- Today I visit the town of Aurora Oregon. The entire town is loaded with antiques! My husband and I search for antique Victorian lighting for our home and other treasures along the way. But these vintage nightie sets are my favorite! My mom scored them at a yard sale for only $2 each!

Am I the only person who didn't know Pete was a fireman? I was Stunned when she said that!
I did not know either!!
She mentioned it a few times because he was out for days on end when the wildfires last year (or maybe 2019) were close to their home. She went outside with the camera & there was smoke and ash on their patio! It was really scary to know Pete was out in that, I felt so bad for Selena 🥺. Thank God he was safe, I think all of her Angel babies watch over him, lol! Have a wonderful & Blessed weekend! 🤗💜🙏🏻

@19:42 when i go shopping in shops like these, & the owner is kind & helpful, i always buy something, even if its a small piece & if i cant find anything for myself, i gift it to someone. to a host at a dinner party, my neighbor, etc...my mum taught me that to appreciate the kindness & help the small business owner.
My mom would wear those nightgowns in the seventies. She would buy me smaller ones. I would be a big hit at sleepovers, I just thought everyone wore them. I was in early years of highschool. You brought back good memories. The bloomer ones were called baby dolls. My mom was beautiful and very stylish even in bed, she was the best and I was blessed to have her as an example of what a lady should be. Thanks Mom. 🙏🥰

The short nightgown was called a baby dolls pj back in the late 60 and early 70's
LOL I used to have one in pink when I was a teen. My favorite pair of pj's I've ever owned.😊
That lucite clutch you should have bought. The avents now you attend will ask for see thru purses. I loved that clutch.

Oh my gosh- that older shop owner with his red hat was adorable! I have always said that our elderly generation is our nation's national treasure! They have lived so much history & ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated with talking to them & listening to their stories... so much knowledge... Thank you for taking us along, Selena (& Pete)- your time is recognized & appreciated! xo Edit- that beaded purse with the flowers at the end was EVERYTHING, as were the nightgowns:)

I used to wear my Grandma's night gowns, slips and house dusters. I have a few even now. They were so fun and unique at that time. No one I worked or went to college with dressed like me. I worked in a law firm pt and had a silk olive green dress right out of madmen. This was before the show was on TV. I'd buy at estate sale, and Salvation Army. I loved my style back in the day. My dream was to sell vintage clothing. Now my nephew is really into it and did great at his first pop-up. I hope you find your hardware pieces at a great price!

I still have lots of beautiful nightgowns from the 1970s packed away in my garage. You have inspired me to get them out, wash them, and wear them again. Many are from my honeymoon. My husband worked in the cotton industry and wanted me to wear 100% cotton so that is why they were packed away.
I wish I could still wear my nightgowns from the 70’s! Good for you!

My German side table had tiles in it. They broke on the trip stateside. My boyfriend repaired it but cutting vintage patterned glass to fit the top. I just love it. He combined two cultures into one.

My mom had the red baby-doll with the matching bloomers, in the 1950’s-60’s. And, every color version of them. I remember she’d put on her dusting powder with the big puff after her bath, and smell so beautiful when she tucked me in at night. Awww, sweet memories of my mama.

I heard you mention your husband is a firefighter. I'm married to a retired firefighter. He worked in our area 32 years. He's been retired for 26 years. I love that we've got that incommon. Love antiquing. Great that your husband likes to go with you shopping. Love the night gowns your mom bought you. I have a few that I wear. I actually sold them in my booth as well.

I love the vintage nightgowns and their fancy names: negligee, & peignoir sets! Been collecting and wearing forever. Too cold in Nebraska to wear them now, but you know….vintage style flannel nightgowns & pajamas to the rescue

My late mom had some lovely negligees, some with beautiful matching robes. I always thought she looked like a movie star with her blonde hair and incredible figure......like Marilyn Monroe. :)

I wear vintage nightgowns! I must have 30 or so. My husband and I bought a 1910, 5000 sq foot home in Savannah, Ga. Where I would walk down the stairs in a beautiful nightgown and high hill slippers with a puff ball or feather ball on the toe. We were newlyweds at the time (42 and 53). I’ll have to send some photos to you. I preferred the long gowns). You would love them. Love your show, and your mom. Is a trip!

The tiny forks are Seafood forks for use with mussels & other shell fish.
Don’t forget yummy stone crab. My Mom has them in her sterling silver case and we always use them during the holidays with fresh ice cold shrimp 🍤.

I didn’t know Pete was a fireman either! It is fun to watch h the difference in Selena when she is shopping with Pete verses when she shops with her mom. I really am surprised he shops with her at all! My men don’t have the patience for antique shopping .
