Great lock, had one for 12 years, it broke I called the company and they sent me a brand new one for free. Took me about a half hour to install the new one and I'm good to go! Thanks lokk latch.

From the outside how do you release the latch, do you need a key or is it also push button?

My mother has this lock at her home but she's confused on something. When you lock the gate from the inside, you cannot open it from the outside unless you unlock it from the inside. She thinks it's a defect. I just need someone to confirm if it is accurate that it does that. I think it's just a security feature but she thinks otherwise. Thanks.

Temujin ... any chance of a latch part for a rounded gate frame... I dunno if the square edge latch will fix properly to the gate?

These locks are complete garbage. On the same day, I installed two of them. One on each gate of my fence. And proceeded to struggle with them for almost two years... until finally the exterior button on each of them just stopped working (coincidentally?) around the same time. I kept the installation instructions and followed them to a T. I have had to disassemble and reassemble each one multiple times just to get them to work in some kind of practical function. Today, I finally give up. I hate these locks. I'm currently shopping around for something built by a completely different company. I would not recommend these whatsoever.

So all you have to do is take out the four screws and your in. Hahaha. Not too secure.

drill the face of the screws or replace the screws with the type that are hard to remove is one option

No lock is going to keep real criminals out. These are good. Don't forget there is also screws in the gap between the post and gate. A 10mm gap is a bit hard to get a screwdriver in, not to mention getting the screws out. CHEERS

If you are using this kind of lock, chances are your gate isn’t very tall. If someone wants in I’m sure they can just climb over it. I think this is more for securing pools and gates that you don’t won’t your children to open. Also, you can’t remove the screws that are on the sides with the gate closed.

you cant access the scews on the inner edges if the gat is closed

As others have mentioned, two of the screws are on the inside, so when the gate is closed they're almost impossible to remove. However, it's worth remembering the old adage: "locks only keep out the honest" - if someone REALLY wants to get through, they'll find a way!
