Muslims are not sitting in dark room thinking of death, we are living and enjoying life just like you are my friend however sometimes humans can over do things and as you can see your friends in hollywood having the most fun end up blowing their brains out or jumping of bridges because of depression or too much fun...for us death is a reminder that life is short and eternal fun and happiness is in Paradise...hope you understand.

I am amazed that you found the answers you were looking for but for me, speech was not convincing enough and did not answer the basic questions satisfactorily. I spent 48+ minutes going through the speech of Khalid Yasin and I was indeed hoping to get answers for the fundamental questions like what is purpose of life ? why are we born ? -- What I got was the statement of presence of God through examples - Let me say that I do believe that there has to be some higher power who has created this whole universe...the whole world and beyond including all of us. I totally agree that it is done by that almighty creator ? But why has the creator created us ? If Almighty creator has no associates, no equals and is undisputed supreme lord - and no one can challenge that -- What was the need for that creator ( I do not know how to refer to that creator - not sure whether I can refer to the creator as HE or SHE) to create a bunch of life forms including humans ? I am sure Creator knows of all the people that everything is created by (him/her) so he does not need recognition or confirmation from such low life forms that (he/she) is the creator. If this is the initial purpose of life - that does not sound right. If our purpose of to conform to laws of the creator - that is also not in our hands - we have no choice but to conform to the laws of that creator - I agree that Creator is the sole entity (if I may call that) to create laws of nature and we are all bound by that -whether we accept it or not - but that is not the purpose of life -- that is default destiny of everyone -- even those who are thinking that they are not believing in GOD or some Supreme being -- are also knowingly or unknowingly conforming and follows laws of nature... So that does not sound like purpose of life ? Similarly praising the creator in gratitude is right thing to do because if this whole universe and beyond is the creation of the almighty creator, we human beings who are not even tiny specs in the grand scale of multiple galaxies and the whole universe/multiverse, all praise and appreciation be to him. I do not think that Creator would have created us to simple receive our praises. Almighty supreme already knows that Creator alone is deserving of all praises and respect of all living being (and dead as well). So the questions remain - what is the true purpose of life ? May be Almighty wanted us to discover the secrets that are hidden in this creation and eventually discover enough to understand that true purpose of life is to discover the same almighty through these science and discoveries. And while we discover all the secrets, we should ensure that as a life form, we are able to sustain ourselves for long enough. Because one life is too short and there are still infinite amount of discoveries to be made. Well so much of human beings - what is the purpose of inanimate life forms other than human beings ? Are they out there just to be killed and consumed by human beings ? What happens to those animals who just live and die of old age and never came in contact with us? what was their purpose ? Is our purpose to achieve salvation and nirvana from this life ? If that is the purpose - why were we born ? Because DEATH is the ultimate truth and no one has escaped DEATH, why did Creator created us ? If we are Creator's creation, how can we DIE ? I think there are lot more questions, and while I would really be shattered, if there was no GOD or CREATOR, we need to still struggle to come up with good understanding of why we are born and why CREATOR created us.

If Allah deems your heart rotten, a state you yourself has brought about & upon your soul.
One does this by 1st convincing himself that there is no manners or accounting & 2nd by acting on it stepping on ppl's heads to get ahead. Then you've truly chosen & Allah, according to free choice will oblige you.
He will supply you with the fuel to take that course to its end, money, pleasures, power etc.
He helps you along the path to your own destitution.
And that, too quickly, ends in disease then death, at which point one is shocked by the triviality of his labor.
The world, which God set, as an enticement & trap, for the arrogant, possessive, selfish souls, has deluded you into defiling your self. Now God usually sends you signs as a form of intervention. But if one ignores them, then he will let one loose to mire himself in the swamps of this lowly world & while they drown, Allah ceases to care.
      That is misguidance.

