Just want to say thanks for the past 30 days of entertainment, inspiration and education! I must admit I'm going to miss my daily morning coffee w/ Hamilton time.
Thanks for doing these Maketember videos. I just received my 1F Journeyman this week. Your review of this machine helped convince me to purchase. The 30 Maketember videos have shown me shown me how much potential this machine has. I appreciate the advice you are giving everyone.
Dilbeck… you’re one cool dude. I am going to buy the entire pack for the simple fact that it includes this file. My grandson (when he is old enough) is gonna love this!
Thanks Hamilton really enjoyed the videos all month. Wife and I would sit together drink coffee and watch the videos together. I'm off to ETSY to buy the months package just to have a spare project in my wheel house just for fun. See you tomorrow on the live feed,
Let me the first to say, you got the coolest name of all the TH-camrs in the world. You’re also waaaaay to happy to be a financially struggling garage woodworker like the rest of us, so congrats on marrying a rich women. Keep up the great work!! Really enjoying the videos.
Hamilton, you’re the most down to earth guy I’ve watched on TH-cam…. Thank you for all the videos, inspiration, thoughts, and entertainment this month. I’m happy and proud to be subscribed to your channel… I look forward to tomorrow and your bright future. Thanks!
I’ve watched every Maketember video and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Don’t put this in the category of mean comments, but I didn’t find a project that I thought ‘wow I want to make that!’ I throughly enjoyed the videos because you are very entertaining. Appreciate the effort 👍🏻
Ben Meyes is actually The reason I decided to go with a onefinity, I watched tons of videos on the other options. But it was really his review of it that sold me on it It really should have been the first video I watch.
I bought the whole month today and made a few bows tonight. I've got a market this weekend and I figured I'd try a few out and see how they sell. Had some scrap 1" ply and I love the heft that brings to these bows.
And yes…I watched to the end…even if you sweeping up. By the way, I’ve never…and I’ve told others to “never”, tell the wives that we’re professional sweepers. I’ve been one since 1979 when I entered into the machine tool industry. Now she’s gone, I’m retired, living in Montana and am having a blast with my Onefinity x50 Journeyman. Oh…and I’ve had fun watching your month of videos and have looked forward each and every day. Qualifications as an fyi. Machinist from 79 to 89. Worked on the B2 for almost 7 years. Worked as chief applications engineer for a machine tool distributor until 2002. Became a contractor for them with my own company. I also sold CAM software (FeatureCAM and then Delcam). Became an employee of Delcam in 2011, selling all their software…of which included ArtCAM. In 2013, we became part of Autodesk. I retired (ish) in 2016. And…have finally got my shop all set up after “finally” finding an incredible machine…”Onefinity”. I came out of the CNC world and have been close friends with the big machine builders. And…the ArtCAM software that I used to demo and sell is now owned by my old friends and fellow employees. And…that software is now called Carveco. Just thought you’d like to know. I’ve got the best machine programmed by the best software.
Your Maketember videos have been a highlight of my day over the past month. Will miss seeing them come October. Agree with Alan Rogers ... Bring on #Maketober.
Love the month of videos. I bought them all to support the only way I know how. Tips for shows: Multiple forms of payment Under a tent (the mineral oil/wax combo we use gets greasy in the sun) Plenty of business cards or some sort of marketing tool Interact with customers…it’s not easy but very important Have items in all price ranges
A sincere thank you, this month has been awesome to follow up on. As a beginning cnc woodworker this is exactly content I looked for. You seem to be a genuine great guy that I could get behind, but not in like a weird way 😂
As far as the market goes…. I’ve done it once, majority of my sales were card and not cash but make sure you can take both with square up or etc. I wish I would have had more entry level buys rather then expensive cutting boards when I did mine and any opportunity to put something in a customers hand or allow them to feel the quality of what you do is smart! Good luck fam
Congratulations, I thought you with a bow and arrows was an accident waiting to happen, you got through it unscathed. One of the reasons you're vids are entertaining is you include the faux pars, which we all do, and the show the solutions, even if it's making the whole thing again. The whole month has been fun to watch.
Well done Hamilton, it’s been a fun journey and you’ve inspired me. It seems that most TH-camrs concentrate on the theory of a cnc business and not on projects you can make with your cnc. I won’t be able to watch the live stream as I’m in a different country and can’t win anything regardless. But wanted to say thank you.
Awesome videos, Hamilton! I've watched almost everything you've posted on here over the last year or so and have loved them all. Very inspiring! Talking to everyone who passes, smiling, and telling people they can pick stuff up (especially kids) are what seems to work well for me at these fairs. Good luck!
Absolutely love your positivity! Very much appreciate your philosophy of sharing information to help out everyone. I got my 1F and sadly it is still sitting in the box.... I learn so very much from you and can hardly wait to put it into practice... not doing it for a business just a hobby and I want to make stuff for folks I'm close with--us old retired farts need a hobby to keep our minds working and our hearts happy. Be well and again thank you so very much for outlook we all (left, right, and center) could learn from it.
