We were out Friday, May 28, 2021. Trolling anchovies and herring. Lots of under size, 2 keepers. 24 and 28 inches. We were east bay, out from the ferry dock, north of Oakland Airport. Party boat got to watch us catch.
Nice little collaboration video today. 👍 It was a coincidence that you discussed the soft cooler today. I have been debating buying one for my boat. I have a huge cooler that holds a ton of ice but it is just too heavy and unwieldy. I have a friend who has a soft bag on his boat and he really likes it. We hose it out then add just a tiny bit of bleach to some water and give it a good shake. We then let it air dry in the sun just like you do with yours. I just this morning purchased a kill bag that is advertised to have 2” thick insulation. Opah gear is the company I bought from.
What’s up Chris. It was good to see you at the dock today. 6/5/21 I saw you land that keeper around 7 am. I got a 30 lb stingray that’s it. Alrite then, I’ll be looking for that next video. One other thing, was that the give away “fish trip” today. Ok see ya at the dock. Maybe on 6/26/21 o yeah bodega
Angel Island Was red hot with large halibut however the party boats pounded the living craps out the halibut given the salmon closure until June 26th. tides are also tough with muddy water right now. Better fishing going back to the flashers and tray bait popsicles or lucky crafts and spend a few bucks on gas trolling. Other option is shark fishing early before the wind gets up. Big Seven gils are chomping pretty descent and a great fish for videos.
Oh man!! I didn’t realize it was Ish on the boat! So cool! Love the collabo!!!!! Was happy to see you out there fishing. We were the guys who pulled up to you in paradise while u guys were filming the outro (??) for this video!
That looks like a nice fishing rod jezz he'll be lucky if he can drag anything up at all although I've seen some huge lake trout and pipe caught on a ice rod ice fishing rod and is I guess it's just a matter of being able to play just pray to God it stays on the hook or doesn't spit it
I use big plastic bags from ULine. After bleeding my fish I put them in the plastic bag and then into the kill bag with ice. Quick rinse when I get home and all is well.
Great video again! I have learned almost everything I know about Northern California fishing from this channel
Good video Chris! Enjoyed the Oakland A's hat moment! Also like your Corpus Christi Hooks hat! Next time Chris, you'll get your halibut!
Nice of you to take Ish out and put him on a keeper hali! Good job, Chris!
Chris is the man! 31"+ chrome limits next time🤞🏼
Chris you never lose a Fish... Haha... Better not be slipping on us... 👍
Go A's! Loved this friendly banter between you two. Great vid!

J&P Bait in SF.
@@ucdchin thanks!
Let's go A's!!!!!
I’m going out next Saturday or Sunday whatever’s better weather but how is the report is this how it’s been recently or was this just a bad day
Are there any concerns about eating bottom fish like halibut and bay contamination?
Not really, these halibut are not in the bay year round. I believe they come in from the ocean when it is time to spawn.
Back to the drawing board
Chris ,
Better luck next time.
What rod are you using
Dock demon
The instructions are in the name.....leave that toy at the dock!🙂
So much easier to pick up the bite on a regular rod, 7-9 ft long.
wassssssup
Second
LOL little rod
Those other boats are all up on Y'alls junk!!!
