You should also be testing the relief valve once a year to make sure that it actually will relieve the boiler if it ever gets above 30 PSI

Very fine video. I wish you would do one with oil burner.

I have the exact same boiler, just did a leak repair, replaced some pipe and used you videos to make sure I was bleeding the air out properly thanks ! Any way to set this broiler up to our home hot water as well ?

an indirect boiler mate would work great for using your boiler to also supply your hot water. it would take a decent amount of pipe work though. if you are already running natural gas or propane i'd suggest looking at your current tube size that supplies your boiler with the natural gas or propane and if you have enough volume available (depending on length of the run and size of pipe) you could always Tee off of that line and add a nice little hot water on demand natural gas or propane system, they take up far less room and work very well. depending on model they are fairly cheap but would require some electrical, piping, inlet and exhaust work which is fairly minimal and generally take up less space than a boiler mate (depending on the size of your room and location etc) and how much hot water you actually need to supply your demands. hope that helps.

Does the boiler both provide heat throughout the house and also supply hot water for showers, washing machine, etc.?

How about just checking the gas input pressure before and during run, and manifold pressure and adjust to specs. It is a heck of a lot quicker than doing all those calculations out in the field.

To a floor drain. Or more likely just all over the floor.

one mistake youmade is when there is a callfor heat and it shuts dowa at 190 i assume on the limit the damper stays open.

Looks like there was a black iron elbow on the relief valve and it was reduced down to half inch that's not good

it scares the hell out of me that the people asking some really daft things on here are even thinking of working on the boiler - and if this man needs paper and pen when you could work this out in your head in two minutes.
