      NICE! Lucky you to be able to scoop up one of the now rare and legendary sets. Congrats my friend!

    Took me 40 years to own a picture like this, and the best is in my possession at the moment. These sets are rated for 100,000 hours before they reach even half bightness and at 40 years of age Im sure this set will be there when Im very old or even gone.

  • @RageOfThornGuitar
    @RageOfThornGuitar 11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Ok, folks its gone. not even a hint now after a 10 hour, no other type of content, almost no stop gaming session.
    I still couldn't burn the set with a static hud. Did I get mean IR?? YES BUT IT IS 100% GONE.
    Most people dont have that kind of time to play videogames, Im lucky I do, and I call safe.

    I got this because of you. It was the last one in this electronic store chain in NY. I have the 50 Pioneer Elite. I'm very happy just amazing.

      Wow, are you referring to the legendary Kuro!? That is an amazing (and extremely difficult) set to replace. It reigned as the champion set of the world for so long until the VT60. Anyways my friend, I am very flattered that you got this based off of my review and I'm even more happy that you're enjoying it. Thanks for the feedback and I'd love to hear your thoughts on the tv. Thanks again!

    Man these settings are very extensive! I really appreciate you thinking of me. I'm going to plug in these numbers and see what type of results I get but I can just feel that it's going to be amazing. They are really detailed but I don't think that I've aged my set for 240hrs, well I know I haven't but I still can't wait! Thanks again!!!!

    This is very much appreciated information and ultra valuable, especially coming from a Panasonic plasma aficionado! And by the way, Eric Thompson is one of the channel admins, he and RageofThornGuitar both lol. Feel free to comment on this video and assist people. It's really great that you showed up (like you were watching from afar) when you did because we've been debating the most appropriate cooking hours for gaming. I guess you were fated to assist. Many thanks my friend!

    Wow! That is really humbling. CNET are my go to guys when it comes to reviews and opinions, so my head grew about 10 inches went you said that LOL! I'm just happy to help. Most reviews online were too short and only touched on a couple of features. This tv cost too much money for someone to give a vague review of it. That's why I decided to review it, so people could make an informed decision about buying this set. I'm glad that it helped and thank you again for the extremely flattering comment!

  • @xpcornerph1735
    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey man we are always glad to help! And I don't blame you, I have only gamed on my set a handful of times just to behold it's beauty. I played The Force Unleashed and the gameplay was absolutely UNREAL! You can't ask for a more perfect tv. I understand where you're coming from though. I bought my set strictly for bluray movies only. No cable, no dvds, no games, strictly bluray movies. If you do try gaming, just be careful but most importantly enjoy the most beautiful plasma in history.

    Thanks Brad for taking the late night shift. I can always depend on you to be up when no one else is. I appreciate it dearly my friend. By the way, as I told Eric I'm still faithfully waiting for a review from you guys. I think that my skills with my DSLR are good enough to do a video that will actually show off true to life representation pq of the VT60. Of course, if you made a video before then I won't have to (hint hint) LOL anyways thanks again my Aussie buddy:)

  • @xpcornerph1735
    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I absolutely believe you! I'm so careful with my set that I even change the channel or completely turn the tv off if I need to pause a video. This is a set for videophiles and videophiles are going to notice every slight change in picture so I take Rage's word on his experience. He's extremely meticulous when it comes to his VT60 so heed his word. Thanks Rage for the knowledge. I appreciate you telling us about it and I mourn with you. Don't lose hope, it's IR and it will fade totally away :)

    That is very helpful, thanks a ton! 98% efficiency without a pro calibrator is insane. I think I'll go with that instead of having to wait several months. I take your word that it looks amazing. I would have never known that you could rent the software. I saw the videos of the calibration but I figured that you had to buy it. I guess this will be my early Christmas present LOL!! Thanks again my friend.

    You can't go wrong with Panasonic plasmas, especially this year. Of course the VT60 is the pinnacle of TV's right now but the S60 is still a good contender. As I've said before I watch most movies on my ST50 and I think that it looks every bit as good as the VT60 when they're not side by side. And yes, it doesn't matter what set you get, plasma is going to cook you alive LOL! My ST50 roasts me even though my room is blacked out from the sun! KH3 is why I'm buying a PS4, sadly its 2 yrs away :/

    Hello XpCorner PH, dude your review is actually very helpful , I found it more to my liking than cnet & stuff. Yeah, they do very professional review but I was in the market for this & your review was one of the most informative. Thank You.

