Thanks for the very informative video. My only problem with getting plant sterols from margarine is that it's a processed food that generally contains palm oil which is implicated in raising cholesterol. Is it best to get them from tablets in stead?
It's difficult to imagine the Portfolio protocol's results would suffer substantially if the sterols were removed from the picture. This is such a strong plant-based whole foods approach, the natural levels of sterols and stanols in foods might well be enough by themselves. Rather than take a supplement, or try to seek out expensive margarines with additives, I'd stick to an abundance of the wonderful delicious plant foods that will do the heavy lifting.
