What kind of screws are holding it in place? I got the same unit but the screws are round and small I cannot take them out to seperate the units.. someone please help...

If I am understanding you correct you are wanting to separate the two solar panels. They are not meant to be separated. The hinges are riveted to the frames as is the controller. The only thing that can be removed are the side stands. Why do you want to separate the two panels?

I got a good deal on a damaged product.
      I got the 200w solar for $80
One solar is completely broken as in glass is all shattered .. another one is brand spanking new untouched.
That's why I want to seperate the broken 100w from good 100w and get a 100w renogy rolar for $80
I really want to seperate the two solar panels..
Is there any way you can point me in right direction bud I'd appreciate it

Are the hinges that are holding it in place metal or steel? I can't tell..

@@igorshravljevic7784 I understand. My recommendation would be to lay the set of panels face down (glass down). Remove the rivets on the damaged panel by using a hand drill with a 3/16 inch drill bit. Use relatively light pressure and drill until the head of the rivet comes off. Do not drill through the hinge and into the aluminum frame. Go slow. Hopefully the replacement panel already has the holes drilled in it for new rivets. You need a rivet gun and the proper diameter and length rivets to properly secure the hinge to the replacement panel. Here is a very low cost example of a rivet gun kit that can be on your doorstep in one day. amzn.to/3GVS1Ox

Will this work with the Bluetti EB150 generator?

    • @KensGarage1
      @KensGarage1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I don't know what that is. Maybe someone else can help you out???

@@jazzycattruthkitten4101 Oh, one of those. I can't see why it wouldn't work. Report back what you find out if you don't mind. Just looked on amazon and it looks like that thing comes with solar charging panels already. Maybe you bought it without panels???

4/10/22 update. Please read through all of my pinned comments here for all the details of the "glitch" I experienced.
PSA There may be a glitch on my system. I keep it connected 24/7. I always check the controller. About a week ago it was displaying 15.8V. Too much. Normally in charging mode it will get to 14.7V, then when the batteries are charged it says FUL 13.6. I immediately emailed Renogy. They replied right away requesting photos. I emailed photos and more detail. No reply. I sent a second email. No reply. I will report back what they have to say when I hear back from them.

4/20/21 I have emailed Renogy four times now. They have not responded. Renogy, if you are reading TH-cam reviews I suggest you reply to case Case Number: 00200195. At this point my recommendation is to not purchase their products due to lack of customer response to a problem with the system. I have plugged it back in and it seems to be working properly again. But who knows when it will overcharge again.
8/28/21 Edit: I want to put another update here. On 5/19/21 Renogy did send an email reply to me:
      "Hello Ken xxxxxxxx,
Thank you for contacting Renogy. Hello Ken, I was going through some older cases of ours and had come across yours, Was wondering if you still needed assistance. If so please provided a preferred phone number and I can reach out to you asap. Hope to hear form you soon."
Strange that it took them that long to reply. I chose not to contact them. The overcharging condition has never surfaced again (that I have seen). We have been on several camping trips this summer. While at home I leave these panels plugged in 24/7. We have been on several camping trips this summer and the panels worked fine on the road also. So after approximately six months the overcharging glitch seems to have disappeared. I look at the controller frequently and it typically gets up to 14.7V and then reduces the charge as it should. I suppose there is still a shadow of a doubt that it may overcharge and I just missed looking at it at that moment. The two 6V golf cart batteries seem to be performing quite well using the system.

Sorry Duane. I am trying to get better at this but at this time I do not have a separate microphone and sometimes forget that the camera is far away, and I'm not directing my voice at it. I appreciate the feedback.
