This is a nice rifle! I have a "GP" weapon set up for about 200 and in... But it can go further if needed. Yours is set up to do "shorter ranges" if needed, but it's gonna shine further out. If I owned it, I'd call it a DMR/RECCE... But then again, what business is it of mine! 😏 (Love the OD green! Have that on mine as well, including that excellent K+ grip)
Shoot a group with the suppressor then take it off and put it back on and shoot another group. As the POI-shift when the suppressor is attached is consistent, then take note of the shift and you’re good to go for the future.
Did just that the other day. Suppressor shift is a bout 2 inches down towards 5 o’clock. With the zero stop feature turrets on the scope I can dial in the shift for the suppressor. Pretty sweet!
I have the same optic but I added a primary arms md20 red dot. Also I swapped to that same trigger and love it. Was able to shoot half inch group at 100 yards using AAC 77 grain Sierra matchking.
I have a DD MK18 as well with the YHM Turbo K, small shift at 100 yards, the M4A1 with a 3x9 scope and offset irons I noticed a shift, I’m looking at swapping to the dead air keymo QD system or the YHM SRX system, but that’s another $200-400 worth of gear, priorities aren’t there yet, cause I’m still dropping hogs at 300 without much issue with either rifle with or without can on
I will say on your wrap on the rail, I did the same thing but switch to the Lunar Concepts Hot Pocket from Wisemen Co. and works SO MUCH GOODER…… and a big + it has OD Green to match your build
If you are running bcm’s enhanced lightweight barrel it’s been known to have shift when adding a suppressor. I run the medium fluted barrel profile and it doesn’t do that no where near the lightweight profile does.
@@ExplorersWorkbench yeh man totally normal stuff that’s why I went with the thicker medium barrel they also offer a gov profile but the ELW that you have is still a phenomenal barrel and it’s super lightweight so all around a great choice. Just have to zero with suppressor if you plan on running one.
If you decide to swap barrels look into the Criterion Core barrels. They are a bit more $$ but we’ll worth it for a duty/precision build. I use them in all my builds and getting sub moa in all from my 12.5” to 18” with flavors in between
I have a YHM 30cal Gen 1 that I shoot on my SPR 18in Criterion 223wylde. It too as a major POI shift. 3 MOA right and 1 MOA up I think with the Can on.
@@ExplorersWorkbench it’s not about being a fan of a look but it’s about practicality and what’s not going to get you killed. To each their own I supoose

Beating a dead horse but yeah bipod is backwards. Love this clean style of content buy the way. Keep it going!
Ya I flipped it. Thanks man! I appreciate it.

Damn! Nice shootin!
I consider this to be a YDR setup. Your damn rifle setup 👍🏽
Amen!
Nice rifle build. I’m going to get that PA 2.5-10x scope whenever they get them back in stock.
Ya I love it!
I wish they would put the BPR MIL reticle in the 2.5-10 that would be a bad ass optic
Love the LaRue triggers man can't beat the price. Your rifle looks awesome.
Thank you! Ya I like the LaRue more every time I use it.
Flip that bipod around and you got a nice setup. Can't load it backwards the legs will fold in.
Ya it’s been adjusted. That was the “Rookie Setup” not the “Recce setup” hah!
Was also my first throught

nice! let me know how it works
@@ExplorersWorkbench I for sure will, probably gonna put a video on it on my channel

will look into it! thanks
Regarding poi shift, bcm has said they don’t recommend the elw for suppressors.
Ahh ok gotcha
@@ExplorersWorkbenchYeah…barrel deflection is going to be a lot carrying such a heavy load on such a thin barrel.
@@BrothaGoodReps gotcha!

Interesting. Mine is closer to 3 Moa right and 2 moa down.
The zero stop on my scope is nice, cuz I know exactly what to dial in for the can.
@@ExplorersWorkbench strange that it's so close. Wonder why this is. I just zero the gun with the Can. I rarely ever shoot it unsuppressed anyway.
@@artist_with_a_gun Ya I dont know. I've only shot with 62 grain ammo. Will test it with others as well
Very cool setup
thanks
I just about finished my SPR/MK12 concept rifle… And now I see another gap to fill..
Good Stuff! building out rifles is a blast.
Nice setup
Appreciate it.
I have a very similar rifle, but mine is a 14.5 with a holosun. Do you have wobble between your bcm upper and psa lower?
Nice! No wobble that I’ve noticed. Pretty solid lock up.
SPR. i feel like a GPR would have CQB capabilities as well
Thanks. The offset sights allow for cqb engagement, no?
I run a 45 deg offset red dot for quick close engagement. Sited in optics at 100 yds and off set to 50 yds.
That’s cool, now spray paint it.
Maybe one day
Any idea what that set up weights?
Flip that grip
Gets that ak look 😂
Haha it feels better imo
@@ExplorersWorkbench I say we call it a scoped ar
Totally ends the recce, dmr debate stuff
That’s fair
It is a do all ar15.
Does check a lot of boxes!
How far do you normally shoot with this setup? What grain do you use?
I’m just using 62 grain green tip until I can find a longer range. I’ve only shot out to 200 so far.
You from PA? I thought I heard an accent
Haha yes
@@ExplorersWorkbench ha good man, I grew up in Lancaster
@@ericvassilaros1119 good stuff!
Your bipod is on backwards
Yes that’s true
I feel because of the scope, I would have to say this rifle can only be an SPR. No way can it be a GPR. Nice build.
Ok nice.
Why not just paint your rifle?
Not a huge fan of the painted look.