I wonder how many years you'll continue to find a piece of confetti in various crags and corners. Great job on making it all the way through the month! I bought the full set of files to support and recognize the hard work you put in to the entire series.
Ha Ha! IU Basketball! I don't know if you intended to do it, but I remember as a kid at the end of the I.U. basketball broadcasts, they had a guy sweeping the floors during an extended fade to black. Love it. Great month. thx
First market: have a TON of signs. Don’t expect buyers to ask how much, and don’t make them find a tiny tag. Bring methods to hold products with a good display WITH WIND IN MIND. We didn’t plan for wind like we should’ve. Just come prepared. Can’t wait for the live!
You gave me so many ideas and I thank you for that. I will admit that I’m not one who ever buys files from people. I like to be able to say that I made something start to finish. So I usually try to create the file myself but I will always tell where the idea came from. Thank you for all these very very cool ideas!!!!
Hamilton, I have looked forward to every one of your videos in this series! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your channel. It has been a real pleasure watching you from the very beginning! You have made me smile, laugh, learn… and scratch my head, sometimes in the same video and I love it! Go Ham, Go!!
Enjoyed all the projects and just watching the videos in general. You are quite the character and make a laugh and feel better about my screwup's after you make fun of yourself with yours.
@Hamilton Dilbeck Good morning! It came to my attention that several people, including myself, have problems with many of your tinyurl links. You may want to take a look at it. Thanks for Maketenber. It was awesome. Now I just have to wait till tonight to see if I still have to order my Onefinity or not 😉.
I think you should start training for a marathon because with the dedication, perseverance and stamina you would do it easily! Seriously like so many others I got a huge amount out of your daily endeavour. My Journeyman has made it to Aus and I should get it in 4 days so the fun will begin! Looking forward to your market experience and will also purchase the rest of your designs. Huge thank you!
Really appreciate all of your efforts this month. I do not have a CNC yet but hope to get one. I appreciate all of your honesty and not afraid to share the things that go wrong.
The list thing is super cool. I was thinking a kids chore list. Maybe it would work. Or not. Maybe the bow but they would probably shoot at grandma 👵 Cool vid.
Hamilton I eagerly waited for each project everyday, Great job!b You've given me the inspiration to get off my butt and start videoing my projects. keep up the great work! you've gained a loyal subscriber
Btw, Meyers wood shop’s wasteboard file mega pack is LEGIT! It was the one file I bought when I first got me CNC and the first thing I made were his clamps. They’re awesome!
Hamilton, thanks for all the Maketember videos. I really enjoyed your videos. Remember for the live stream, there will likely be a 10-30 second lag from what you’re saying until we receive your message. Good luck to us all and I hope to win the machine since the scammers told me I won it like 2 weeks ago 😂
I have looked forward to seeing each of the 30 videos for Maketember. As a new Journeyman Owner I have been a subscriber for a while and your videos helped me choose the OneFinity. You have done a fantastic job setting this all up and I cannot wait until next year to see how well it will expand with other creators. Thanks for all your effort to get this done.
All your videos this month have been great. Watching all of them got me itching to get out in the shop and making projects. Thanks for all your hard work, looking forward to the live stream.
First of all, thank you. This made a big difference for me as I was laid up for the last 10 days after surgery. I think a ton of us loved having a new project to see each day and files that we can purchase. Great job! It must have been a ton of work. Thank you. Here’s the idea… for the next Maketember-style series. 1) Let’s get a group of your subscribers together who have a cnc and can film a basic video. 2) You provide them with a file /project that you would like to feature 3) We use your file to film us making the project 4) We send you the video (somehow) and (assuming it’s not hot garbage) you put it up on your channel as the video for one of the days that month. That would cover a few goals… 1) community involvement 2) get your files out there 3) we get a ton of content and we get to try to make some content ourselves 4) you don’t have to spend 240 hours making videos And then, bam! Maketember! Or Makeuary or something. I’m sure we could get a bunch of people to chip in. Anyway… hope you like that idea. Either way, thank you for taking the time and effort and putting yourself out there. I look forward to the live stream.
Market tips: there aren't really many tips. Just make a checklist for things you'll need for sitting in one spot all day. A cooler, a canopy, a battery charger for phone, a comfy chair, stash box for cash, receipt printer for credit purchases, a backup notepad/legal pad, extra biz cards, sunglasses, etc. If you want to go the extra mile grab a three ring binder with printed pics of stuff you didn't bring but might want to sell or showcase. People can obviously hit a website, but odds of that happening drop as soon as they walk away. People are tactile, have a hard time refusing what is in their hands, and moderately impressed by such things. Good luck with the market, and thanks for a great month.