May I ask, do you/did you listen to his music. Obviously I am a fan of his, particularly his guitar work. He was also a very high intellect regarding society, government, media control of certain narratives. Alhamdulillah, I don’t listen to popular music, watch the videos or allow my children to but I must admit, I enjoy music, jazz, old school Rap like Public Enemy, conscious music with meaning. I know it’s not looked on favourably and I will get many messages quoting Hadeeth and telling me I am a sinner.

@Anil Dubey, firstly, I'd like to greet you accordingly, so Asalaam Walaykum my brother. Now, with regards to your comment, which I read with much interest. I personally happen to think that perhaps you're looking at the situation microscopically, as opposed to macroscopically. Look at the bigger picture, rather than asking why there's "seemingly" no answer for this & that, many things are known ONLY to Allah , for example: the day of judgement. None but Allah knoweth the time & the day. Time, at this moment, permits me to give you the simplest answer that I can. So consequently, please excuse me for that. We, as humans, are here to worship & praise Allah. We believe in his messengers & in the day of judgement. We do NOT associate partners with Allah, like son or the holy ghost as some faiths do. But my answer to you would be firstly, read the Qur'an, it's printed in practically all languages, okay. Therein are answers for those that don't believe, or refuse to believe. Just as there are signs all around us. We are serving Allah in THIS Dunya (world 🌎) so that we may, by the decree & grace of Allah, can enter Junnah (Paradise). This world 🌎 is but a test for those who believe. A 1000 years in THIS life is considered a rather long time. But Junnah is forever. Just as you go to work & consequently get paid, so we worship Allah in THIS Dunya in order for us to enter Junnah, Paradise for ALL eternity. Just as those who live a corrupt, criminal, ungodly life in this world 🌎, they shall be paid only for what they've earned, Juhannam (Hellfire). Asking why Allah is there & who created him is not for us to ponder, we are told in the Qur'an how to live a Sunnah life, (like the prophet Muhammad , S.A.W) & to live a righteous life, to be humble & respectful, etc. You seem to want answers to questions that ONLY Allah knows the answers to. Allah azawajaal knows best, in ALL matters. We should concern ourselves with trying to live & lead a Sunnah life in order to attain Junnah. If you're genuinely interested in attaining answers to your various questions, then I sincerely suggest that you read the Qur'an. The last divine guidance for mankind. You shall find many answers & also, answers to questions that you haven't even thought about. This life is but a test from Allah in order for us to enter Paradise. That is the reason why we are here. As for "what is the meaning of life?" There are countless answers & examples . There is no ONE answer. For example, how long is a piece of string? Answer:Twice as long as it is from the centre!! Many would have replied "however long you choose to cut ✂ it". All different answers, but to the same question, you see. Over a Billion people have found the answer to what's the meaning of life. It's in the Qur'an. I recommend that you read the Qur'an sir, & therein you WILL find the answers that you're looking for. Al Qur'an isn't just a book, but an actual miracle in itself. Also, have you tried asking an Imam these questions? Remember always, this life is short, as in the blink of an eye, compared to eternity. We serve Allah, we die & we are questioned on the day of judgement, to ascertain whether we have lived an honest, sincere & Sunnah life. According to our deeds in THIS life, we will either enter Heaven or Hellfire. I can't really make it any clearer than that sir. But I will say that Insha Allah (God willing), you find the answers that you're looking for & embrace Islam. Walaykum Asalaam dear sir. Allah azawajaal knows best. Ameen. 🕌🕋✨🌙🌄🌅🌍📿❤💯

In that era Shaykh Khalid Yasin was delivering powerful and thought provoking lectures.
His delivery was clear and well paced just as this classic is.
It is probably one of the best lectures to share with for da'wah purpose.
Alhamdulillah that time the vibe around newly practicing and the community felt genuine.
Nowadays it's like fashion to be a Muslim and to talk about as oppose to really think about gaining closeness to your maker.
May Allah (swt) make us a honourable people as our community once was,

I will say anything that. would distract from his subject. May Allahu ta ala guide those who consider becoming a Muslim due to his work. I enjoyed his approach and gentle touch on human sensitivity. I do admit that my approach and touch is design for those with Iman. I remain. I am Imam Mujaheed, Kauai, Hswaii.

