Shaykh Khalid Yasin was born in New York City USA as a Christian, where he spent most of his childhood. The Shaykh embraced Islam with the late Shaykh Daud Ahmed Faisal of the Islamic Mission of America located in Brooklyn, New York in 1965.
The Shaykh has studied the sources of the Sunnah, the Islamic creed, jurisprudence, reading and recitation of the Qur’an, Islamic history, and the Arabic language, with several teachers and mentors.
Two of his main teachers are The late Hafidh and Qari, Maqbul Ilahi, of the Punjab, and Shaykh Khalid Al-Halwaany of Makkah, al-Mukarramah, who is a student of several leading Islamic scholars in the world today.
The Shaykh has dedicated the last thirty-five years removing distortions and misconceptions about Islam and Muslims. He has delivered lectures in more than eighty-nine countries worldwide, resulting in over 75,000 persons embracing Islam directly from his hands, or after listening to his over one hundred and fifty recorded lectures.

My Uncle and respected elder Yasin has one of the key for the success for our young ummah to better and that's unity and financial independence amongst the Muslims and years ago he encouraged the American community to step up and reset for Muslims to benefit from the Muslims work in the socity

You forgot to mention one important thing, which is the right to defend oneself in accordance with the values/principles of Islam. If injustice and/or harm was done to anyone of us, we have the right not to turn the other cheek.

How is marching weakest of faith? Weakest of faith is to hate on your heart. One above that is to speak out against it. On top of that, these people that march physically exert themselves in order to spend a whole day at a march, out in the freezing cold. Taking out precious time from there weekend in order to speak out against injustice.

His approach is good but it is also opinion based. I am absolutely not against demonstration or protest with placards and so on. It works pretty good this time.
Average Muslims could not do better than that. So i picked two important points from Sheikh which are making secret dua for the victims and making donations.
But definitely this protests help this time. The benefit creates huge awareness. Never before did pro-palestine has more support than this current conflicts.
Why is it that for decades that Muslims have been going out and demonstrating, there has been no change for Palestine? Why does Hamas always act in this way and reap nothing but chaos for the Palestinian people? We have left behind the Sunnah of our prophet and are acting exactly like our enemies. Sheikh Yasin relies on the teachings of our prophet throughout his speech. Without the union of Muslims and strong leadership, good organization of our financial and other resources, douas and everything that makes a strong nation, Muslims will achieve nothing.

The issue described by Sheikh which you reiterated is a matter for Muslim leadership and not common people out there. Stop using "Quran and sunnah" to sabotage protesters.
Why have QUR'AN and Sunnah not effective since you have been condemning protests?. It is the same thing you guys have have been saying since at least 2008. I don't expect leadership of Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries to go on the streets to protest. That's not their responsibility.. Their responsibility is to do what sheikh Yasin described because they are tasked by Allah for that.
But common people have the rights to peaceful protest. They can't do better than that. Stop using "Quran and sunnah" to undermine people.. That's hypocrisy.

Shaykh khalid Yasin is a prominent scholar and man of great learning who is an authority on Islam and and other branches of knowledge. He is worth listening speaker. He is a valuable asset for the Muslim people. I pray for his long life and happiness. His discourses are full of logic and reasons and can explain the Islamic traditions/accounts and Quranic words very beautifully and convincingly. I'm much impressed upon his way of speaking and elucidating the things.

Yes...there is some of us that is weak . But we are speaking out against oppression however weak we are we calling out to Allah the one and only who is all powerful for help and mercy. Allah hear the duas for the Strong believer and us that is weak. Please accept all our duas. Ameen

Love all that you do brother sheikh and agreed with everything you said accept what you said about not loosing a Muslim life to save Aqsa, now should we just hand over Makkah, Madinah and Aqsa because we might get killed? It’s not sitting well with me. We should fight to protect all these 3 sites. When to pick a fight and how is where we can step back and make wise decisions. Totally agree about needing good leaders and unite our resources and knowledge and build economy and defences just like the enemies have united against us.
Also as you said we need to ask Allah for help , not the people who are doing the killing or supporting it.
Creating awareness is something I somewhat agreed with but if it creates inconveniences to public who we are trying to get on our side and negative publicity then stop and just ask Allah and regular financial help.

Unless you will not correct the indoctrination you had to all Muslim to hate Christians and Jews from the first prayer you learned from early age until today, hate will never end. You will always aspire to eliminate the Jews and destroy Israel. Teach love because our God is love. He didn’t tell people to kill people because of religion. It’s what Mohammad who told you to kill in the name of Islam. Aren’t you researching about it? No prophet has called killing of people since time immemorial. But Mohammad taught you of this. Why? For God? From the beginning prophets brought the message of God to people to remind them the commandments but never have I heard about killing people. You know why? God is just. He can punished those people who do not follow including the Israelites(who are Jews because they are hard headed and repeated their sins). And Mohammad put justice on his hand? Isn’t God powerful to do it Himself. Further, you do not need to defend and kill for the name of true God. He is more powerful than all of us. Wake up and ask you imams why you have this kind of religion and teaching in Islam? Another thing, why when you go away from Islam either you will be killed or disowned? God is a forgiving God (throughout the times, God forgives people that’s why offering is being made). You must forgive because if you find the true God, He will change your life from the inside out.
