My bandit as one problem, sometimes doesn't want to start and if i go up ti 180 or 190 the exhaust starts to male a strange sound and the revs goes down and it doesn't start, just after 10 minutes. What is this problem? Can someone help?
Why you Dont put a Rear wheel of GSXF 750 98-07 ? 4'5" for a 160/60
How does the kit fit into the exhaust of a bandit 400
I guess u could morris code
Sir wiring diagram please
Am sorry, but the finish on the gastank is horrible, otherwise nice restore.
Tank is rusted, anyway it's not a showroom restore it's just for having fun
Tutorial how to make it with arduino please
very good i need more info
That is trick! Love the gear indicator!
Brooo...This bike is legendary.I own one 400cc.
Beautiful! Do you have tips for someone like me who wants to buy one on the aftermarket? Things to check?
To be honest it's a very simple but also very old bike. You need to prepared to service everything like a restoration. I would think it would be near to impossible to find a well maintained for sale. Having said that, if you are willing to work on it yourself it should be easy and cheap to fix. But the only way to make the engine run properly is full rebuild of the carburettor which can easily cost you £200-£300. I would also expect the fuel tank to be rusty
@@goozlo thank you mate , it doesnt sound impossible ^^
Great project , I want it for my bike
wowwww 😮😮😮😮
Hello, This is great. Can You explain more about AFR and rpm reading signal? Can you contact me through email or so?
I use an O2 wideband sensor and I get a 0-5v signal back
Top speed ?
Probably around 200kph but I'm not sure
Thank you , I recently bought a 1993 bandit 400 vc version it maxs 140kph could be carb issues what do you think ?
Hey bro why do you like to suddenly turn off the engine? because of what?
If you watch my other videos, I have developed my own ecu that reads sensors and controls the clocks, this video was still in testing period and I was doing that to reset the ecu

I just got my bandit too & im having problems with it maybe you could help?
What problems do you have?
mera vi hay slingshot....miter ka problem hay
What problem?
So what is this round thing you are showing at the start?
That's the gear position sensor that plugs into the gearbox
@@goozlo is that part of the bike or something you had to purchase separately?
Most bikes already have it. I had to get a new one because mine didn't had all the wires
what bike is the fork from?

What's your exhaust and air filter set up? Bike sounds sweet
102.5 main, 35 pilot, 2 turns out mixture screws, 14.6mm float height, middle clip needles. Stock air filter, exhaust is the stock but modified to be free flow.
@@goozlo nice one. Has yours got the variable valve timing motor?

Your killing it
How's that?
@@goozloidk the first guy said it and i figured that he might know a thing or two
There's too much mud in the gasoline
It was just some rust and water in the exhaust
The rear shock is a straight bolt on or do you need to adapt it ? It goes in without modifications?
You need to relocate the coolant tank under the tail covers to make room
WOW!!!! That thing is incredible!!!! Does it have fuel injection?
This is exactly what I'm currently trying to do! What library do you use for the GUI? I've started with LVGL so make things are bit more beautiful. I'm planning on showing the outside temperature and a compass.
Neat, congrats ! Love the displays - did you hack them ? ! I notice the indicated rpms dont match the analog gauge - calibration needed ? Have you made a PCB or is it still a wired prototype ? What is the rpm sensor ? I imagine packaging a challenge ? (ESP32 and 8266 and displays in the 'clocks' and maybe GPS a in a waterproof case under seat / tank also ?), what is the rssi of the ESPnow wifi transmissions ?. GPS satellite visibility an issue ?
Esp32 is the main cpu, esp8266 is inside the rpm gauge and controls the round tft screen. They talk with espnow. I should have done the same for the 2 screen in the speed gauge, instead I use a multiplexer and i2c extender directly from the esp32. No pcb yet, just got everything running and still have a couple small changes to do in the hardware. For now I have everything under the tail in a waterproof box. To read the rpm I use the signal from an extra rpm gauge, that produces a much cleaner signal. Still not perfect but good enough and I do some filtering in the software. I believe that at least at low rpm my digital reading is more accurate than the analogue gauge. I use interupts in microseconds. Remains to be seen at higher rpm. It does a few more things that you saw in the video, I'll upload updates
@@goozlo Hmm I guess you could either filter the analog signal with a resistor/capacitor as well as a digital filtering algorithm. 'Noise' could be an indictor that the processor isnt keeping up with the interrupts, you might be able to add a debug flag for that. Also real time programming with interrupts can be tricky, maybe use freeRTOS primitives available for ESP. Best !
This is great!
Is it possible to see a schema somewhere? I am curious, why do you use two controllers ) Also I'd like to know how you deal with power consumption when standby
Esp32 is the main cpu, I use esp8266 to control the round screen with espnow. Less cables this way and more available pins. On standby it all shuts down, it draws around 240ma on idle. It has a few sensors and GPS module, so it can't really work in standby. I would need more pins to shut down the power to the sensors I don't need.
On my ESP 8266 + GPS speedometer setup I actually threw in a 555 timer creating a 10-minute delay on powering it off, (and the power signal to my radio also) that way if I stop to get gas or drop off something it doesn't have to search for GPS again or restart my music initiation process. The 555 just turns on a relay that is signaled when ignition is first on and has a turn-off delay when the ignition signal goes away. Great stuff! I was planning on having my ESP also run a web server so I can adjust it from a web page with my phone, calibration parameters for the sensor readings. I might even add a flutter app that talks to it over Bluetooth, but I'm guessing that would interfere with ESP Now? Just throwing you some ideas that I have to make your life more complicated as well! Haha Good luck, friend! I look forward to seeing any type of motorcycle mods.
I used a Seamuing GPS module with integrated antenna from amazon and it gets a fix extremely fast, I did test several modules. When I turn off the ignition everything powers off, I didn't see any real benefit in standby and it would create more issues. I get the time from gps. I have made an app that sends data to my mod for data logging, it's only one way communication. It doesn't seem to interfere with esp now, but I haven't tested thoroughly yet. I use an esp8266 for 2 reasons. 1. Esp32 didn't have any free pins to drive the round tft screen 2. Less wires, they talk to esp32 wireless. I should have done the same for the 2 screens in the speedometer. I calculate the speed from engine rpm and gear, but I also compare it to GPS speed to determine which one is more accurate.
Super :D
Amazing project! 👌👌
That is really cool! Do you have a github with this?
Not yet, once finished I'll upload the finished project
