Consider me not surprised that you dropped House of Leaves hahah, it sounds like such a chore honestly!! Really happy to hear that Shauna stuck the landing btw, I can't wait to get back to the series. And ooooh you will have to let me know how DCC holds up with an eyeball only read because I don't have audible and I have been reluctant to start the series on ebook because everyone says the audio is the way to go... but the FOMO!!! 🤣🤣 I finished up my reread of Words of Radiance and Edgedancer this week, and now I have started my first SPFBOX finalist for judge duties (The Oathsworn Legacy). Sending all the well wishes to Chris! And hope your ear troubles all get better soon! All the hugs 🥰
I feel very positive I'll be just fine reading it on Kindle for DCC 7. Yes, the audio is S Tier - but after listening to 6 books, I have all of Jeff's voices down for the characters in my mind, so when I read without the audio, I still "hear" everything in his voices, if that makes sense. (But I absolutely will be listening to book 7 in February when it drops!!) WoR - it's impossible not to immediately chuckle when I read that title because Shallan is SO funny in that one. (Boots!) I remember I was getting a tattoo the first time I read that book and had to stop my artist a few times so I could belly laugh several times!!
@@TheNerdyNarrative Makes total sense with the DCC audiobook experience. I HATE that I can't listen to them, but maybe just doing some samples would be enough to get Jeff Hayes' voice in my mind while reading... fingers crossed hahaha And omg that is hysterical. Who knew that listening to epic fantasy could be so dangerous to the tattoo process 🤣🤣
I think it'll help knowing how it's presented for planning for the right time to pick it up. I also kinda think I might need someone to read it with that's a little smarter than me that can help me make the connection between what Zampano chose to research and compile and its relation to the Davidson Record and the consequent result of Johnny reading it.
@@TheNerdyNarrative I was going to offer to read it with you but you said it had to be someone smarter than you so that counts me out! But seriously, I'd be happy to read it with you at some point in the future, when you're ready!
I read long after we are gone by terah shelton Harris it was good it does remind me of the show Yellowstone a bit and the Graham effect by elle Kennedy it was good im currently watching the mystery series the law according to lidia poet im on season 2 it reminds me of murder she wrote
I'm glad I tried it for myself to satiate my curiosity since I've heard so many different opinions of it, and I do respect the unique way it's presented, it's just a little bit too over the top for me.

I really gotta get to Shauna Lawless!!
From what you've read and enjoyed fantasy-wise, I really think you'll enjoy her work. A LOT
@ I bet you are right!
Thanks for giving House of Leaves a try! It's a love it or hate it type of experience, I hope next time you pick it up you'll enjoy it.

I would LOVE to! Might be sometime next year though. Life is a bit upside down currently, so I'm scared to schedule anything.
OMG I had to Dnf that 1 for the same reason.
Okay, we HAVE to talk about this one Thursday night!
@ for sure

I love me some Yellowstone!! I wish they would release the next season already!
Everything I've heard about House of Leaves sounds like I wouldn't like it.
I'm halfway through Tad Williams' To Green Angel Tower and loving it.

Has Shauna Lawless said which time period Era 2 will take place during?
I don't believe so - but I could have missed it. From the ending of Era 1, it could be a few years or several centuries. I'll see if I can find out!
