Kefir... Sorry, I do these videos as a tool for folks to work on their own bikes.. If you were someone who was local to me and needed help doing it.. Absolutely I would gladly lend a helping hand but you would be doing the work. I personally still refer to my videos from time to time too when I have to do some tuning.
@Stefan.... I found when I was arranging the shim stack below the dampener piston it didn't seem to have much affect on the rebound dampening.... But changing the oil viscosity to 2.5wt and using a smaller diameter shim closest to the dampener piston in low compression stack had the biggest effect...
Thanks for this fast reply. Did you remove any of the shims then? Or did you just change the order, so that a smaller one is closer to the dampener piston?
Thanks for sharing. These are great videos for the beginner. The 15w50 is expensive. I've heard of people using slickhoney instead. Not sure how they use it but it's an alternative to float fluid.
Great video, very useful. I may do the same to my Deluxe shock as it is really harsh over sharp roots (even just small ones), it is already "L" compression but I will try removing a compression shim. It is like there is no shock it just goes right through to the saddle even in full open mode. The shock works perfectly otherwise and sag is right. The fork glides right over them... Did you find you had the same issue with your shock? Was one shim enough? Hopefully it will not affect my trail mode switch too much...
For me it was a combination of changing viscosity oil and changing/removing shims to control how much “pack” I got over sharp edge hits... but you do compromise in other parts of the suspension stroke
Hey, great videos! My rebound is way to slow, since I'm very light and still have an M Rebound tune. Which shims did you remove? Or do you have any suggestion on which shim(s) I should remove? Thanks :)
Hi, thanks for the video, very helpful. One question, when installing the IFP into the body, did you measure from the center of the IFP or from the edge?
Hello, Thanks for the video. Question, how do you know what PSI to use for an individuals body weight? Rock Shox has the digram on the front forks but not for the rear. Or does it not matter for the rear? Thanks
Hi mate, I have a damper that seemingly has no damping or air pressure down to the 10% sag marking. However after that it is fine, everything works as it should. It sits at the normal height without any weight but as you apply pressure to the suspension it just drops to 10% and then the spring and damping is normal. Sorry to repeat myself but I want to be sure it is understood. Can you offer any advice?
Good day . Excellent video tutorial. I have only one doubt I lost the first washer, the small one together the nut. It affects its correct function or I can leave it like this. Thank you very much for answering.
The damper works well, as it is hard as a stone on the pavement, but as soon as it detects bumps, the inertia valve opens the oil passage and dampens. Before it did not work, and I do not know that it could change with the loss of the first washer. regards
Hey. please tell me, at what depth do you need to lower the piston of the ifp camera? I didn’t see the testimony of the caliper on the video! thanks for the answer. 67mm? what pressure do i need to pump into ipf camera?
hi greetings , i have a question, When you put the bomb in the lower part and inflate, how separate the bomb from the pivot ?, with the adapter or first the bomb and after the adapter
Hi, Thanks for very informative and useful video it helped me a lot. But my shock lost some air while removing red adapter from the negative IFP chamber. So it lost some pressure, how to avoid this? BTW I did everything as SRAM manual says - remove adapter together with the pump. My adapter is brand new original. Thanks
Thank you, I did that also. It seems the air is going out from the pump not the shock chamber while removing. My shock performs as it did before servicing, if it leaked the air it would be different.
It not suprised me, that you did not show us when you removed ifp adapter from damperbody. It's trickiest part in hole damper service. How many times you have to do it before you manage to do it correctly?
Actually I remove the IFP on part 1 of video.. here is the link... I have removed it several times testing out different shim stack configuration.. here is the link to other video... m.th-cam.com/video/J_Kpg6oUSFc/w-d-xo.html

Здравствуйте.Очень интересное видео.На что влияет данное преобразование?Возможно применить это преобразование к моей модели rock shox monarch RT3?
great videos P1 & P2! very clear and easy to follow.
thanks also for explaining what each part does as you go, nice.
you helped me a lot.

Maxima 15w50 1L on ebay £16,. 49
What is the name of the red piece connected to the air compressor?

@Stefan... I removed one from the high compression stack..
@TheShecks7... I don't go by psi... I go by sag %... I typically run 30% sag.

Center or edge ?
Link to RS IFP depth chart? Great couple of vids, thanks for sharing.

I am only guessing.... But you may not have enough pressure in the dampener body... Try going up in pressure thru the IFP port
@Forsaken...did it just come out the shrader valve.... It just maybe some of the float fluid in the air sleeve..
Great vid mate clear and easy to follow

I think there will be some effect to your suspension... But give it a shot...the tune may work for you.... Let us know how it goes..

For this particular shock 67.2mm

With the adapter
How much ml of shock fluid was needed to fill that cylinder? 120ml or less?
I honestly did not measure how much I put in... I just set my IFP then filled to the top..
Nice job bro. Thanks again. 🤙🤠🙋

I sometimes will add a extra 10psi if I lose some of the pressr..
Pressure

Would it matter if I accidentally got the IFP a few mm off where it should be
awesome video dude thank you
Excellent vid many thanks mate.
Did the shock feel better after this ?
Yes... I notice there wasn’t as much “pack” on sharp hits... a lot more compliant. But I lost some firmness... so a bit of a trade off
nice video, very Well explainnnn ! can U say mi (link) where can i get this " red Adaptator pump", for the Bottompart... thanks

How the heck to remove the air pump without the air escaping!?!?!
What kind of plug did you use for the bottom air valve ? where can i buy it ?
Thanks !
It is a shrader valve that comes with the rebuild kit... But you can get your local bike shop to order the specific shrader valve for the IFP port.
THANKS BRO !
What pressure to pump into the negative? thanks in advance
250psi
that is not the negative chamber.
The negative chamber automatically fills when you pump up the positive chamber. He put 250psi in the other side of the IFP.

Very useful tutorial, thx
Сколько качать в негативную камеру?
Thank you
I just removed the air from my shock and all the oil just came out of it lucky it's my old bike
I lost the white Ball!! Help me
I can't manage to repump the negative chamber
Make sure the valve core did not get damaged... also make sure the adapter for your pump is screwed all the way in..

Podrías hacerlo en Español, tendrías más suscriptores
Boleh minta susunan ring yg di dlm
ml oil ?
It depends on where you set your IFP... but I just top it off to the top..
Urutan ring yg di dalam ada besar ada kecil ada tipis ada tebal mohon minta ft urutanya0
Oil Fox
You can use Fox oil... I just used what my local bike shop had..
