great vid of t5 George,I think Its the Perfect Tractor For General farm work if you don't need big power this tractor is just the right size and power to weight which is very important for a tractor to work at its best
Loved the T5, brilliant loader tractor, even after we tuned the front loader hydraulic response down by 60%. It was a bit too quick for me.🙂👍🏼 The Transmission made it in my opinion.
It's some machine mate, and the best powershift transmission I've driven 👍

You will find the 5S a smart little loader tractor as well, although the Dyna4 is no match for the T5s Dynamic command box.

We have just had a T6.180 Dynamic Command with a loader on hire to cart hay. It was a nice thing when it worked, but the one we had has major gearbox issues. It keeps faulting and putting itself into neutral. We sent it back as it became undriveable. The fitter changed various solenoids and sensors, but we suspect valve body damage.
Don't know why they don't put a shuttle control on the loader joystick. That way you would never have to take your other hand off the wheel. The company i work for has a Volvo wheel loader with that system and it is really handy!
Edit: I wrote this before you mentioned it yourself, but yes i agree!

George a great test of T5 , it's a good all rounder for a tractor 🚜 👍 . Great video.
I'm totally won over by the T5. When I first heard Farmer P (I see he's already posted a comment) was getting one on demo I kinda thought, 'meh' , too small, bah, bah...but then I saw it in action and how smooth the gearbox and loader were I changed my mind. Looks like a cracking wee tractor.
I used to drive an old lorry with no syncromesh gears and had to double declutch and rev up to change gears.
Good all round review on the T5 George 👍 she does seem to be a bit of a pocket rocket 🚀💪👍
Another day in paradise. The love of your new blue bestie is quite evident but what about you old friend which is also blue. Good to see Dave is still gainfully employed.
Much easier way George, bore 2 holes with mag drill in bottom beam and weld in a couple conus 2 bushes and put the top times in the bottom beam for square bales. 4 tines in the middle won't rip out I carry 3 big square bales easily.
Never seen anyone get so excited about a tractor.

Great video again George and watched Luke’s unboxing as well that would of been me 40 years ago loved New Hollands and farming.
Then chose a career path away from what I loved as a kid a bad mistake.

Hey George, did the t5 FarmerP tested (with a big screen) not have that forward/reverse button on the loader joystick? Not sure, but I thought he talked with the salesman about it...
Modern gearboxes are unbelievable. We thought we were wasted with dual power on a Roadless 98 back in the early eighties....
Was that a JWB Fastrac and baler baling the squares for you? How is the old legend keeping, haven't seen anything from himself or Jason in quite some time. :)
Looks like they have massively improved the t5 compared to our m1. Be interesting to see for my self what the ride is like, our lane is shocking and can only do about 25k without hitting the roof (flat out in the trac at 45k though🤣)
Oh and have a look at the bales spikes you can get, I hadn’t realised how many sides there are, one might just slip into the big bushing

We have the same transmission since 2018 on a 6145 and it did over 5000 hrs loader and trimmer work trouble free . But they do give trouble if driven by drivers too lazy to drive them in manual with heavy loads

Good video George, we had the same tractor but a T6 on demo was ok have you tried to put the 3rd spool in float position yet with the door in the way bit of a bad design fault 🤷♂️🙄😂😂
i see farmwer p was trying a t5 on demo compared to other tractors he tried im impressed with the t5

Im no farmer but when i saw that bale grabber i thought then the spikes look the wrong way round, long should be at the bottom....
The 2 smaller spikes that you take off to replace with longer ones could be put in the middle possibly to add more stability, and extend the 2 uprights and you could carry 3 bales ?

I Watched A Guy Sorting Out The Pins In The Bail Handler He Cut All Of Them Off Then Welded The Bigger Points Half Way Down In The Middle And The 2 Smaller Points In The Top It Worked A Treat. You Must Know Someone George That Could Do That.
never noticed before, how come you point the spikes down when stabbing the bale? does it just mean a better grab on the bale?
Yes, sort of, when you enter the bale and crowd back it will always pull through slightly, so if your tines are pointing down when you go in it'll lift up square on the spike 👍

@@FarmerP It seems the farm has a historical relationship w/ NH. If it were solely up to george, the equipment badge might read JCB, even though there is no sub 200 hp model.

Oooh, actually I've not got a clue Ben🙈 our little T4 95 can cope with an 800kg silage bale quite easily without weight, so I would guess this loader could handle a couple of tonne 👍

Whatever you do don’t take the loader of they are a pain to get back on you will need a ratchet strap and a sledgehammer it is a stoll painted blue and they are pigs to get on and off
They are one of the quickest on the market to remove from our experience.Quicke is the slowest and still quick enough. I saw a guy put on one so quick out of my view I was sure he had actually came back on a different tractor

Is that tractor fit to lift a bale of silage with no weight on the back George? Personally if I was buying one it would be red out of st Valentin due to the shoddy workmanship on the assembly line in Basildon!! It's amazing how little stupid problems the red ones have compared to the blue