  • @RageOfThornGuitar
    @RageOfThornGuitar 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes, but you must activate ISFCCC in the tools menu of the set. Once you do this you will get professional 1, and professional 2 in your picture presets. These are the presets a professional calibration expert would use, presumably one presets for bright, and one for dark room. Most pro calibration personnel wont do a set calibration though till after a solid 500 hours use. This gives very ample time for the grey scale to stabilise due to phosphor settlement.

    CREST may not be available in Canada or the USA, Im in AU, butmany companies make the kits as well. It does a fantastic job. Most people dont realise that the set as a protective coating on the to help the screen resist glare on the glass itself. The kit solution provides a kind of clear wax. I apply generously with the first cloth, let dry, then you'll need to buff the wax lightly to a perfect shine. Always make sure your set has been unplugged for 10 minutes and cool to the touch.

    The site is called Plasma Tv Buying Guide. The settings are very bright, still maintaing proper black levels and color. You at least should try the settings

    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's a heartfelt testimony! I forgot to mention that we talked about you in Bible study last night. I told everyone to keep praying for you all the way in AU and we said a prayer for you and some others as we closed out. I'm glad that you're so grateful to God and you understand that it was His grace that kept you and His mercy that spared. Find comfort in knowing that if God saved you and gave you favor, then it's because it has a divine purpose for you! I can't wait to see what it is :)

    That is so crazy, I haven't had a single hardware issue with my set so far. I have noticed that when my internet is limited and I try to launch anything that requires data, that the tv will freeze on that app likes it stuck thinking. I have to turn it off for it to work, but that's it. I still play it from about 10am to 4pm daily running my movies in full screen. I play it on mute and it's as quiet as a mouse. I'm glad that you're getting a replacement though, you'll have a fresh start! :)

    I'm happy to report the W900 is as close to uniform perfection as I've seen. There is some very slight light leakage in the top left corner but I have no flashlighting or haloing that I experienced with full-array sets. I'm trying to find an affordable vcam to do the review, but perry, it's an absolutely stunning set.

    • @ericthompson7501
      @ericthompson7501 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      uniformity is as close to perfection as I've seen in LED with local dimming sets*

    • @xpcornerph1735
      @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow, that's pretty impressive! And what do you mean you're looking for an affordable cam to do the review. You have a Samsung S4, use it's ridiculously great camera. Both this video and the video I did on my Toshiba laptop were recorded using my HTC One X phone. The S4 is light-years better than my One X so whip it out and lets see some reviews LOL! I'm just teasing, but if you're looking for a great camera that takes excellent photos and videos and is a bargain go for the Panasonic Lumix ZS series. Oddly enough, Panasonic point and shoots are ridiculously crisp, just like their tvs.

    • @ericthompson7501

      Haha, how silly of me, S4 review time.
      Thanks man, I'll check it out.

    You know that's a really great idea! I was waiting to see if I wanted to buy another VT60 or should I just wait and get an OLED tv. I normally upgrade my tv's every year bc it costs too much to try and sell a tv 3 years later after technology has changed. You may have just tipped the scale Eric! I don't foresee a better tv than the VT60 by the end of this year or even Q2 of next year at this price, which will be even better around Black Friday. I think you've won me over :)

  • @RageOfThornGuitar
    @RageOfThornGuitar 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Honestly I own one of the best LED tvs ever made and it truly cant touch this set. I was a sceptic of plasma at first, even fearful, but am no longer worrisome over the technology. Any way I can help, along with Perry, and Eric is our pleasure. I struggled with picture issues for years before I got this set, and truthfully wish I made the jump to plasma sooner. I never was satisfied with LCD/LED with the motinflow and uniformity issues.

  • @ericthompson7501
    @ericthompson7501 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    look for an August model on the VT and ZT that's when Panasonic addresses the issue and installs foam fix from factory. I'd just politely ask a sales associate to take off the top of the box so you can see the manufacturing date of your set before purchasing.

