    The DJI Action 2 is quickly becoming my favorite action camera because of it's size and amazing image stabilization. And this tiny remote control and tripod / selfie stick makes it even better. You can control the camera, change modes, and ensure that it is recording when it's mounted to your favorite cinewhoop FPV quad!
    We go through the features of the DJI remote control for the Action 2 and also test its range in this video.

    Fun accessories coming for the Action 2. I’m happy we now get to have the DJI Magnetic Protective case for it. The DJI Tiny remote is very interesting as well.

    Does the remote zoom in and out tho? It looks like it has the ability with the joystick.

    In your test Kelly, you didn't take the bottom screen/battery off, which you would do if you put it on your drone. Does it work without the extra module?

    • @readysetdrone
      @readysetdrone  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does work with just the camera. I don’t think that would change the range of connection with the remote.

    I've had this remote for a while and enjoy using it on my bike handlebar while the Action 2 is in front of my handlebar or easily moved to my helmet brim or selfie stick. I glued a thin metal piece (16x26 mm) to the bottom of the remote so it attaches to a handlebar mount using 2 neodymiun magnets to grab it securely Very useful! Thanks for your good review!

    • @readysetdrone
      @readysetdrone  ปีที่แล้ว

      Dennis, can you switch between photo and video mode with a glove on?

    • @dennisfrancisco213
      @dennisfrancisco213 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@beartrax7709 Turn on Action2 + Remote Control. Press Pair button. To change mode, press down MODE button and toggle left or right to select mode, which is displayed on remote and camera. Works with thin gloves but might be difficult with thick gloves or mittens.

    Thanks Kelly for sharing this....DJI is an awesome innovator for cameras for sure. I like using the Mimo app to control because I can see remotely what the camera sees. However, it also is limited in range because of Bluetooth. Maybe someday, ocusync technology will be miniaturized to replace Bluetooth?

      I’ve never thought of that, but it would be great.

    Are you able to use the remote to actually turn on and off the cameras. My old gopro remote would allow me to turn on and off the cameras and then start recording. It appears that this is not the case with the DJI remote. That makes the remote useless for my application. Or am I missing something?

    • @readysetdrone
      @readysetdrone  ปีที่แล้ว

      You're correct. This remote is definitely not very useful for most applications. 😕

    Are there any remote contols available for the DJi Action 3 camera??

    • @readysetdrone

      As far as I know, there aren't, however, based on other people's experiences, this remote is compatible with the Action 3.

    Can you trigger the Recording while the Camera is Powered Off?

    • @readysetdrone
      @readysetdrone  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It doesn't seem like it. After powering both the camera and the remote on, they need several seconds to connect. I wish it were more of an instant connection.

    • @THEFATKIDPH
      @THEFATKIDPH 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@readysetdrone Thanks, and yes i hope it can do that to trigger the recording if the camera is away and off.

    • @readysetdrone

      Yes, it sometimes takes a few attempts. It was a little bit disappointing. We were hoping for more range, but it's really just made for the selfie stick.

    I received mine yesterday, I am very disappointed ! It's very fragile and shaky, the handle is plastic, I strongly advise against it if you're going to move during recording. the stability is therefore impacted! opt for an insta 360 stick + its metal tripod! ultra resistant and stable!
