The wife and I had gone to Toronto Canada to see The Tragedy Hip perform and little did we know Weezer was one of the opening acts, so we made it to the front row before the set. I’ve been to a lot of concerts but Weezer was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen, they played extra heavy,flawless and great interaction with the crowd. I consider myself blessed to be part of that generation of music growing up as a kid.
My wife and I had a similar experience and we saw them in Philly at a concert with less than 4,000 people. They played for 3 hours just like you described. Like a month and a half later we discovered she was pregnant with my only son who's now 11. We narrowed it down to our Weezer concert. Hahaha
Love that Big Apple strat!!! I think Rivers thick sound can be attributed to the fact that he used a Gibson Les Paul double cut with P90's in the studio to record the blue album.
Thank you so much man. I love my Big Apple double humbucker strat. I bought this thing brand new over 20 years ago. It's been in a funk band, thrash band, metal band, weird alternative off-time tempo band, cover band, and now fills in here and there for the Pink Floyd tribute I'm in. It literally is the most neutral guitar I've ever had. As clean and as heavy as one desires on command. Still plays like it's brand new. 😎
You're very good explain step by step, my only suggestion is the camera angle need to be "from top to bottom" not bottom to top reason why... Is a bit hard to see... Where or what string you're playing, so if you put the camera above the guitar neck, it'll be easy to see what strings are being played.

I'm sorry to say this, but what you show in the video is far from accurate. You haven't played any single part of the song properly! Don't get me wrong, it works fine as a cover or your own interpretation of the song, but saying this is a tutorial is a bit presumptuous and misleading.

No, this is wrong in so many spots, starting with the intro.
Is that the exact fuzz pedal that weezer use? Is it a fuzz or distortion?
I totally didn't try to mimic their sound at all. I just selected one of my preset distortions.
I use big muff with tone knob around 0 and it kinda sounds similar
