    You got a lot of stuff. I am on baby #3. In the past, I was good with 1 pack of pads, sitz bath, Epsom salt and comforting balm.

    Great idea to have them in both bathrooms. You are very well prepared! Just a head up because no one told me! But I strictly used tampons before baby but when I got my first period back at 11 months pp tampons were not comfortable at all. So you may be able to use any extra pads you have leftover from pp for your first period. I'm all back to normal now using tampons fine, but the first two periods just felt a little uncomfortable with tampons in.

      That’s really good to know about the tampons! No one has ever told me that but it totally makes sense! :-)

    The always pads are perfumed my midwives say. I use supermarket (grocery store) own brand maternity pads. I am now 3 weeks PP and used around 40.
    You don’t need discreet just buy black cheap knickers

      I always try to get unscented pads and tampons because the scented ones smell so bad! I also feel like putting perfume down there really is good. Good idea with the cheep undies!

    Casey Holmes just said in a postpartum video that the Earth Mama spray didn't cut it and to stick with the Dermaplast. I remember really liking the Tucks pads, and just placing them on top of whatever pad I was using. 😄

      I saw that! I kind of figured since sadly the more natural stuff isn’t usually that strong. Maybe it will be good for like a few weeks after? Once things have tamed down a bit.

    You are definitely prepared! LOL I don't know if i'll go that far, but maybe. ha! Def. do a video after it's over letting us know what was needed and what wasn't. I know everybody is different though, and I find that hard to believe that your hospital won't provide anything. To me that can't be legal not to provide after labor care at least while you are there with that kind of stuff. Hope you are feeling well!!

      I find it hard to believe they don’t provide supplies also! In fact I didn’t pack anything for postpartum in my hospital bag (except for pads) because I just feel like they HAVE to. Like why else are we there and paying them tons of money. I have a feeling they just won’t give me a bunch of extra to take home :-)

      I would think they would give pads and a Peri bottle at least..

    I had an episiotomy, can I still use tucks pads? It’s not gonna burn ?😕

    What are padsicles? Do I need those? Pregnant mom needs to know!

      @melsmakeup88  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I just made a video about them! Will be up in a couple of weeks :-) but essentially it’s like a frozen pad with Witch Hazel that you wear after birth to calm, numb and sooth your lady parts. Sounds weird but people swear by them! They even give them to you at some hospitals.

      Vanessa Reilly but it’s better if you use aloe vera and witch hazel the effect is better

    How was the supply of maxis? Was three packages too much, too little or just enough. Need to start placing my orders for my baby coming in the summer.

    • @melsmakeup88
      @melsmakeup88  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me it was way too many. One package of that size would have been plenty. I wish I had bought some smaller ‘regular’ sized ones also. I ended up having to go to the store a couple days postpartum to buy regular sized pads and panty liners.

      I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant and I pray that things are able to find everything you need postpartum! I know it's not easy right now ❤

    From the moment of conception on a woman is a mother and the man is the father. A pregnant woman is a mother already, the baby is already in the womb existing and developing.