  • @ericthompson7501
    @ericthompson7501 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Alex, also keep the brightness and contrast at least half until the end of the break-in. I personally have my contrast on 30 and brightness too. I also keep it in standard mode until then because it's the dimmest of the presets and easiest on the phosphors.

  • @xpcornerph1735
    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's insane! I don't even want to talk about price anymore because I was one of those morons who couldn't wait and bought it when it first came out. After reading the deals that you guys are getting I feel like I've been robbed. You can't beat that price with a stick!!! Get that set and you will become a believer lol! Looking forward to hearing your take on the VT60!

  • @TheMajesticFreak
    @TheMajesticFreak 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I took the plunge. Bought the 60 inch today since they only had 8 left in stock. I was comparing the leds to the VT60 on a side-by-side comparison, and the plasmas just look sharper. Obviously the LEDs were much brighter in a brightly lit room, but the colors just seemed too washed out, not to mention the dreaded soap opera effect. Very happy person since I waited a year from its release date for prices to drop.

    • @xpcornerph1735
      @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      NICE!!! Welcome to Club VT60! And yeah, the LED tvs are nice and all but that can't hold a candle to the VT60. I'm just glad that you were able to get a great deal on the set. I spent a fortune on mind because I just couldn't wait and now I'm seeing all these great deals and feel silly for not exercising some patience. Let me know if you have any questions once you set it up. Also I have tons of information in the about section of the VT60 videos so be sure to check it out. Congrats again on your purchase!

    • @TheMajesticFreak
      @TheMajesticFreak 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup. I was gunning for the 55 inch, but they were out of stock. When the Best Buy employee said "8 left in stock" I went into survival mode and reserved my set lol. Plus the rep got me a good deal on the warranty and new stand so the overall experience was pleasant.

    • @xpcornerph1735
      @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's great then. BB has an excellent warranty so you're fully covered! Are you planning on hanging the set or a just a set top stand? If you hang it, you have to do a video because I don't know of I've person who's hung it yet lol.

  • @xpcornerph1735
    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Also one last thing to note. If you have this tv in a small closed room, buy a fan or small air conditioner. Plasmas put out a lot more heat than LCD and LED tvs. I notice that my Xbox and Panasonic ST50 start to cook me after I've gamed for awhile so take that into consideration. It's not a major issue, but I've noticed that the temperature in my bedroom jumps when I run both at the same time.

  • @xpcornerph1735
    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah lol they are but I had no idea about this forum so good looking out, and I think I will go ahead and put these settings in the description so people will have a variety to choose from.

  • @xpcornerph1735
    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I doubt that the IR will be long term. I had IR with my menu bar before but it faded away. It made my heart drop for a moment but it's perfectly fine now. I think that your set will completely return to normal given some time. After you've watched your tv for a while, turn it off and get up close to the screen and see if you can see the image when the set is off. If you can it may be burnt, but if it's fading then it's not, but you probably came pretty close.

  • @RageOfThornGuitar
    @RageOfThornGuitar 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes they gotta get a handel on the burn issues, the blue OLED are saidto age quicker than the other oleds. Current upgrades and progress has been made, but the stuck pixels effect on solid black screens are sat to be annoying if the screen is black for more than r4 seconds up close.

  • @ericthompson7501
    @ericthompson7501 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    yeah, mine sounded like a refrigerator, seems to be an issue with all the May models up until the August one's to present because that's when they install the foam fix. I just got an exchange at Best Buy last night, and now when I go to look at the availability it's says they have to be shipped to store. Hopefully fingers crossed this model I have is at least an August.

  • @xpcornerph1735
    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    My ST50 has been buzzing on white screens since I've owned it. Had the same issue with my Samsung plasma. It just seems to happen on some tvs, not all. The VT60 is perfect no buzzing and no fan noises, plus mine is a pretty good distance away from me too so I couldn't hear it even if it was blowing.

