My introduction to him was in 1984. He was approximately 16 years old. He checked 3 grown men ,he and Eddieboy, pulled up on Brynhurst. Earl, hopped out & Eddieboy, stood up next to the car the pulled up in. Earl, was asking a distinct question, and no one was answering his question, so he went and got nose to nose, with them while asking the question, but this time he got the results he was looking for. At that moment I thought to myself, that's the hardest gang banger I ever seen! He winked his eye at my cousin, then they hopped in the car and smashed out toward the slums. I was like who was that dude!?...."That's Lil Looney!" 😂

Damn Kev from the map you put up I didn't realize 60s territory was so massive. I always knew you guys were deep, but the square miles are pretty big also. I've driven threw there but never realized the circumference was so big until I saw your map. Thank you for sharing. Like I've said about a few of your homies now,Lil Looney sounds like he was solid as they come, that's why he was a leader and was loved by many.

I remember when Earl first was put on he ask me what I thought, we didn’t see eye to eye but we had mad love for each other. The funny thing is he tried to recruit me but I declined, I told him I’m your big homie you supposed to follow me. Earl and I had good times at Centinella Park swimming in the summer, to football in the streets on Alviso.
You hit it on the head Kev he respected his community, you know my pops was a pastor Earl called my pops “hello Rev!” Wished things would’ve turned out better, in his situation always remembered.

I look at this and think of all the Brothas that we as a race lost to this Bangin. I wonder how strong our kids would have grown up if these dudes lived or stayed on the streets long enough to mature and focus on Family. We’ve really been wiped out through brainwashing that we were eachothers worst enemy.
It’s crazy! Dudes like this could have pushed the culture forward on a whole nother level.

Sadly in the ghetto a lot dudes feel like they don’t have nothing to aspire to be or do besides what’s around them. I like to believe if many of these brothas saw opportunities for themselves and their families coming up as young men they might still be here

RIP Lil Looney from T-top from VSLC. We were in RJD together. Lil Slept Roc,T-Spoon, and a few other 60's. We Rolled together even some Hoovas. Prison was different from the street's because Big Scooby from PBG was cool. I have that obituary of Lil Looney. I was still in Prison when he was killed. I can't remember who sent me the obituary but they were from 60s. Before VSLC and 60s were cool I use to hang in the 60s with Lil Mouse and even would spend some nights over there. The 60s knew were I was from but were still cool with me when our hoods didn't get alone. Big U and my homeboy Timbone are responsible for VSLC and 60s becoming allies. Lil Looney was a funny dude to. He kept us laughing. It was sad to hear of a real soldier passing. I came home 2 years later. You are missed rich Rollin rider

Lil Looney refereed a lotta fights I had back in the day. He loved to see people putting in work. He would act like a real judge of the fight and not let niggas jump in. These were good times back when I was at Orville Wright. He would come up to the school with Peanut, Lil PJ, Lil Waco etc... A real one with a lotta heart and a lotta for his people. One time time I has a little beef with Lil PJ and we would squab at Fox Hills Park. After the fights niggas would go home and nobody got shot. Miss those days. RIP WELL IN HEAVEN EARL. You taught me a lot about having heart.

I believe Earl was killed by his own homie.

Why the good people that never sold drugs, never shot at people, never sexually exploited women, never killed or beat up people. Never used any abused drugs and alcohol never get celebrated. Shows you how backward the hood really is. If you clean and blameless, you are undesired. A mark, a unknown.

This is true only within a certain sphere of activity. It depends on which environment we’re in. Unfortunately most inner city neighborhoods are not well-off so the majority are lower class. In this class - you’re right, the the true “good ones” are outcasts.