💬For example take a look the first statement:
🌹Dont insult (Q49:11), when you google Quran 49:11, then you will see the complete surah’s English translation and you will see following:
☝🕋O believers! Do not let some ˹men˺ ridicule others, they may be better than them, nor let ˹some˺ women ridicule other women, they may be better than them. Do not defame one another, nor call each other by offensive nicknames. How evil it is to act rebelliously after having faith! And whoever does not repent, it is they who are the ˹true˺ wrongdoers.☝🕋
    🤲🌻ALWAYS REMEMBER🌻🤲:
✍Allah is the most merciful and forgiving, no matter how much you have been sinning, run towards Allah , turn to Allah and repent , ask for forgiveness. Some references from the Quran:
    🌺🌺🌺🕋Quran 39:53🕋🌺🌺🌺
Say, ˹O Prophet, that Allah says,˺ “O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allah’s mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
    🌺🌺🌺🕋Quran 25:70🕋🌺🌺🌺
As for those who repent, believe, and do good deeds, they are the ones whose evil deeds Allah will change into good deeds. For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

I do think life is too perfectly ordered to be an accident. Our bodies are too perfectly organized to be an accident. Someone or something or God orchestrated this. I agree with you on the fact that it cant be chance. Our ability to reason makes it easy to see to life is beautifully orchestrated and is not random.

      21. O people! Worship your Lord who created you and those before you, that you may attain piety.
      22. He who made the earth a habitat for you, and the sky a structure, and sends water down from the sky, and brings out fruits thereby, as a sustenance for you. Therefore, do not assign rivals to God while you know.
      23. And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a chapter like these, and call your witnesses apart from God, if you are truthful.
      24. But if you do not-and you will not-then beware the Fire whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.
      25. And give good news to those who believe and do righteous deeds; that they will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with fruit therefrom as sustenance, they will say, “This is what we were provided with before,” and they will be given the like of it. And they will have pure spouses therein, and they will abide therein forever.
      26. God does not shy away from making an example of a gnat, or something above it. As for those who believe, they know that it is the Truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, “What did God intend by this example?” He leads astray many thereby, and He guides many thereby; but He misleads thereby only the evildoers.
      27. Those who violate God’s covenant after its confirmation, and sever what God has commanded to be joined, and commit evil on earth. These are the losers.
      28. How can you deny God, when you were dead and He gave you life, then He will put you to death, then He will bring you to life, then to Him you will be returned?
      29. It is He who created for you everything on earth, then turned to the heaven, and made them seven heavens. And He is aware of all things.
      30. When your Lord said to the angels, “I am placing a successor on earth.” They said, “Will You place in it someone who will cause corruption in it and shed blood, while we declare Your praises and sanctify You?” He said, “I know what you do not know.”
      31. And He taught Adam the names, all of them; then he presented them to the angels, and said, “Tell Me the names of these, if you are sincere.”
      32. They said, “Glory be to You! We have no knowledge except what You have taught us. It is you who are the Knowledgeable, the Wise.”
      33. He said, “O Adam, tell them their names.” And when he told them their names, He said, “Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of the heavens and the earth, and that I know what you reveal and what you conceal?”
      34. And We said to the angels, “Bow down to Adam.” They bowed down, except for Satan. He refused, was arrogant, and was one of the disbelievers.
      35. We said, “O Adam, inhabit the Garden, you and your spouse, and eat from it freely as you please, but do not approach this tree, lest you become wrongdoers.”
      36. But Satan caused them to slip from it, and caused them to depart the state they were in. We said, “Go down, some of you enemies of one another. And you will have residence on earth, and enjoyment for a while.”
      37. Then Adam received words from his Lord, so He relented towards him. He is the Relenting, the Merciful.