I thoroughly enjoyed Maketember! Your delivery is spot on, and the projects were awesome. I’ll be purchasing all 30. You even made sweeping a floor entertaining. 😂
Awesome job, brother. Didn't realize where you were located. I'm down the road in Columbus. I'm now planning on trying to make it up the market to see you. Just about 2.5 hours. I'll be sure to pretend like you should know who I am, lol. I've been planning on trying to start up my channel, you've inched me closer to it. Can't wait to win my CNC tomorrow. Lol.
GREAT PROJECT! This ranks up there with the lawn darts we had when I was growing up. I think I would buy a pool noodle and cut it up to use for the tips instead of yarn, but that is a minor change.
I loved #Maketember Hamilton! Hoping one day I can get myself a cnc machine as it's a fascinating tool! And as someone who dabbled in Autocad in HS, it's definitely something I'd like to try again.
I just purchased the whole file packet from your Etsy page can't wait to try some of the files out I have a small cnc for now but have really been looking at the Onefinity I will be on the live stream tomorrow.
I have heard by a few people doing things like this market you are doing with one of them being my sister that sitting up front in a chair that gets you up to eye level with those passing your booth. Also try and build height on your table along with a good sign that makes you stand out.
Hamilton, Thank you so much for doing this! It has personally been a very rough month for me and you gave me the inspiration I needed to get my butt out into my woodshop and crank out a few projects of my own for #Maketember. Sometimes it is all too easy to let everything that is going on around us become overwhelming and bring us down. Thanks for sharing and encouraging us to get up and make something! Bring on #Maketober! LoL
Congrats dude! The biggest draw for me watching this series was not necessarily the project but seeing your process and price breakdown. Very helpful stuff
Congrats on making it to the finish line good sir. This has been a great series and I am sad to see it end. I am excited to see how your channel grows over the next year and what the next Maketember holds. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride.
I completely enjoy all your videos, you definitely are a inspiration. I'm actually in GA and I think I will come check you out at your market place. Keep inspiring your way ✨️
i would cut arrow diameter slot in the middle of the bow and put a small plastic strip over it, i would fasten it on 1 side and bend the other end outwards so you could just slide the arrow into the slot between the plastic strip and bow. since the plastic acts as a spring, it would hold the arrow in the slot. i hope you get the picture, it would be a simple edit and no drilling
I will be at a craft market that day also. Actually, the one I’ll be doing is Friday, Saturday, Sunday. It’s my first 3 day show so I hope the weather holds out. Tips: set up your booth so that people can see what you have. Laying everything flat on a table doesn’t help people passing by see what you have. Try to have things propped up or use shelving or racks that you can hang stuff. Don’t worry too much about decorating because it can distract from the product and people will be confused by what is for sale and what is decor. Keep it simple with table coverings and stuff like that. PRICE EVERYTHING! Lots of times, people want to browse and not have to ask “how much is this?” If they have to ask for a price, they may not even bother. Smile and be available for questions but don’t be a “car salesman” if you know what I mean. Sorry to all you car salesmen out there. 😁😁😁. Let people look. Greet everyone. Answer questions. Be available. Lastly, have lots of change and a way to take cards or alternative payments. Change: I bring $100 in ones and $100 in tens and fives because typically within the first hour, you will break a $100 bill. I also use the square card reader. You can get one free from square. I recently upgraded but only because I wanted to. The reader works great. Oh and one of those pens that checks for fake bills… you can get them from Walmart or Amazon. Anyway I hope this helps. 😁😁😁 good luck! I love doing craft fairs!
Thank you for doing this. I want to get a CNC but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet due to price. But I love seeing what you are making with it. I would love to see how you make the files for the CNC, that is another thing stopping me from buying one is making the files or paying for them.
Great project and ending, you should make this a yearly thing. or a quarterly thing or a seasonal thing, think you would do great with it thanks again for the month long effort
Awesome job! I’ve done inktober before but next year I hope to try maketember. I couldn’t imagine doing maketember and making videos though. Maybe if I quit my job or get a divorce. Neither sounds like a good idea 😂😅
I too am doing a show 10/8 in Nc ,it will be my first... my brother in law asked me to bring my stuff and share his booth. Don't know about you buy I am nervous about it 😬
Just want to say thanks for the past 30 days of entertainment, inspiration and education! I must admit I'm going to miss my daily morning coffee w/ Hamilton time.
I built a 4x8 cnc 5 years ago and I just love your videos. Showing mistakes is wonderful and so is your presentation
Thanks for doing these Maketember videos. I just received my 1F Journeyman this week. Your review of this machine helped convince me to purchase. The 30 Maketember videos have shown me shown me how much potential this machine has. I appreciate the advice you are giving everyone.

