    I'm 63, I have wrinkles and I love the Nars Light Reflecting Foundation. After I put it on and let it sit a bit, I go back with a damp sponge over my wrinkles and I have great luck with that process, then I put a bit of translucent powder over those areas then spray with setting spray and pat again with a damp sponge.

    Thank you, Lisa! I admit I'm guilty of jumping out the shower, slather on all sorts of ointments and potions, quickly do my make up then want to scream later when I catch a glimpse of myself in a mirror and see that it is actually emphasising my wrinkles instead of improving how I look. I'd got to the stage I wasn't wearing a full face of make up very often because of this but I shall try the more patient approach ...and buy some new foundation. :)

    I find that with regular at home dermaplaning (tinkle stick on amazon), followed by moisturizer and sunscreen, foundations sit so well. Dermaplaning exfoliates dead skin and peach fuzz and leaves skin sooo smooth.
    For concealer, i use Sephora serum concealer for my dry undereyes, then i lightly tap setting spray under my eyes. It prevents settling in the fine lines.
    I avoid med/full coverage formulas and avoid layering multiple base-makeup products. If i must layer, then i use the thinnest layers possible. This helps blur imperfections, but doesn't eliminate it. Its more natural looking and less mask-looking

    This is the video I have been waiting for! I have lines around my eyes from smiling and my makeup always settles into them and looks awful. My only two solutions were don’t wear makeup or if I wear makeup keep my face perfectly still and don’t smile for the duration. I’m looking forward to finding better solutions here, thank you.

    I havent been using fdtn lightly, just the wet n wild Tinted Hydrator. By accident when I went out last nite after dark I put on my Australian Gold tinted sunscreen lol, so used to applying it when I go out. But I do occasionally take vitamin D even when eating carnivore refeeds as I did today. My makeup never cakes, what's right with me lol? Thx Lisa, love & blessings.

    I have been looking EVERYWHERE for Charlotte Tilbury eyeliner in Classic brown that you recommended as one of your favorites. It is sold out online at her website also. Is it because she is remaking it? I liked this video. Just purchased the Estee Lauder Futurist foundation and I need to adjust how much I am using because it did start to settle into lines by my mouth. 1 pump seems to be too much, I used a BK beauty brush for application. I also ordered the Stansout sponge which I'm hoping will also help after application. I love all your videos!

      I don’t know??? But I need to repurchase so I hope it’s back in stock soon 😩😩😩. One pump of the futurist is.A LOT! I can get away with 1/2 pump!

    Thank you- do you have tips for freshening up after your 8/10 hr work shift?

    • @LisaMonique
      @LisaMonique  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I do! I usually take a little concealer under the eyes and around the nose and mouth, powder it a little and reapply lips! If my blush wasn’t one of my all day blushes, I might just touch that up to, but usually just putting concealer around the mouth and nose and inner corner of eyes is enough to give my face a fresher look.

    What would you suggest for really dry, lined eyelids? Eye primers usually make things look more dried out! I’m at my wits end with this issue! Even eye shadows by the end of the day look dry on my lids!

    • @greekgirlsings
      @greekgirlsings ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Have you tried applying a beauty oil on your eyelids overnight? Even just jojoba oil from Whole Foods worked for my flakey eyes.

    • @LisaMonique
      @LisaMonique  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely a good eye cream, I would also look at your skin care. Are you using any retinol or tretinoin? I do hear even if you don’t put them around your eyes, it can really dry them out because it moves around your face. So you may try and eliminate for a few weeks and see if that helps. I would also try cream based eyeshadows. Charlotte Tilburys Eyes to Mesmerize is light and fluffy going on but dries down well. Even the Elf eyeshadow sticks blend out easily but quickly dry down (finish one eye before you go to next, they dry quick). Some eyeshadow sticks are “thick” and harder to blend, so if you, you are looking at department store brands, i.e., Laura, Mercier, or Lancome, or Charlotte Tilbury you might want to test one on the back your hand to make sure it blends easily, and doesn’t tug blending out

    • @nataliemammitzsch4369
      @nataliemammitzsch4369 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LisaMonique thank you! I don’t use retinol very often. I use a very good eye cream from city beauty. It’s just when I use shadows and eye primers that really make them look 100x worse! I have spent tons of $ on eyeshadows including high end. I have deep set eyes as well so I don’t like to wear dark shadows. What would be your fav satin shadows? Maybe that would help?

    • @LisaMonique
      @LisaMonique  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think a lot depends on the product. If you have a medium, but buildable to full coverage, concealer or foundation tends to have more pigment and covers better. At least in my experience. A really full coverage matte foundation, or concealer tend to look Carly on me. And you can always use a greenish corrector lightly applied underneath too.
