    This one best demostrations of the lower range Yamaha soundbars I have watched. The audio demo was very good, I could really hear the difference between the 107 and the 105. Thanks for a very good demo.

    Thank you my man, I was considering to buy a soundbar with subwoofer but don't have enough space so I was looking for Yamaha yas 105 all in one and then I clicked on your video... Here in Italy the difference of price is around 20€ so I will definitely buy the 107 tomorrow morning it's decided. Thank you thank you thank you for this great comparison :)))

      Hey Meletis Stavridis
      , By the looks and specs, I have serious doubts about the quality of the 7100BT, to be honest. The s880db are great speakers for the price. The YAS-107 does movie sound more justice than music. If music is more your thing I would go with a 2.0 setup.

    It sounds like there's vibration and static, but is that because it's rattling on your table? Also it would have been really helpful if you could have edited so that the audio for each speaker played each song consecutively. It would have been easier to spot the differences. Just a suggestion for any future videos

    I was considering the Vizio but reviews on quality are mixed. I've had good luck with Yamaha products over the years. One of the issues with wireless subs is loosing connectivity so having the bass in the same box means no interference or dropped signals. I do not have HDMI out but do have optical and want to know if these respond to the TV volume control or do they only work with their own remote?

    • @halfglassfull
      @halfglassfull 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ok thanks unit on the way. TV is couple of years old specs don't say the HDMI supports those but even if not the Yamaha remote is better than using the crappy PC speakers with manual control.

    • @halfglassfull
      @halfglassfull 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just got the Yamaha 107 from Amazon. TV is a 2012 Samsung un40eh5050 40 inch, has optical audio toslink port and 2 hdmi in. Optical to the Yamaha sounded good but of course can't control volume without the 107's remote. I did not find anywhere in the specs that the HDMI supports ARC, HDMI ports are not labeled as such. But I realized that because the TV is hooked up to a Windows media PC, and runs off an NVidia gt620 graphics card (which has two HDMI outs) I could connect the second HDMI port on the graphics card to the Yamaha HDMI input for the sound, which gives me digital audio and volume control from the PC which I control from a WMC specific remote. WIndows 7 immediately recognized the Yamaha. Works good. I need to try HDMI cable from the ARC out to the TV HDMIs but I doubt it is supported. Based on what I read ARC can be flakey. THanks for your help.

      I’m running a Yamaha YST-SW120 subwoofer that I got back in 1995...it still delivers. I’ll be picking up this Yamaha sound bar to pair together since my current sound bar doesn’t support ARC. Yamaha is good quality and for the price it’s probably the best value you can find.

      Hey Johnson82ish. Thanks for watching. Yeah the T40 Series II. I have them connected to a X-Fi extreme music. As for PC speakers the quality is good but I think the YAS-107 is more suitable for use with the TV. It has deeper bass and better balance. Plus you have the remote control to change your audio settings. I hooked it up with a Chromecast and most of the time I use it to stream music to it :)

    if this soundbar lays flat on a tv stand or mantel; and you don't mount it... do you lose a lot of the sound? The profile is so much larger if it were mounted, I'm afraid that you lose a ton by not mounting it.

      Thanks, your review helped me to take a decision, I'm not very sensitive to treble so I think I'll be ok with the Yas 106, I already bought a refurbished Yas 106 in 99 USD that's for my room TV, I like that it has HDMI (ARC) input, probably I will buy a Yas 107 or Yas 207 in the future for my main TV.

      I just checked the total, it was $140, this time "only" increased $40 over the original value, very good value for this article, but I also want to buy a subwoofer (Polk Audio PSW10) is 90 USD and the cost of importing it is $90 (total $180), considering that the minimum wage here is 280 USD/month, that's a considerable amount of money, and also consider that I research for the cheapest way to buy, usually people here pay a lot more than me for those articles.

    Hey there guys, thanks for the excellent review on the Yamaha YAS 108!
    I'm curious 🤔 (having a lot of trouble figuring out bluetooth freatures specifically)?!!!
    🔘 Can you connect two seperate Bluetooth earbuds to the soundbar, so that:
    🅰️ Two people can listen to the audio output via their Bluetooth earbuds (connected to the soundbar) simultaneously?
    🅱️ Use soundbar built-in speaker output >> ✔️ so you can either just listen via earbuds, (❔❕ Like for late night listening, where you don't want to disturb others in the household?), ✔️✔️ or with soundbar speakers AND attached earbuds at the same time, (❔❕ Like if one member of the household is hard of hearing and uses their Bluetooth earbuds to listen, whilst others in the room can still listen via the soundbar speakers?).
    If anyone has been able to do this, or can suggest a soundbar with Bluetooth 5.0 capability that can replicate above, I'd be most grateful for your assistance and advice. 🙏🤗😜
    Cheers,
