I love Slang ,Euphoria,X.Yeah!,Def Leppard, these albums are so underrated and don't get the recognition that they deserve for being such amazing albums.
I love the jersey and hat dude!! I don't have a ranking for Def Leppard albums yet, because I'm listening to their albums in chronological order. I will post my ranking when I'm done listening to their catalog.
1 hysteria 2 pryomaina 3 adrenlinlize 4 high n dry 5 on thru the night 6 def Leppard 7 sparkle lounge 8 euphoria 9 slang 10 diamond star halos 11 x Like all Leppard albums you did a great ranking
Great to see you back Jordan! I love "top" lists and ranking lists. I hope you continue to do some more of them. Although I've never really dove much into Def Leppard's catalog especially post-Hysteria I've always enjoyed the hits. And I've always thought that Joe Elliot has one of the best/top Rock voices. Bringin' On The Heartbreak is my favorite song from them. It's pretty much perfect with lots of emotion. I'm excited to see your vinyl make it to the basement. Maybe a room tour once that happens? Room tour videos tend to do pretty well, just sayin'! Take care. -Bill
Hey man. Thank you! It's going to be a bit for the new music room to be done. I am bringing my LP120 turntable and some bookshelf speakers down there but my Rega table is staying upstairs. I'll need some new speakers up there, as well. It's always something. Leppard isn't one of my faves, either. Just wanted to try an easy one first. I'm going to get into some of the tougher ones soon. It's hard to do - you really have to listen to everything in album form before you can do the ranking. Anyways - thanks for tuning in!!!!
my def leppard album ranked: 1 - on through the night 2 - high n dry 3 - pyromania 4 - adrenalize 5 - euphoria 6 - hysteria 7 - diamond star halos 8 - def leppard 9 - songs from the sparkle lounge
1.High n Dry 2.Pyromania 3.Hysteria 4.Adrenalize 5.On Through the Night 6.Retro Active I never really got into the rest after 1993, the songs from Slang onward put me off and they never were never able to get that signature back after Steve died. Still my favorite band of all time however as I still listen to those 6 albums constantly, 4 of which are on original LP pressings and the other 2 (Adrenalize, Retro Active) through streaming.
I completely agree. I haven’t really bothered or had any interest to listen to any of the albums after Retro Active. Those first 6 albums were still good
I'm a new Def Leppard fan myself I grew up in the 80s but never got into them for different reasons, I always passed them off as "just another hair band" but I recently saw them live and I was blown away, I watched their Viva Hysteria concert. I have to say as a new Def Leppard fan that album is amazing! Maybe older fans don't appreciate it but I thought it was awesome. I've listened to their older stuff and Pyromania and I have to say it's not as good for me. Pyromania is harder and a bit more of a banger but overall it's just not as solid I don't get why people think it's a better album. Hysteria has so much more substance in my opinion there's a reason why that album sold so well. Anyways just my opinion, there's not one bad song on Hysteria not even one. They're all hits
Regarding the High n Dry album cover, from what I understand it was originally a cover made for Pink Floyd that was rejected. Pretty cool eh. Dig the list tho I always loved slang from the get-go. Totally agree about X. It’s cringe city to me. I just recently got really got into Sparkle Lounge. My top album rotates from Hysteria, to Adrenalize to High n Dry depending on the day lol
Would have Slang a little higher. Adrenalize is their most underrated, maybe not their best but probably close to my personal favourite. The debut is good but a little rough around the edges, better than Hysteria? No way! I guess it’s not cool to have Hysteria at one but for me it’s still the best, a classic, every song sounds like a single.
You talked me into listening to the self titled album. High N Dry and Pyromania are near perfect albums. I agree with your take on On Through the Night. I would put it before Hysteria too. I have Slang and Euphoria, but haven't listened to them in a long time. Wasn't impressed with Sparkle Lounge. Vault would have been great if they didn't have the ballads and versions of those ballads.
I'm with you on High N Dry. Best album they ever did. 1) High N Dry 2) Pryomania 3) Hysteria 4) On Through the Night 5) Adrenalize 6) Retroactive 7) Euphoria 8) Slang 9) Def Leppard 10) Sparkle 11) X
I actually loved X and it was something a little different. I certainly don't think it was weak - just different. Slang is in the same boat but not a style I enjoy.
My top 10 would be 10) X 9) Sparkle Lounge 8) Retro Active 7) Def Leppard 6) Hysteria (here on out is in my opinion masterpieces) 5) Euphoria 4) Adrenalize 3) Pyromania 2) On Through The Night 1) High n Dry
They really did have their heyday back then....but it's still pretty cool that they are still a going band and releasing new music and touring all these years later!
I like your list and I respect you for not putting 'Hysteria' as number one. What's sad is that typical fans only know Def Leppard for that album when they are so much more than that. I can't give you my top ten yet because I haven't listened to the self-titled one, 'Euphoria,' and 'Slang' in a while. 'Songs From the Sparkle Lounge' would be my least favorite though. But I will place my top five down below. 1) Adrenalize 2) Pyromania 3) High 'n' Dry 4) X (it takes me back to my childhood of listening to pop music growing up) 5) Hysteria (only cause it gets overplayed a lot!) If I were to include 'Retro Active,' it would go above 'X.' Glad we have different preferences, but still like the same band.
@@JawdysBasement Thanks so much for commenting back. Yes X is absolutely a pop album, another musical transition for the band. That's why the album got so much hate.
so on either a weekly, monthly or 2 months which Def Leppard albums do you put on the most ? see your rankings but that doesn't say which album you play the most it says which albums you think has the better music? so for example say Slang, , self titled, Euphoria, Andrenalize , Sparkle lounge, how often do you put those albums on? from the older albums how often do you put them on?
Very valid point, Mark!! One that is debatable with all of these lists. In this case, High n Dry is definitely my most played Leppard album....AND has the best music in my opinion.

Best collection of songs they put out was Retro Active
Rock on!! 🎸 🤘 ❤️
Hey, bro! I would just like to say after having seen this video, I think you and my good friend Andres Herrera MJ should talk some!
Not a bad idea!

Very similar! They've made some amazing hard rock albums and they are still pumping out music, which is a good thing!!! Thanks for watching!
Our top fives are the same ! But i realy don't care for any of the other albums !
They really did have their heyday back then....but it's still pretty cool that they are still a going band and releasing new music and touring all these years later!
@@JawdysBasement yes, I just wish they would’ve used Vivian Campbell as a return to a more metal style.
Slang was ok I was tired of too many ballads def leppard did but I am more big with on through the night and high n dry
Sorry for me only I have only three favorites albums: Pyromania, On through the night and high n' dry

I love seeing everyone's rankings! The word that stuck out for me on your X selection was "pop"...perfectly put! It's a pop album.

Oh I missed your other question, Mark. Sorry! I don’t play those other ones that much at all anymore. Maybe once a year or two.
Nothing after 93 for me. I tried slang and it ruined the band for me. I would definately view retro active as a full length album
Everything up to and including pyromania rocks
Everything after pyromania is utter rubbish
Slang was awful I'm sorry.adrenalize prob 4th best
