CFCF Clued Out

Mike Silver (otherwise known as CFCF) is best known as a Montreal based DJ/producer. That said, he's got serious chops on guitar, keys, drums, and pretty much any instrument you'll find in a recording studio. And the dude can sing too. All that said, you can understand why he seemed like a natural fit for the Live From Breakglass 'singles' series. We definitely had a lot of fun putting this tune together. We EQ'd and compressed the live drums till they sounded like they were sampled right off a 70s record, and then Mike had this awesome idea to stick little gaps between the loops so that they sound even a touch more sampled. Add a couple vintage synth lines a washed out guitar and finally a couple theramin lines, and voila.

Nice production. Everything blends in this track. All true of CFCF. Heard him at Rhye's concert last month @ Metropolis. He's very talented. Thanks for sharing!
