their underwear. Also the show ended on the most ridiculous and hilarious twist, turns out Fanboy and ChumChum had superpowers the entire time and no explanation was given other than "Why else would we be dressed like this" It was hysterical, the side characters were what made the show tbh.
Yep, Brain Freeze was the last episode (the one with Radioactive Red) it originally was supposed to be only released on the "Brain Freeze" DVD, but later, in 2014, aired on TV
I'm glad that somebody finally said it. While this show wasn't a masterpiece by any means, I at least enjoyed it enough to watch it on occasion and I still actually remember some of the episodes mentioned in this review. It deserves more credit than it gets. You are the only person I've seen to ever praise this show for what it is, and I applaud you for that.
He definitely was based on MJ. I remember during one episode he moonwalked out of the theater that did the Chimp Chomp Movie. Then again, he was mostly seen as the guy dancing in the background.
People are still mad that Nick choose Fanboy & Chum Chum over Adventure Time, but honestly I think Adventure Time woulden't had been sucessful if Nick picked it up.
An odd opinion to behold for sure, but it is also nice to see somebody stick up for a show that has essentially served to be a criticism punching bag. Though i would opt to say that most of what has been said about it has been fairly deserved.
Ahhh this video makes me so happy!!! I saw it on my recommendations alot, but I always pushed it away cuz I was scared that this was a ironic video or a joke, and I finally build up the courage to click on it and watch it! I'm so glad and amazed to see that someone understands and takes time to look out for the good things about the show. Fanboy and Chum Chum is my most favourite cartoon ever, and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I'm not afraid to admit that it has alot of issues, but man, I love so much about it so much. I absolutely love Erics art style, and my own art has taken a TON of inspiration from his, and im just overall so glad that he has made the show. I'm one of the only people that have drawn (and still do!) Fanart of the show, and I'm quite proud I do, because I feel Eric and his team need more credit for what they have created. Side note, I'm very lucky to own alot of merch (I have a figure set, plushies, puzzle ETC) because I live in Germany, and the Netherlands has Outlet stores where they sell their merch alot. This video has brightened up 2020 for me already, and I'm very glad you made it :)

I have to say that this show is a guilty pleasure for me. I always got invested in the side characters and some plotlines and definitely laughed at times. To this day I find the theme song more catchy then annoying.
I guess now I can better understand why some people can appreciate things that many consider being universally bad.

I'm in the same boat, except I wasn't as young as some of y'all. I was still a kid though, and it always appealed to me for some reason. I'm glad that at least some other people enjoyed it.
This show was actually pretty good like half of the time, i adored it when i was little.
Ok, really, a lot of these characters have really original designs, and their body shapes go well with their personality.

I love the fact your take on so many shows is so genuine - it's refreshing to see how honestly you look at things in general. tbh as much as I was never a fan of this series, I think both it and Johnny Test had way more hate than was warranted (memes I guess)
Honestly, I think Fanboy & Chum Chum could be better if the main characters had opposite personalities and every episode would've playing with this concept. Less toilet humor and make Fanboy and Chum Chum charming and more tridimensional characters (sorry if my English is Bad)

Wait, was "Super Chum" really the ending? I distinctly remember the show ended with two episodes that were linked together, one was about the pink Frosty Freeze flavour being replaced by a disgusting red one, so the boys attempt to try the pink flavour for the last time, the second episode was a "The Hangover" parody, where after drinking so much of it they woke up without knowing what happened the night before and without their underwear.
Also the show ended on the most ridiculous and hilarious twist, turns out Fanboy and ChumChum had superpowers the entire time and no explanation was given other than "Why else would we be dressed like this"
It was hysterical, the side characters were what made the show tbh.
Yep, Brain Freeze was the last episode (the one with Radioactive Red) it originally was supposed to be only released on the "Brain Freeze" DVD, but later, in 2014, aired on TV

I'm glad that somebody finally said it. While this show wasn't a masterpiece by any means, I at least enjoyed it enough to watch it on occasion and I still actually remember some of the episodes mentioned in this review. It deserves more credit than it gets. You are the only person I've seen to ever praise this show for what it is, and I applaud you for that.

I'm so glad and amazed to see that someone understands and takes time to look out for the good things about the show. Fanboy and Chum Chum is my most favourite cartoon ever, and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I'm not afraid to admit that it has alot of issues, but man, I love so much about it so much.
I absolutely love Erics art style, and my own art has taken a TON of inspiration from his, and im just overall so glad that he has made the show. I'm one of the only people that have drawn (and still do!) Fanart of the show, and I'm quite proud I do, because I feel Eric and his team need more credit for what they have created.
Side note, I'm very lucky to own alot of merch (I have a figure set, plushies, puzzle ETC) because I live in Germany, and the Netherlands has Outlet stores where they sell their merch alot.
This video has brightened up 2020 for me already, and I'm very glad you made it :)
