Sir, I have appreciated your music for some time and now, knowing this back story, even more so. What remains was restored with a tango tempo, much respect 🙏
I am current on the same journey. When I was 22 and just beginning my first semester at university, I got into an accident which damaged my vestibular nerves. This resulted in the same balance disorder that you described as well as visual disturbance. The lack of spatial awareness and the sense of disorientation is so relatable to me. For the first 4 years after the accident I had to use a cane to walk and of course I had to put my studies on hold. I was a high achieving student with intentions of going to graduate school so having to quit school broke my heart. It took years and many tests for my doctors to figure out that it was my nervous system and not my inner ear, so only now am I getting the proper physical therapy for my issue. Happy to report that things are moving well. I have still not given up on my dreams to go back to school. As you mentioned, meditation is an important part of this recovery. It helps us acknowledge our difficult feelings while also letting them pass; accepting them but not holding on to them. Gratitude is crucial ❤ This is the first time that I hear a TH-camr with the same struggle as me so thank you for sharing your story and valuable advice. I will take everything you mentioned into consideration going forward. Your art has helped me during times of struggle so thank you for putting in those years of practice so that we may all enjoy the fruits of your work through your beautiful music. Please take care, my friend🙏
Hi Nao, I only found your music recently. I spent most of Friday just listening over and over again to Silk Road. It was such a meditative and cleansing experience. My mind stopped and I just listened , lost in your music. Thank you for that!