Congratulations to all the work you've done this month. It's so a mess to work and make video the same time. Thanks for sharing this "trip".🥰

I was surfing the comments after mine and I gotta agree, the dude seems so down to earth
looking forward to tomorrow. I have watched each day. Its been fun. I will actually miss this videos with my coffee.

Plenty of business cards or some sort of marketing tool
Interact with customers…it’s not easy but very important
Have items in all price ranges
Thanks for the support and for the tips! Those are some really good ones that I'll for sure bring up in the video!!

Thanks Hamilton this month has been the greatest motivator to get started selling my projects
Good to see I'm not the only one that needs to clean his shop. btw, that is one huge squirrel.
Well done Hamilton, it’s been a fun journey and you’ve inspired me. It seems that most TH-camrs concentrate on the theory of a cnc business and not on projects you can make with your cnc.

Deep wisdom from the dad of a toddler. "Kids come in different sizes"
Great job Hamilton. I've really enjoyed this series. Ill be watching tonight, with the Braves on in the background.

You make an excellent "Rocking Chair Philosoper!" Enjoyed your videos and delivery... fun stuff.
Enjoyed the month of videos. Thank you for being you.
Nice job this month Hams. Lot to take on but for someone like me new to CNC the range of products is fun and interesting.
Great job with Maketember, thanks for all your hard work.
Hamilton I watched and enjoyed every maketember video. Thanks for taking the time to make all the videos
You’re a boss for seeing this through! Looking forward to the livestream tomorrow! 🎉
The list thing is super cool. I was thinking a kids chore list. Maybe it would work. Or not. Maybe the bow but they would probably shoot at grandma 👵
Cool vid.
Nice overall project for the month. Glad you made it to the end. Watched almost daily and will purchase your files soon. Great job!!!

