thinking of you is truly one of her best songs and im glad it's your favorite from this album too! She really expresses the sadness of the lyrics with her voice. The thing i love the most about this album is how real it feels, even in the vocals there's barely any processing and she kills it. She needs to go back to this sound

And for that I don’t exactly take it so seriously and enjoy it. But if I heard it now for the first time I would be like you and be turned off by it
I'm conflicted because I think this sound suits Katy really well, but other than the singles I'm not really feeling much of this album. I still wish she'd give this sound another try tho.

So it was a lot of things, dark sense of humor, different times, a specific situation, bad use of the language, stereotypes, so well, now it's just a joke for the fans cause it was never intented to be an insult for the community. Everyone can make their own assumptions I guess
this will always be my favorite katy perry album. not that i don't like her other albums, it's just her voice suits the pop-rock sound so fkn much. and i miss when pop rock used to be mainstream. good times.
In my opinion you need to reread the lyrics to Ur So Gay. Everyone feels a little off on their first listen cuz its a little hard to understand the lyrics but once you read them you get the message that its more about a guy thats so into himself that he's not there for katy in any relationship aspect which made her super frustrated and she wrote this song in peak frustration. But also take away the lyrics for a sec and listen to the beat...I personally love the brass instruments in the second half. Also give Circle the Drain from Teenage Dream a relisten. Except for the bridge and outro I would say its pretty much a rock song. Other than that I would agree with you on your ranking.