  • @xpcornerph1735

    WOW! I MEAN WOW!!! Those settings looked phenomenal. It's like I went from looking at the world's greatest tv to actually being inside the movie. The picture was so much more 3d-esque! Not that it has ever been flat but those settings really popped. I'm not even sure that I punched them in right but it looks amazing nonetheless. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • @RageOfThornGuitar
    @RageOfThornGuitar 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    So, I got to game tonight on the VT, simply amazing, the color the black level so deep. I played a couple older titles, watched a few vids this tv has some color accuracy thats unmatched. This is the only tv I have ever laid eyes on that 100% satisfied me. The slight judder I was getting is gone, I think that was a user error. THX unbelievable smooth image with game mode enabled no reductions whatsoever. NOBODY can go wrong with this set. Great for games, virtually no detectable input lag.

  • @RageOfThornGuitar

    As of right now the image remains, it is faded a bit, but still there. It is showing the characterisation of IR, but its being very stubborn. I did read that its possible to get long term IR that can last as much as a month in extreme cases. So I as well hope its just residual charge, Im aging another 100 hrs, the sets been on all night.

  • @RageOfThornGuitar
    @RageOfThornGuitar 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The set has a built in slide feature I believe which Perry showcases in his other video I believe.

  • @xpcornerph1735
    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah I did it shortly after I got the link, it really is amazing! I can't wait to see the set when it actually gets "pro" calibrated!

  • @xpcornerph1735
    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah, I went through that same process with my other ST50. I bought a 50 inch and a 60 inch and the 60 inch was cracked. I had to take pictures of both sets and send the serial numbers and it was a tedious process. After it was all done, I kept the 50in and had the 60in sent back. They refunded my money and also sent me a courtesy bluray surround sound, which I sold on Craigslist LOL. I had to call a few times to get a good agent, but once I did I was happy with their support.

  • @RageOfThornGuitar
    @RageOfThornGuitar 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Been reading alot of reviews on oled, they have motion blur like led, sad. The things they beat plasma was black level, contrast (Depending what plasma its compared to), and power usage. Everything else plasma bested or equalled it at far less of a price. OLED isnt as durable its thought, as they think the blue oleds burn out quick. OLED gets burn in too. It really bites Panasonic pulled out of plasma. We have a rare gem, a technology the world will miss when its completely gone. I had a few hiccups breaking this set in, but after that, I think I would cry if it died. I just hate the fingerprints with the shiny remote.
    I owe it to you Perry, your video also played a great part in me getting this set. Couldn't thank you enough.

  • @xpcornerph1735
    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Of you definitely want to get this tv. A guy commented several comments back. He has the VT60 and is a huge gamer. He stated that he aged his set for 300hrs and has yet to have any issues whatsoever so you've got the green light to game until your hands cramp. Even my friend Rage who thought he had burn-in, he said today that his tv is back to perfection. You don't have to get the step down S60 or an LED the VT60 is your new best friend! Your dreams await you my friend, get the VT60!!!

    My journey with the Panasonic VT60 ended in January 2020. The screen never suffered a burn in, even after hours and hours of gameplay. The tv in the end of 2019 began turning itself on and off repeatedly. It would happen randomly at first, and later progressed into a constant on off. The cost to repair wasn't worth the return, as more things was likely ready to go out soon.
    I feel like it was a short run, but a beautiful one. Still the best tv I have ever owned. It just died way too quickly.

    as far as cleaning out the fans is concerned and if it gets too dusty in that area, pull the plug on the tv, wait 10 minutes for an kind of static electricity to go away and get a low-powered vacuum cleaner holding it a half inch away from the fans to suck out any dust that may be present. Wait about 20 minutes then plug your tv back in. That is if it's even in a dusty environment, conventional light dust never hurt anything.

    It's crazy how this tv can make a room seem tiny when you put it in a smaller room. It can sometimes feel overly intrusive lol. So far I haven't had any problems though and I'm up to a solid 300hrs +. I haven't enjoyed the pq of it in a while so I can't wait to pop in a movie and see how it's looking now. I'm even more excited about the calibration using the software.

    Some modes, and option menu names in my Australian set will vary from a USA, and other sets. Every region is different as well. I would presume that the Pro1, and Pro2 settings would be achieved as I wrote though universal.

