Taeil's voice in the Rearranged Ver is seriously on another level.
It could take ages for Sungchan and Shotaro to be put in a unit. Kun was announced as a member of NCT right at the beginning when they debuted (he sang in the Chinese version of the song Without You) and he was in NCT 2018, but he wasn't added to a fixed unit until WayV. So we'll probably see Sungchan and Shotaro here and there for a while until they're added to a fixed unit. Who knows though they could be added to a unit sooner.
Maybe they;ll be a duo NCT U unit in NCT 2021 or something cuz when Ten was a highly anticipated and popular member with no fixed unit, he was put in a duo unit with Taeyong so...
When Taeil hit his high note differently from the og version I lit rally lost my mind. It was stunning, I love his vocals so much😭😭😭
At least half of NCT have been officially in SM Rookies since 2013, and many of them have started training much earlier than that. The core 5 of Dream literally started out as children, which is why the hyung line will forever be protective of them. Even newbie Sungchan isn't really a newbie, since he has been in training as early as 2015 and trained with Jungwoo, Kun, Lucas, Hendery, and Yangyang.
It's why the concept of having theoretically unlimited number of members isn't a hindrance to them because the core group is so strongly bonded through years of growing up together.
Honestly, I need a six-hour documentary film just for the predebut nct, tho I've known them since the day SM released smrookies' profiles on Facebook in 2013. Oh my... I'm old 😞
Fun fact: Mark, haechan, jeno, jaemin, and jisung used to be "little TVXQ". You're right, the boy in red cap was mark. And the one you're not sure was haechan. Sm rookies used to perform cover dances in SMtown concerts. They also held their own concerts called smrookies show.

I will never not get emotional everytime I watch the rearranged version mv…I used to cry everytime I watched it lol especially since ncity was going through a tough time then. I love this group so much and I’ve been with them for most of their journey and I respect the bonds and accomplishments they’ve made so much. You’re right Dream were literally children that grew up together in this group. I’m so proud of how far all of them came and what they’re all gonna do in the future.
That was Sungchan that you didn’t recognize in the beginning. Sungchan and Shotaro are definitely going to be put in a unit, the only question is when and unfortunately there’s been no updates or even rumors. I was hoping they’d do it before their year anniversary in NCT, but it’s already passed :( this isn’t unusual though so there’s no guarantee when we’ll get them in a unit because Ten debuted in NCT U in 2016, but didn’t debut in WayV until 2019 so we can only guess when Sungtaro will get their chance. Luckily they’re not COMPLETELY absent, Sungchan is an MC, Shotaro has a couple of dance covers out and they’ve had vlogs on the NCT channel, but I know they miss performing and I hope they can do it as soon as possible.
And yeah SM is robbing us by not giving us the rearranged version for download, it’s my favorite version. Idk if you’ve seen the live performance of this during MAMA 2020, but I hope you check out NCT’s full MAMA 2020 set, it was AMAZING. Thank you for the reaction! Can’t wait for more NCT!
The rearranged version just…..i’ve been following them since smrookies so it was pretty emotional🥺 i can’t believe they were so tiny! And that’s kinda the thing about the sibling vibes btween alot of the sm artists, many of them trained tgt since they were sooooo young, they literally see each other more than they see their own family wow
I love this song so much! The vocals are 👏👏👏👏👏 Seriously NCT has some of the best vocalist in kpop in my opinion!

In their MAMA performance they had all the other foreign members pop up towards the end of the rearranged version to help sing and good lord.... I nearly sobbed to death! They really know how to blow us away with their talent. But also pull the hell out of our heart strings. No one does it like NCT.

There’s no official announcement in regards to Shotaro and Sungchan being in a permanent unit yet but that is usually how it goes. Maybe they haven’t figure that part out yet.
the thing about NCT is that when a new member debuts, it can be ages before they’re put in a new permanent unit. it’s what happened with Kun. he literally debuted in 2016 with the Chinese version of Without You, he’s an OG member of the debut line. but he had to wait until 2019 for WayV to debut. he did participate in NCT 2018 as well though. so for old NCTzens like me, this is not surprising. unfortunately not everyone has the same luck as Jungwoo and Lucas who debuted in NCT 2018 project and was immediately put into their respective unit, only a few months after. i believe Sungchan and Shotaro will be debuted in new unit/s probably after their NCT 2021 project. poor baby Kun had it worst but to be honest, if you know about the whole political situation between Korea and China that started heating up right around those years, you’ll understand why SM had to push back the Chinese unit’s debut for years.
I can't watch this video without crying. Watching how hard the guys worked when they were young to get to where they are today is awesome.
I can never bring myself to watch the rearrange version again coz I cry everytime I do. Even watching this reaction was so hard for me coz I was holding back tears😭
it’s really something special that they all got to literally grow up together, yes a lot of groups know each other from young ages but they were YOUNG young. cried like a baby when the rearranged version first came out…
SM hasn’t said anything about debuting sungtaro in an actual unit, and nothing about nct 2021. i think they have no idea what they’re doing and are in way over their heads but what can you do 👎 typical SM
At 04:58 it is Sungchan the new member, he is currently an Inkigayo mc! I love the rearranged version of From Home and I always cry with this MV!

I definitely get the feeling you are talking about. And not to mention the video for the rearranged version makes me so emotional cuz I love this group so much and seeing the journey they went on just makes me emotional but in a good way.