You have done a fantastic job setting this all up and I cannot wait until next year to see how well it will expand with other creators. Thanks for all your effort to get this done.
I've really loved the series, thanks for doing it Hamilton!
Can't wait for the giveaway! Thanks so much!
2) You provide them with a file /project that you would like to feature
3) We use your file to film us making the project
4) We send you the video (somehow) and (assuming it’s not hot garbage) you put it up on your channel as the video for one of the days that month.
That would cover a few goals…
1) community involvement
2) get your files out there
3) we get a ton of content and we get to try to make some content ourselves
4) you don’t have to spend 240 hours making videos
And then, bam!
Just gona say HI 👋 got the recommendation from a podcast ( Three northern makers) to come here and watch your vids. I'm about to binge watch it all. 😌
I thoroughly enjoyed Maketember! Your delivery is spot on, and the projects were awesome. I’ll be purchasing all 30. You even made sweeping a floor entertaining. 😂
Can. Not. Wait. For. The. Livestream.

Another good video funny and Affordable ideas… now back to the show lol!!!
I loved #Maketember Hamilton! Hoping one day I can get myself a cnc machine as it's a fascinating tool! And as someone who dabbled in Autocad in HS, it's definitely something I'd like to try again.
The toy bow is a neat little project.
Thanks!
I just purchased the whole file packet from your Etsy page can't wait to try some of the files out I have a small cnc for now but have really been looking at the Onefinity I will be on the live stream tomorrow.
Well done and congratulations on providing a full month of projects. Thank you for your time and efforts!!
Love the sweeping shot at the end really made me appreciate the effort you put into this whole series thanks for doing this.
Love this bow and arrow! My favourite project of all #Maketember!
Great month. Hope you do well at the Oct fair.
Great job Hamilton, thanks for taking the time to share and encourage other CNC'ers.

Sometimes it is all too easy to let everything that is going on around us become overwhelming and bring us down. Thanks for sharing and encouraging us to get up and make something! Bring on #Maketober! LoL
Awesome video Hamilton. I think the bow and arrow thing was my favorite. Well done buddy. 👍🏻
Congrats on video 30! Another cool project.
Love the month of videos. Thank you for the effort.
Thanks for watching and commenting, that's what makes it worth the effort!!
Congrats dude! The biggest draw for me watching this series was not necessarily the project but seeing your process and price breakdown. Very helpful stuff
Congratulations on making it to the end. Good job
Congrats on making it to the finish line good sir. This has been a great series and I am sad to see it end. I am excited to see how your channel grows over the next year and what the next Maketember holds. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride.
Enjoyed your videos this month! You do such a great job! Thanks!
Great month of videos!
Thanks so much!!
I was entertained all month.
Thanks! I've enjoyed what you've done so far, I look forward to your future stuff.
12:07!!!! Hey, that's me!!!
This was a cool series Hamilton, I’m sure lots of work went into it, great job!
Woot 30 days done! Thank you for doing this! 🙌🙌
woo! Thanks for watching!
A year later you're going to be finding confetti in your shop. 🤣
Great work. Keep it up.
30. Such a great accopmplishment.
It has truly been an awesome month! October will feel dark and empty! Awesome job putting out these videos!
Congrats on your first Maketember! You did a great job!
Thank you for doing this. I want to get a CNC but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet due to price. But I love seeing what you are making with it. I would love to see how you make the files for the CNC, that is another thing stopping me from buying one is making the files or paying for them.
Thanks for all the work you put into this. I’ve had a CNC (Shapeoko) for a couple of years and I still learned a few things. Keep up the good work.
Great job Hamilton.
Now that the 30 days are over, what am I going to watch during my lunch break now 😂
GREAT JOB, and CONGRATS on a fantastic month of projects! Really enjoyed watching them every day.
I too am doing a show 10/8 in Nc ,it will be my first... my brother in law asked me to bring my stuff and share his booth. Don't know about you buy I am nervous about it 😬
Wow. Thanks for everything! Really like your videos
Not sure why but I was looking for a Ferris Beuller ending to the final Maketember video. Missed opportunity I say :)
Just watched the arrow making. We made similar ones with small nerf balls on the tips