    No closer than 1.5x the size of the set and no further away than 2x the size of the screen. So anywhere between 82.5inches (6.875 feet) to 110inches (8.33 feet) are the ideal viewing distance for your set. My set is 65inches and at ten feet (the max distance away) I still feel a little cramped at times though, so it varies according to your eyesight.

I've been waiting (patiently might I add) for it to come out on bluray so I can enjoy it from the confides of my own home on the best tv known by man :) All of my friends say that it starts a little slow but once it picks up it gets amazing!!! I can't wait, definitely a buy instead of a rent!

    Thanks for the advise. It sounds on par with what I've been reading on AVS forums.

    2024 and this is still a better TV than 90% of current TVs on the market- will outperform just about anything in a dark room environment, still.

    I adjusted for what I like to see. My picture is not for everyone and no I didn't get into the service menu but the time that I spent and the results that I achieved are remarkable. You'd be impressed how flawless my picture looks because I adjusted it with my very good eyesight. Even a true piano tuner doesn't rely on a pitch gage or tuner, they rely on their own perfect pitch to finely tune a piano. I do recommend equipment but the best calibrations are done by sweat HAHA!

    brightness and contrast, brightness and contrast, brightness and contrast. It's absolutely imperative you keep both below half during break in if you don't want to worry about accidental burn during the process. Afterall, the two are big culprits in causing the burn-in when the set is new.

    Yes thats correct my friend. but You can activate that as well within my set even in normal preset mode, even with game mode active, it runs the screen it seems in full pixel mode. Just go to screen settings in your video presets options. Its actually useable in all preset modes.

    Hey CottonPickerrrr, just to reiterate what Clint said. I have yet to notice IR on my VT60 and from the looks of things I doubt that I ever will. With that said, it is a plasma and if you do plan on doing extensive gaming then you may want to keep burn-in in mind because HUDs could cause IR. If you've owned a plasma then I'm sure that you know about this but it's imperative they you properly age your set before you attempt to watch any static images on your screen.

    You're too kind Eric. And you owe it to Brad and me to do a review of the VT60. There can never be too many opinions on a product so the more the merrier. Think about how much easier it would be for people to make a decision on whether to buy this set if there were a multitude of reviews on this set. Just think it over lol

    The article on plasma burn listed on Cnet is getting some user feedback on the issue as well. Im just going to try and ignore the IR and enjoy it, nothing lasts forever, and everything gets a battle scar eventually.

    So far I've gotten mixed reviews on gaming, some say they have IR and even burn-in while others say that they have absolutely no issues with gaming. The ones that got IR also used THX mode and vivid and other bright settings. The first 100 hours are the most important as that's when the tv is doing the most cooking. Most importantly go to pixel orbiter and have that set to On instead of Auto. Have no fear my friend, you'll be fine. Just remember to enjoy your set and congratulations!

    LOL u guys are hilarious! That's who this channel is for, people who plan to buy this set and people who own it. I like unbiased opinions and personal experiences to help motivate my decision. I won't lie, when I first got my set I watched several movies with letterbox before the 100hr breakin simply because I wanted the cinema affect and my tv is still perfect. It's built to last but you should be very careful as it is still a plasma. I still STRONGLY recommend the VT60 though :)

  • @ericthompson7501
    @ericthompson7501 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    keeping the tv dim during break-in, avoiding static images and wide screen content as well as THX mode which Rage aforementioned is absolutely imperative. You really won't be able to truly admire the beauty of this set until its broken in. Be patient friend, it's more than worth the wait.

    Good, that's very comforting! When my old Panasonic finally burnt in the image could be seen when I turned the set off. In Panasonic's defense, it was my first plasma and I was VERY careless with it.

    I wish that I had more time to dedicate to it today, but its been busy. Trust me though, I kept that hud up therr as much as possible and Im 100% confidant that if it was going to retain at all it would have, but not even the slightest hint of IR, and I even paused for 5 minutes. I would think your best bet is 300 hrs full screen content and its game time. Its worth the break in to get this beast of a picture, Im a very happy consumer. Panasonic plasma is the best.

  • @ericthompson7501
    @ericthompson7501 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    no matter what preset you use make sure the contrast and brightness at half to prevent any burn-in within that 100 hour period, that's when your most prone to burn-in.

