no you did right nothing compares to the portal and im sure you now know this having both i had all 3 portal rog and steam and portal hands down is best for remote play absolute zero lag and latency always had lag and latency with my rog and deck and i have 1gig up and down

I can’t get controls to work correctly, when I’m in armory crate sitting in front of tv the controls work, as soon as I minimize to get into game the controls stop working except the mapped ps button, any ideas why?
I don't like how you demonstarted PSPLAY with just slowly walking in Fallout 4. You should've turned the camera and spin really fast or go into a high speed battle. Slowly walking is not a good showcase.

I set this up on my ROG ally and the buttons don't work in game at all! and every time I press the O/B key it asks if I want to terminate the stream, so that must be a hot key to end the stream so i cant use the O/B button...... super weird idk what's going on!

You must connect the controller to your Chrome Cast device. Not back to your PlayStation as this will lead to a connection termination by your console.
Can you remote connect to your ps5 if your ps5 at home is connected to the internet via Ethernet and you’re outside with your rog ally using your 5G mobile data hotspot? It’s not working for me for some reason.

Good morning Since I changed plan the application is messing up I want to play in Remote play the ps4 turns on and the phone disconnects very quickly, I tried everything automatic connection ect
The M1/2 buttons only work if I remap the universal configuration in AC, trying to set an individual profile for PSplay won’t work no matter if I’m in gamepad or auto mode, seems this is an issue on the Ally X. Maybe an update to AC is needed

Now this is interesting, but I have a question. Since I am playing Stellar Blade, to bring the map on yu must slide on the touchpad, and I was able to do it on Android using this application only, I didn't find a way todo it using Chiaki. So, how can I configure that correctly in this app? I would gladly pay for it if is possible. Thank you for sharing! 🙏
Good question! I’m pretty sure on Steam Deck OLED using the awesome Chiaki4deck we can swipe on the touchpads which acts as the slide for the PS5 touchpads, but because obviously the Ally doesn’t have touchpads and only button presses eg rear m1 to act as the touchpad then this may not be possible… it may be worth you trying out and I’m sure you can get a refund if it doesn’t suit your needs 👍

@@PeteTalksTech Actually, I went and pay for the software. Installed and found out you can use the whole ROG Ally touchscreen as the Dual Sense touchpad, so I am happy with it. Now my problem is that the video stops while playing, the audio continues, but the video stops for some seconds and the continues. Any advice with that issue? Thank you in advance!

Hmm Eric I haven’t encountered this - perhaps double check in Armoury Crate’s control mapping section that the B is set to B and not Esc or something? Also check this is the case within PS Play’s settings cog icon in the Keyboard mapping section there too, hope you manage to fix it!
Thanks! I assume we don’t need FMF with us simply remote playing which is why I turned it off, but I’d love to know from any great viewers if turning FMF on or off makes any difference for PS5 remote playing…
This App is amazing and better then PS Portal and Chiaki. Those have noticeable input lag and unplayable but i can recommend PS Play. Mine works with my PS5 wired with ethernet and my Rog Ally Charging dock with Ethernet with a Ugreen Ethernet adapter. No input lag. Im currently playing Doom Eternal and its amazing.
Struggling with the button mapping..for instance the M2 m1 mapping didn't work for me... And when in the PS5 via my ally, pressing B terminates the session, rather than go back in PS5 menu... Help?.
Hey Maz did you button map exactly as shown in vid so it maps ‘globally’ instead of just in this one app? Re. B, are controls in Armoury Crate set to Game Mode instead of Desktop? If this still doesn’t work, I think there is a Reset Controls button within Key Mapping in Armoury Crate. Any viewers have any ideas? 🤔
Yes going to the ally quick menu and changing from auto to gamepad controls fixed it for me! Oh man, I was stressing for a second there because I copied your mapping to the T and it wasn't working...hehe simple fix. Great performance so far!.only got to try Contra for now though loll. 🥂
Yes it does. You might need to configure port forwarding on your router. For me it couldn't to do it automatically. Also some wifi networks might block anything that doesn't use common ports, so I needed to set up VPN server on my router.
Fluid motion uses ai to estimate the next frame, making your frame per second look smoother, although this comes at the cost of input delay so it's not recommended for fps and fast paced games
Thanks for the tut..My mistake was I bought it before testing it. My screen blinks white ..I have tried to turn down the video settings to 720p but that doesn´t help.
I had this same issue, I found that the Access point I had in another room was causing this, soon as switched it off the white flashes stopped. Also make sure your Ps5 is hard wired. And your using Vulkan and and Vulkan compatibility.

I own both. I prefer the portal for remote play. Fo enable port forwarding on your ps5 and router. They're plenty of yt tutorials.

When I map the right or left ctrl button to M1 or m2 it still doesn't bring up the PS button when clicked...any ideas?
Make sure we do it in global settings so in Armoury Crate, then Configure, then in key mappings here rather than just on a per game basis 👍

You must switch to gamepad mode when you use PSPlay or your gamepad inputs will get interpreted as keyboard events if you are an full desktop mode

With vulkan I noticed a very big input lag, but it was better with the video decoder D3D11.

Disable steam input and switch to gamepad mode, then it will work fine.

Questions When sign in playstation on website keep say the connection server timeout

When i try to sign in my psn account it keeps saying request timed out or server timed out… but i everything in under 240 seconds

If you put the PS5 console to Sleep and not fully off, then yes this will turn it on so you can then remote play using this app 👍
