Hi Chris, I don't normally comment on your older videos but I just have to say that this was an amazing video as your metal working skills are second to none, a truly inspiring video👏🙏👍John UK
Your videos are showing me a lot more than most of the pages I find on here for stuff like this, I’m about to tear my 04 duramax down and put new rockers and bedsides on it and paint the whole truck, it’ll be my first paint job
The ones I use are inexpensive rods from Amazon. Ultra makes some good rods but I don't have enough experience with these tools to make a recommendation. Maybe someday soon.
Good question, I think that calls for a full video. I will give you a few ideas a hammer and dolly set , orbital sander you can get electric if you don't have air. If you plan on painting you need a compressor. Preferably one that produces 15cfms .If that's not in the budget get one that produces the highest cfm's you can afford. Set of blocks, a grinder, a paint gun . I could go on but it all depends on what repair you want to do. Thanks for the comment!

When you say you don’t usually metal finish at your shop are you saying that the high volume shops usually just replaces these kinds of parts ?
Yes, that would replaced for sure. The only reason I repaired is because it is my wife's car and I couldn't wait on the part.
What body repair tools should a diy person should buy.

So for the dolly did you do it hammer off dolly? I’m just trying to refresh my mind
Both but to remove the larger dents I put the dolly on the dent on the underside of fender with slight pressure and slapped the highs around the dent.
Good job…
Thank you!
