    Brady-Manning was almost like the Super Bowl. Everyone had it marked on their calendars, even if you didn't care for either of them. It was must-see football. Every game was memorable, and you were promised something special when you watched it. One of the greatest rivalries in sports. And I'm happy I was alive to see it.

      In both games they were facing sub par defenses. So while the offense scored a lot they were supposed to. The far more impressive feat is the Patriots D completely stuffing opposing offenses that were the strength of the team they were facing. The falcons offense and this denver D are two of the greatest ever judging by their seasons of work and the Patriots D completely shut down the falcons in the second half (remember a brady pick 6 gave them 7 of that lead so the D held them to 3 good drives) and in this game the Patriots turnovers resulted in either defensive tds or easy scores on a short field. So in both games I'd say brady is partially responsible for the hole and in both games I was far more impressed by his defense playing way better than they were supposed to and getting the other D tired by not letting them rest at all

    • @HugoStiglitz88
      @HugoStiglitz88 3 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      @@JohnGoetzGaming it's because Brady keeping his defense off the field gives them rest while exhausting the opposing defense. That's why comebacks like this can happen. Its why momentum can swing so drastically. Also, Brady is the GOAT and he plays better when under pressure

      Not always. He fumbled the game away against philly at the end, threw an int against indy in 07 at the end, couldn't get them a field goal against the Giants at the end or a touchdown the other time. There are numerous examples of him not being better under pressure and his defense getting the other team off the field fast resulting in theirs getting tired explains most of his comebacks

In fact the only games I missed where the entire ‘08 season when he was hurt because I was deployed and about half of the ‘09 season because I volunteered to deploy again. I would say since ‘93 I’ve probably missed 50 games total and many of those where during
    my 7 years in the military which included being stationed in Alaska for 3 years where it was hard to watch them live. When Tom took over I was actually relieved but of course NO ONE (outside of the 🐐 himself) could’ve predicted what he would go one to become and what he would mean to not just the NFL but the entire sports world. He transcends not just football but life in general. There will NEVER be another like him, HE WAS TRULY A ONCE IN A LIFETIME PLAYER…..AND HE IS THE G.O.A.T!!! Never forget this was the game that started pulling me away from football... I was so pissed at first I felt like I was going to have a stroke. Checked my blood pressure and it was right at 170 over about 130. I decided then no football game was going to kill me😂 but I was happy as hell at the comeback lol

    This was one of the coldest games to ever be played at Gillette stadium

    We'll never see games like this again. 2 QB's who could solo carry an entire football team.

      Brady couldn't. Part of the reason for the lead was his fumble. Then his D stopped manning for most of the game getting the Denver D tired and allowing the comeback.

    Remember watching this in the college dorm room lobby with a bunch of other guys. As a pats fan, this was soo sweet.

      @Ryan Irwin- Diehl i think it's cause of the bronco's orange jerseys. they're notorious of losing super bowls in a blowout by wearing those orange jerseys lmfao

    The great thing about this comeback is the Patriots offense wasn't very good this year and Manning threw for 55 touchdowns

    I was 13 when we played this game and I remember hating late night games bc my parents would make me go to bed at halftime. This was one of the rare times my parents let me get out of bed to watch the end of the game with them bc we couldnt believe what was happening. I miss these Patriots:(

      Similar experience. I went to bed at halftime, but my parents let me watch the 2nd half as soon as it was 24-10. I had a basketball practice the following morning that I was exhausted for, but totally worth it.
