    Cleaner than pasteurised.
    And the government still can’t admit that raw milk is better for human consumption.

    We have had raw milk for years from different suppliers. One herd had TB and so had to discontinue for a good while; another packed it badly and the bottles were often crushed against each other and one had come open in transit and made an awful mess. It was put down to a new packer but we weren't compensated even though l showed the evidence.
    Then we found Fen Farm and have been happy customers ever since. It was so good to watch this going through the stages from cow to bottle. ❤

    Fen Farm Dairy is one of my favourite places ever. Not only is the milk GORGEOUS, but so is everything else that is sold here. I never liked milk until I tried it from here. It's absolutely yummy. I'm there every week, sometimes more than once a week. Love it! Many thanks for all your hard work and careful attention to detail. Your milk is amazing!

    I ordered raw milk from this place, and had it delivered all the way to Liverpool in the other end of the country. I was surprised and pleased that they even agreed to deliver it in the first place, though I was even more impressed when it arrived in immaculate condition. Four well-designed bottles in a securely wrapped cardboard box nestled in a bed of straw, accompanied by some sort of freezing pack to keep them chilled. It is clear that they care deeply about their product and the delivery process over long distances. Upon tasting it I could immediately discern the difference in quality compared to the slop you get out of the supermarket. Needless to say I will be ordering more, I just hope it's not too much of an inconvenience for these good folk that I'm based in the North, but then again they'd probably only offer a local delivery service if it was an issue. Lastly the price, I've looked around at some other online shops, and they provide the best value for money, nothing else to add there.
    Full marks!

    My girlfriend and I are traveling the states, looking to stay/visit with like minded awake and aware Christians that are homesteading/farming/ranching. We would love to meet you, and learn from you. We would love to be financially compensated if you are blessed to, but we are also happy to trade labor for temporary housing and food while we visit. We are especially interested in animal husbandry, lamb and cows, and raw milk. We like to eat carnivore/keto, but we have both worked on farms and like veggies and fruit too, anything that is sustainable and coming from the land. Reply to this comment if you would like to learn more about us and have something to offer! God Bless

    Question Sir, I was reading a discussion in a Facebook agriculture group
    regarding milking the cows.
    This person who wants to be a dairy farmer, he was saying he rather use natural method using apple cider vinegar and bicarbonate soda mixture and wipe off with hot water flannel cloth the cows teats before inserting the milk tubes.
    He doesn't like the idea using chemical foam and alcohol.
    What do you think?

    • @fenfarmdairy8629
      @fenfarmdairy8629  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! There are lots of different ways to clean a cow’s teats before milking. We’ve tried many, from simple wood-wool, to special wipes, to the re-usable face flannels we use today. There are also lots of substances with which you can clean them, from chemical to natural. The way we have decided on our method has been to spend the last few years lab testing milk samples and monitoring teat health/cow comfort with many different methods. The method we use today has proved to be the best for producing the cleanest milk and also the best comfort and health for the cows teats (used twice a day, cow comfort is important).
      We also chose the cotton flannels as we can simply sterilise and reuse them, and they are biodegradable at the end of their life.
      Hope that helps explain a bit of our process, thanks for your interest! 😊

    Why are you using plastic bottles, surely glass bottles would be more environmentally friendly?

    • @fenfarmdairy8629
      @fenfarmdairy8629  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Important question! A glass bottle needs to be reused between 7-20 times to have a smaller carbon footprint than plastic. We offer both options. We don’t currently have the facilities to take glass bottle returns so we offer glass bottles to customers who are willing to be in charge of cleaning and refilling their own bottles. For passers-by we offer free pre-sterilised plastic bottles. We offer the free plastic bottles to discourage people from bringing their own (often insufficieny sterilised) containers as this could be a health risk. We trialled removing plastic bottles completely and giving free glass bottles to all visitors on the understanding that they would reuse them for future refills but sadly most people took a new free glass bottle on every visit so the carbon footprint of that strategy wasn’t going to be acceptable. Still waiting for someone to invent an eco friendly bottle with a smaller footprint than glass which can hold dairy without melting. Would love to be free of the plastic!
