Never gets old, that wonderful "melt in your mouth" classic 90s ingredient, right now I am somewhere in another place and time with some of those who not with us anymore. Can't thank you guys enough for all the great music you are leaving with us. Music that will stand the test of time, people will jamming to this long after we are gone. The 90's was the greatest decade of all time for music.
On whatever weekend it was that the lead singer of Filter checked into rehab back in the 1990s, I had gone to the Big Spring Jam specifically to see Filter. But, well, they didn't exist and the Gin Blossoms were the next band up so they started playing early and played a really long set. One of the best concerts I've ever been to, and that includes seeing Pink Floyd, Rush, and Paul Simon. Gonna have to throw them into some of my Spotify lists. Big thumbs up.
Just realized this song is 30 years old this year. I was 3 or 4 when this song came out. Don't remember hearing it until probably 98 or 99 but I haven't stopped listening since. 90s music still holds up. Last great decade in my opinion.
A trip down memory lane. Remembering the heartbreaks as young folks ❤ Classic Gin Blossoms A trip down memory lane. Remembering the heartbreaks as young folks ❤
Not the same as the original but I get it. They've played this song forever. I like the the fact that this song remembers their roots when they just needed a play to spend the night somewhere - they really are talented.
thought this was a cover until i heard the guitar He's still alive!?!? Classic Gin Blossoms The 90's was a weird decade but man I miss it for these gems. The 90's was a weird decade but man I miss it for these gems.
guitar is fine on it, the drums are all fucked up and all over the place, the drummer is at the wrong gig. he's playing like double time kick drums on the chill parts and the build up is left flat. The drummer is the reason the views are shit on this.
A trip down memory lane. Remembering the heartbreaks as young folks ❤ Nicely done! Sadly, I won't get to see them on this tour. A trip down memory lane. Remembering the heartbreaks as young folks ❤ Classic Gin Blossoms
Classic Gin Blossoms He's still alive!?!? Guy was a great songwriter. Rip hopkins Of course they sound just the same as they did in the 90s Love this song!!!!
I was wondering the same thing. How could they not be? They definitely still sound pretty tight. It’s a shame that Doug who wrote a lot of the material was kicked from the band for excessive drinking, (kind of ironic considering the name of the band) just as the album started to climb the charts, only to then take a 38 to his own face not long after.
I wonder if Robin Wilson feels like a fraud and a tool playing this song considering it's 100% Doug Hopkins' song and they essentially traded his life for 15 minutes of fame.
For the thousands of times they've performed this song, they can still bring juice to it.
I thought the exact same thing!
Of course they sound just the same as they did in the 90s
Whoa, they sound really good. Singer's voice has held up really well.
He sings all the time. Of course! He isn't Stevie Nick's. Obviously, not a fan.
The Matrix
Shit, that was the first thing I said. He still has his voice after all these years.
The tone of his voice is still golden
@@michelefischetti2508 he’s covered in tattoos now, you can’t see them under his track suit

When I was a kid, my dad and I would go for convertible cruises, and this was always one of his favorite songs to play.

Fer sure! The thread of authenticity produced from this era’s music resonates with a vague sense of familiarity. Feel you guys!
