I live in a Victorian Cottage style home and it's been fun for my husband and I to update each room while still keeping the charm of a historical building. Most items featured in this video were purchased second hand from thrift stores, goodwill, ebay, depop and Facebook!
Cottage gardens are quaint and colorful. This patio and outdoor space has been a lot of work, but well worth the beautiful reward.
I have been so inspired by the beautiful chateau related channels I watch on TH-cam, like Chateau Diaries, Dreaming of a Chateau, Doing It Ourselves etc that I decided to give our guest room a dreamy and elegant makeover! Nearly everything I decorate with is a thrift store, garage sale, or auction find. My husband and I live in a Folk Cottage Style Victorian home and I love looking for unique antiques to compliment our historical home.

After the lilac flowers dry up you can cut the bush back and they bloom thicker, most only bloom every 2 years.

Both gardens are gorgeous but I have to say that your moms place is right up my alley. Her mature trees feed my soul as a country girl. Her willows are screaming for some statues to be placed under! We have one volunteer willow and as soon as it got some size on it, I put a Hebe fountain under it and it is my favorite spot in our 4 acre garden. Thank you for the tours!!!
