Yes, Kidd and Kenbone were killed on the same day. Very close friends of mine. in fact, I was with them earlier that night. They were going across the tracks but I was too high so they left me where I lived on Arlington. Later that night, I heard they had been shot. It was a sad day in our neighborhood. Kenbone was all about fighting, he had gotten into a fight with Fatty from ETG earlier that week. One fact many people didn't know about Kenbone, he went to church every Sunday, he would invite me but I didn't want to go. But look at me now, I'm a Youth Pastor serving Jesus for over 30 years. He planted those seeds in me.

This one death literally sparked a 40 year civil war between two solid and strong factions. Let this information be a teaching tool for these young brothers out here. Dont raise a gun, raise your fist if you have to. Once gunplay starts and people start dropping ... horse left the barn. Best way to stop a war is dont let it start. What your forgot to mention is that it all could have been stopped if ETG leadership gave up the guy that did it. A strong leadership would never allow the war to broke out over a new recruit acting against the gangs wishes.

Spooky/Boxer and I are going out for dinner soon. I left the set to become a Pastor in 1985, I've spent over 30 years ministering to the youth in Juvenile Halls, YA, Wayside and many other jails. Have had several run ins with the ETG's because I was running a youth bible study on 84th and Normandy and 105th street and Vermont from 1990-2005. I was given a couple of passes by a couple of cats that remembered me and my brothers. They realized I wasn't into the life any longer and I trying to reach out to the youth in there hood. Man God changed my life.

I'm checkin in from Strong Island NY and Friday evening while doing my school bus run being I'm a school bus driver I was dropping my last student off in Far Rockoway Queens and I saw graffiti on a couple of buildings and it blew my mind. It said WS Rolling 60 NHC. it blew my mind because even though I know the Cali gang culture has long permeated the five boros Long Island and parts of upstate NY to see the graffiti showed how the Cali gang culture has been spread all over the country and world. And it resonated in my spirit because years ago I was put on to Monster Kodys Autobiography and I read C Locs from Harlem 30s autobiography Inside the Crips. I also regularly check in to Let Mac video's which are very informative on the Cali gang history and culture. But to see that wall banging blew me away that something that was initiated many generations ago in Cali is still being mimicked and isolated by young and old brothers in NY streets and jails. My heart goes out to all the brothers and sisters lost in this senseless Madness which is tribalism when it comes to African Americans. This is struggle is a Universal struggle no matter how fake or real it's being done in otherr states not named Cali. My heart goes out to the youth in New York especially in Strong Island NY my foundation who are caught up in this madness. I pray that God delivers them from this madness because it only leads to death despair tradgegy and a whole lot of suffering. Just seeing that mural showed me how Cali has influenced the world driving through Far Rockoway Queens which is very good and ghetto and seeing a Cali gang name that is well known and prominent in the gang culture being repped in these streets of Queens NY. Some might say it's fake but the impact is very real

This is the one I been waiting for Kev Mac! I was born in '79 and grew up on 3rd ave & Florence right up until the early 90's. I remember vividly what it was like growing up in that area throughout the 80's. As a kid I was very arware of my environment and the dangers that came with it, but as a whole i just remember all the fun we had on the blocc and at the parks. Hearing shots and fighting was a regular thing for us back then, then it was right back to playing! Lol. And i rember the G's coming through in fly whips hanging out and sometimes getting a street football game going with us. 60's have and always will be a part of me and the memories and relationships are forever. Thank you Big Kev Mac for all you do man.
