it s celtic language (breizhoneg) of country Bretagne in frnce (west of france). Chistr a zo mad : apple juice is good met gwin a zo tad : but wine is the dad (the best).
The reason is, that he sings it in Brettonian! In France, where the minorities were largely suppressed and even their mere existence denied, speaking in another language than French was already frowned upon as separatism. Now Alan Stivell was known, or at least largely thought to be, a Pan-Celtic and a Brettonian nationalist. I know for sure that he supported the idea of Scotland's separation from England, for he performed also "Scots are right", a song that demands a Scottish independence.

@myroslavmail Cornwall is the most celtic part of England, but the Romans pushed native many native Britons to Wales, and with other waves of invaders, Anglo, Saxons, Jutes, Danes, Vikings and Normans, following on, any remaining celtic heritage was very much subordinated and genetically mixed. However that's not to say that English people don't appreciate Celtic music. Riverdance was very popular for instance.
Seeing Stivell live in Dublin was a magical experience I'll never forget, a wonderful ambassador for a wonderful people.
That's pretty damn enviable

YO, ROCK THAT BEAT!!!
Its impressive to find comments under this video that are 13 years old. Wow.
@marijnc It is. Closer to Cornic and Welsh than to Gaelic languages (Manx, Irish and Scottish Gaelic), but all of them are Celtic languages.
Rock that beat !
