Love the forks and runs great. I thought it might be a little faster. I would look to replace those guages or just remove them completly. Just use the the phone GPS for MPH. Same with those mirrors. Nice bike
I prefer to keep the classic look and I really like the gauges, they bring up memories from 20 years ago. Since that video I've tuned the carbs and runs much better and faster, but it's a 400cc can't ask for much. It's still very fun to ride and it feels fast enough
To be honest it's a very simple but also very old bike. You need to prepared to service everything like a restoration. I would think it would be near to impossible to find a well maintained for sale. Having said that, if you are willing to work on it yourself it should be easy and cheap to fix. But the only way to make the engine run properly is full rebuild of the carburettor which can easily cost you £200-£300. I would also expect the fuel tank to be rusty
It's a fork from gsxr 1000 k5. Forks, wheel, bottom triple clamp are from gsxr. The triple clamp had the stem pressed out and replaced with the bandit stem because of the length. Obviously gsxr1000 is dual brake disk. Brake calipers are from kawasaki Zx10r and top yoke is custom from topyokes in order to use handlebar. This bandit was japan import and already had dual disk brakes. It's definitely worth the conversion, it feels like a 10k bike now

The rear shock is a straight bolt on or do you need to adapt it ? It goes in without modifications?
You need to relocate the coolant tank under the tail covers to make room