  • @xpcornerph1735
    @xpcornerph1735  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I haven't noticed any degradation in pq since using it on my set, but I don't use it extensively. It shouldn't be an issue though after the set has been aged and then each pixel aged the same. The pixel aging should only be done after the plasma break in period and is not the same as cooking the set. Thanks bro for looking after the channel too!

    It's great in terms of response time. I did a video of me doing some light gaming on the set and the response was incredible. Much better than my Sony lcd and the picture quality was phenomenal. No loss in pq either with the optional game mode setting enabled. It's one of the best tv's for gaming and superior to the Kuro. I would still hold on to the Kuro bc you have a GEM! Since you already know about plasma, know that this is the best plasma available and it lives up to the hype. Thanks!

    It's 25-32 which is also very good on the VT60. I just recommend the W900a LED to save people the headache of IR or burn-in potential during long gaming sessions on the VT60, since it is still a plasma.

    I have been running full screen content since the incident took place. Its not horrible you can only see it now when standing about 3 feet away, at normal viewing range its virtually undetectable, but its there and if you are picky you will see it. Make no mistakes the sets are more delicate than most let on. Every unit is different. The PQ is unmatched in color uniformity and outdoes most Led in Input lag.

    Thank you my friend! I'm always open to new calibration settings. I'll definitely check it out and see what it looks like. Rage's tv is fine, Eric wants to kill my cats, and now you gave me an early Christmas gift.....this day is over and it's still getting better by the minute LOL! I'll check my inbox straight away :)

    If you get both, I wouldn't recommend getting them both on their launch day, especially the X1. If it failed at a demo, then their probably still trying to rush it out to make the holiday sales. But you're probably right, as similar as each of them are they probably will have traits that the other just can't do (or at least do well like the PS Eye and Xbox Kinect). But when you get them I want to know if it's worth buying. I won't touch one until I know the verdict.

    Thanks Bobby! I decided to go ahead with a pro calibration. Sadly I'll have to wait until next year to get the calibrator that I want. Arkansas doesn't have very many and the guy that I prefer comes to AR in October and is already booked up for the month. He comes again Spring of next year so I'll have my set ready for a solid calibration. Have you tried the software yet? And how are you loving your VT60. It only gets more beautiful with time! The Hobbit and Gatsby are breathtaking on the VT60!

    I only did a shut down to cool the equipment a bit. The VT has fans built in also for extra cooling. I could from time to time hear a low freqency hum from the fans if I was close to the set but undetectable in normal viewing conditions. There alaso is a very sight buzzing on solid white screens, but also undetectable in normal viewing conditions. The buzz is inherent to plasma tech. Each set is different, some buzz some dont.

    As far as the other elements side and back fo the set, the solution can be used on it as well, same as before, on the rag never directly on the set. Never use anything inside the jacks/plugs ect.

    Many thanks as always Eric. Just for the record, if we ever disagree (and friends do that lol), it's ok. I'm not going to get upset about you voicing your opinion on this page so don't feel like you need to hold back. I told you when I made this video that I wanted people to leave honest feedback, and I still mean that. If you're experiencing a problem with the set, say it w/o fear of repercussions. Anyways, thanks as always for looking out!

    W9 produces slightly less black level performance than the HX850, both uses the local dimming and are edge lit sets. The biggest thing with how the picture is driven using the local with edge is uneven black light with light bleed on the edge of the frame. I had the HX950 for a short while and the set was faulty so I had to return, but when comparing black levels aside from the dreaded blooming that full-array presents they were really close. The W9 produces slightly less black level performanc

    This would be exactly why I would have experinced the judder effect. Though my set may say 60hz it may somehow be converting the PAL wich is 50hz by standard to 60hz. Great find Eric.

  • @ericthompson7501
    @ericthompson7501 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    content doesn't always run at 60hz content can be 50hz and the processing turns native 50hz to 60hz by speeding up a process that was slower causing the judder to the eyes.

    I thought about waiting a bit to pick up the 4K one too, but I doubt the input lag is as good as this W9, that's why I'm really considering just going with this W9. Since they both use local dimming and triluminous I bet the W9 and 4K has exactly the same black level performance.