Sungchan and Shotaro will be in a unit soon but not yet. Ten and Kun waited 3 years++ to be in a fixed unit. So there should be no rush.
This rearranged video really shows how long they've all known each other and that they really are a family. They've all been through a lot together! I wish I knew what was going on with Sungchan and Shotaro (Sungchan is a fave!) They're both so talented, we need to see more of them!
Sungchan and Shotaro will debut in a unit but since they usually have at least 7 members in a unit, and there's no other unitless members at the moment I think we'll have to wait a bit longer. My suspicion is that they'll debut another member or two with NCT 2021, and then later those members, Sungtaro, and some more newbies will debut as a unit. So I guess 2022 for their unit.
In the meantime, they do show up in NCT youtube content. Shotaro did a rooftop garden with Taeyong, Sungtaro have done some vlogs together, Shotaro has a behind the scenes from a photoshoot he did, etc. And as others mentioned Sungchan has been doing mc duties

This is why I love nct in a whole different way. They literally grew up together and idk if I'm just biased but the original 18 neos are just so special especially when you've stanned them since they were in smrookies. Jisung and Jaehyun will always be THE nct maknaes no matter what
No clue what is going on with Sungchan and Shotaro SM hasn't said anything about what is happening with them and its honestly so frustrating.
As someone who ults Shotaro, regarding Shotaro's and Sungchan's situation, we still don't know anything but it could happen sooner than we think. It' been a year since they were introduced as NCT members and they still don't have a fixed unit. It could take ages, like what happened with Kun or Ten, or it could happen sooner.
Now, Shotaro is definitely preparing something, because him and Jaemin spoiled this information one month ago on a video. What most of us believe is that they will comeback before 2021 ends: either with NCT2021 or a fixed unit. Most likely with NCT2021 because then they could introduce new members and add them into the new fixed unit with Shotaro and Sungchan. And we know they will add new members soon because Shotaro did a TikTok like 3 months ago with an unknown guy, pretty sure it's a new member. So, we will see them soon but we don't know how.
Shotaro and Sungchan are waiting for the unit they will be debuting. Shotaro had some videos on the NCT youtube also a modeling job. Sungchan has some videos too and he replaced Jaehyun for Inkigayo's MC.
i can relate with how you feel when hearing their voices harmonize together. we see the beautiful videos and the flawless performances but behind those scenes are years of hard work and sacrifices of these young boys and i acknowledge that with a bittersweet feeling in my heart, too. i just love them so much.

9:02 This happened to other nct members aswell, they debut but since they don't have a fixed unit they are not part of comebacks and stuff!! I think the ones that suffered the most were Kun and Ten, they both debuted since 2016 but WayV debuted until 2019 so they were pretty much in SM's basement, it's very upsetting and sad but theres nothing we can do):

The segments from concerts, where members are crying are especially emotional cause its all from their hometowns. Like Johnny in Chicago, Mark in Vancouver and Yuta in Osaka, in China, Thailand n on. And they couldn't leave korea and visit homes abroad for very long.

SM hasn't said about putting Sungchan and Shotaro in a unit. But I think, for sure, if there will be NCT Japan, Shotaro would debut in that unit. Sungchan, we still don't know, but I hope SM will put him in a unit anytime soon.

Ten debuted in 2016 but SM put him a unit in 2019... sooo no one knows what will happen with sungchan and shotaro :( but i really want to see them more, at least we'll see them in NCT 2021 project
Same thing happened with Kun. At least Ten got an "official" debut, with MV and live stages on music shows during 7th Sense and an NCT U with Taeyong in 2018.
It always breaks my heart that during NCT 2018 in Weekly Idol , Kun was only able to participate dancing in Black On Black.

The new members have other commitments they have to finish out. Also, in the next few years several of the members will have military duties. NCT will have a end of the year project NCT 2021. The 2 new members will be on that. Don’t worry you will see them soon
Yeah, Taeil is a 94er and that means his military enlistment can come as early as next year. Almost all of the 92 and 93 male idols have enlisted already.

well shotaro is almost certainly gonna join the japanese unit once it happens, not sure about sungchan, i feel like 127 is kind of the only place he can go? or maybe the japanese unit as well but he's not japanese as far as we know.. idk we'll see but it can take a while until members get added into fixed units. kun and ten both debuted with nct u in 2016 and only joined wayv in 2019
well yuta isn't korean and ten isn't chinese so maybe he's learning japanese? i do remember that he said he was but i don't know if it's because he is joining the japanese unit 🤷♀️
@@nhummm ten's family is (ethnically) chinese tho i think. yuta is the only one, and idk if that rute fits for him bc 127 has never been treated as The Korean Unit..
love the reaction. Even for us long-term fans the journey of NCT has really been a wholesome experience, especially with NCT Dream and the whole graduation thing back them. Also, it is still not clear as to what unit Sunchan and Shotaro will be in. We speculate that it is either going to be a new unit or they'll join one of the existing units (Most likely NCT Dream because they share the same dorm as well as the age suits it)

Word around the campfire is that a Japanese unit is coming, I would not be surprised if Shotaro (maybe Sungchan) are in that. I'd even speculate Yuta being in the unit to reaaaaally sell it since he has an established fan base in Japan and abroad. (whatever gets that guy more lines I'm for, damnit!).
I mean they did that with Ten, Lucas and Kun... debuted them and then had them on the bench until WayV was ready, as well as replacing WinWin in 127 so they could free him up for WayV. It's actually pretty smart of SM if you think about it... introduce them, czennies fall in love and adopt them, then when they have a new unit it's instantly familiar because you already know some of the members.
I also totally thought there was a chance they were going to replace Mark and Haechan with Shotaro and Sungchan in Dream, at first... but it didn't happen, and I think NCTzens would riot if they mess with Mark again 😄 ... not to mention both new guys are rappers, so not replacing Haechan's vocals in Dream wouldn't make sense.
Things like this is why I relate kpop to sports. 😄 It feels like trading players in baseball.
