Just came back from Camber Sands today, we had the "top of the range" room and it was not good, beds and linen were the cheapest they could find, never seen so many overweight people in one place at the same time.
To be honest the only way to fix Pontins is to raise the cost of staying there. At the moment its a no frills holiday. Raise the cost and get proper cleaners in, rebuild the apartments. Provide linen in all chalets like they used to and like they do in all other hotels etc without people having to collect their own linen or bring it from home. No more pay as you go electric, come on! This is not the 1970s! Half board and full board provision with snacks in between like they do in all inclusive hotels abroad. Zero tolerance to anti-social behaviour by yob guests, if anyone messes up then they can collect their belongings and be evicted from the site without a refund and a life time ban from pontins sites. Bar drinks at normal pub prices not extortionate prices. Raising the cost of staying at Pontins would reduce the undesirables and yobs who come here spoiling other peoples holiday and also allow better conditions.

The worst standards in Britain, don't know how they are operating. Last minute booking, only puntins was available. As soon as I walked in to the room. I decided my kids are not going to sleep here. Really shitty customer service, walked out and decided to drive to Manchester the same day, left the place within 10 minutes.
Ainsdale/Southport is still an absolute hole of a place. The locations have great potential if someone would just knock em down and build something better.
I have just got back from southport pontins and the challet was clean and tidy, the entertainment was good (danny dearden from x factor, pop gossip, and re-take that) . The park was clean and no litter was to be found. Blue coats and other staff were polite, i would go back.

My son and his wife and children stopped at Brean sands in July 2015, I wish id seen this before they booked. As in the report not changed in 4 years. My son was seriously ill with food poisoning from eating there and kids were ill on the last day with the runs. Pontins couldn't care less and even had the cheek to tell my son the if he wasn't happy at their standards at Brean Sands then to try a different location!
We stayed here in 2009 on a Sun £9.50 Holiday. Dirty, smelly, staff didn't care and made you feel an inconvenience. Not been since Britannia took over, but it doesn't look any better. Chalets severely outdated and tbh the whole place needs levelling and re-building! You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear!
I went to Breen sands Unity Farm in 1984 as a kid, we're looking to go back next year as I love the area in general, the Mrs wanted to go to Pontins but I think we'll be looking elsewhere. It might have cleaned up by now but we can't risk the kind of money they want.

We are going and of August and I'm stupidly researching the place now! I so hope they have improved!! I'll be taking my cleaning caddy that's for sure! We only have the accommodation as everything else is shut and will be for some time. We will spend most of our time on the beach/country parks and hopefully now the zoo as they will be open. We will have to eat in there though! May take my own plates and cutlery with all I've been reading 🙄
if anyone wants to go to pontins I suggest going to Southport the apartments are extremely clean and there is no health hazard since i went about 13 days ago and they are very good at making you happy while your stay oh p.s they also help for wheelchairs because of the step they have but I suggest going to Southport pontins!
wish we had seen this before we went to pakefield for Halloween, we clicked on pakefield on their website then clicked the big accommodation button at the top of the page a video came up showing a very nice chalet with a living room and kitchen, so as we had booked bed and breakfast holiday we though there would be some where to cook other meals, but there was no kitchen not even a fridge to keep the food in we had taken with us,

yes britania have done some bad things "updating" the charactors has compleatly killed there magic for me however the bluecoats make my holiday no-matter what the state of my chalet is! they always have a smile a hug or a joke for you and are always willing to listen to your stories and if you ask/tell someone about your challet then there is a team on had to eather move you or fix the problems with you challet. my mum got stuck in the bog coz of a dodgy lock we called them and they came.

the wrose Pontins is Hemsby, I went to Pontins with my uncle and my cousin in October 2006 the apartments was so disgusting, there were mould in the bath tub which i refused to jump in, carpert was so filthy and the sofa got broken, the showbar 2 smell of a pig farm most people refused to go in the showbar 1 was fine, im glad pontins in hemsby has been closedown
pontins has not improved . the place is still very dirty. we stayed at Prestatyn last week rooms were not ready when we got there . took us almost 2 hrs to get our keys . when we got to our apartment it had not been cleaned the bin was full the table had remains of dinner on it . the toilet was still dirty . we complained on site and after by email but total waste of time they do not care .

and fixed the shower and filled of the bottem of the door so the lock worked. i have just finished doing my work expirience there as a bluecoat and i can say it is hard work! anyone who want to be a bluecoat and deal with the trouble they have to i say good on them! i myself have 2 years befor i can be one but that is still my goal! if i have ofended i opolodgise that is just my opinion and i would not apriciate nasty coments thank you xxx
