Newbie here, what’s the reasoning for not taping all the way around the blade of the stick? This guy only taped forehand side of the blade. I know it can be based on preference, but wondering if there’s any other reason why someone would tape their stick like that?
its a little different in ball hockey because its not a cylindrical puck but a ball so the contact on the blade only happens where you see his tape. also having tape wrap around the blade and be on the bottom makes it stick to the floor more so it produces more friction and drag while running
On the dek, the tape creates a ton of friction with the plastic. So if you want grip on the ball, but not slow your blade down with friction, you gotta tape it like that.
