I've had one installed for almost 12 months and it is perfect. A bit of work to install but nothing too difficult, it is very adjustable if the door moves. It looks great and I'm very pleased with it.

I am looking for something I can retrofit onto a gate that has half rod iron that can latch and lock. This looks great but it also looks like it is going onto inch wide not half inch. Is there anything like this that will work on half inch?
I purchased this lock, and installed it according to the instructions included, and the process shown on this video for reference. The "pull" handle is fully depressed, and will not move. The button on the other side is full up, and will not move either. I cannot unlock my gate, even with the keys. Any suggestions?
After talking to Ian at D&D tech support this morning, the problem was resolved. Turns out that the latch is shipped in a compressed secure state. As instructed, I took one of the keys and inserted it into the "pull" side lock. Then, the unnerving part- twist the key forcibly in the unlock direction. It will eventually reach a point when you will feel something give, and the compressed shipping state will unlock. The gate latch functions flawlessly now. Thanks Ian!
Hi D Rat, the LokkLatch Magnetic latch was designed around being our premium gate latch and will withstand quite a reasonable amount of force and would be quite difficult for any normal person to be able to kick open. Thanks
I need help. Before installing the Keeper, I put the Keeper in the actual latch and I can not get it to detach. I am turning the to unlock and lock position and it won't detach. Frustrating.
It sure would be swell of you guys to mention in the video what the holes on the jig are for, and maybe have a downloadable instruction set on the product webpage. The donuts on this jobsite threw away the instructions before I, the installer, could see them!
I installed the non magnetic gate lock, I can unlock it from the outside but can’t lock it, I have to go to the other side of the gate to lock it. Disappointed .

Would this work on a double gate? If not, which latch/lock would be best?

I am having the same problem. I put the catcher in the latch to see how it works. No matter how I turn the keys the catcher won't detach or unlock.
I just put the key in and turnt it and wouldn’t unlock with normal hand pressure. Had to use pliers and break a key to get it to open
