Nikola Tesla was a Christian. His father was a Serbian Orthodox Priest. I think what he was saying is that when we read Genesis 1 we see there terms that are from God but from our perspective are energy, frequency and vibration. Two ways of explaining the same things.

I jumped over here from watching your "Why I left Christianity" videos. They were very validating to me. I've been toying with the idea that "God" has a quantum entanglement type nature. And when humans try to observe/focus on God we literally push into existence the image of God that allows us to connect with the creator.

When I listen sometimes not often to these kinds of video, it just reinforces my faith in the God of the bible. Through my own experiences in life and not anybody else, I've learned for myself that the God of the bible is very real, but that's for me and anybody else who truly believe.

Ann Marshall But which God of the Bible? People who believe in the Bible don't seem to agree either. Jews don't agree with Christians and they read and believe in the same Bible. Catholics and Protestants don't agree although they read and believe in the same Bible. Baptists and Presbyterians don't agree . Prosperity Gospel, Non-Denomination, Calvinists, Armenians etc etc. In the end it all depends on your or your friends and other peoples interpretation of the Bible. This explains why there are more than 40,000 Christian denominations and groups. The question still remains : Which God of the Bible.....? Because Bible believers still disagree.

    • @nathanielotto258
      @nathanielotto258 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@wajutiem08 All the groups you mentioned agree on "which God of the Bible" with the possible exception of Jews as they don't believe Jesus was the Messiah and they don't believe he rose from the dead. Protestants didn't separate from the Catholic Church because they couldn't agree on who God was. They separated because the Catholic Church used church tradition as an equal authority with the Bible. When people from different parts of the world, who had no contact with each other in many cases, read the Bible honestly they realized that church tradition had come to a point where it contradicted very clear teachings in the Bible. That's why the protestant reformation happened.
There are relatively few denominations that believe the Bible is a reliable source of truth. Among these groups there is a tremendous amount of agreement. When people interpret the Bible honestly without shoving their preconceived ideas onto the text, they come to very similar conclusions.

I'm sorry but faith is absolutely worthless! Especially when dealing with things of this magnitude. Faith is the excuse people give when they do not have sufficient, empirical evidence to support a premise. There is absolutely nothing you can't have faith in. I can have faith that I can lift a car over my head, I can believe on faith that Scandinavian men are inferior to Ethiopian men. Do you get my point? Faith is never an accurate path to the truth

Hello Jen, I was about to go to sleep, and then saw your video about why you left Christianity, and literally listened to it for the whole hour. As a Muslim, I am surprised in your years and years of vast research about finding the truth and asking questions, you never mentioned the other monotheistic religion of Islam? The reason is that you mentioned Moses and Jesus being sent for the people in their time, which is exactly what we believe! You mentioned the Big Bank Theory, it is mentioned in the Quran! You mentioned Christianity believing in multiple gods and the trinity is not mentioned in the Bible, but it is mentioned in the Quran! The way you spoke and explained all these things, I was blown away. You mentioned the Bible written by multiple people, which is exactly what The Quran says about it and how it was corrupted. A person who has studied so many books and searched for knowledge would give the Quran a chance. The Quran is exactly as it was revealed 1400 years ago to Muhammad (phuh) who was not able to read or write. There are so many videos of Christians such as yourself, who asked questions just like you, and all they did was give Islam a chance.
If you are able to watch the stories of Yusuf Estes, Gary Miller, or even a youtube channel called Blogging Theology (by Paul who explores only the monotheistic religions).
Here is the video about Big Bang Theory: th-cam.com/video/l1vBXFhseMk/w-d-xo.html I pray to God you find the truth and even if it is not Islam, I hope you give it a chance. Read the Quran with an open mind, and you may not be a Muslim, but you will find answers to many of the questions you have. Put those questions you put to Christianity, to Islam, and be just as critical! Good luck!

      Truth of TRUTH

      TA + RTH
TA the environment is perceivable to SA through its senses. RA, the repeated observations create the idea of predictability. Rthu, vrutth, round, rhythm etc. are of cyclical nature. English words starting with " re" represent events which happen again. Cyclical precision makes prediction possible. A predictable event in the environment is called TRUTH.
Great is the genius who correlated the sound " r r r " with the precise cyclically repeated events and expanded it to the word truth. Sound " r " is produced by the repeated contact and disconnect of tongue with palate. Sound " R r r " represents repeatability, from there to rthu, rhythm, VRUTTH, VRUTTHI. And TRUTH.
Satya of SATYA is that it's modifiable. Because SA is under the control of self. Anyone can decide to change the way he interacts with environment.
Truth of TRUTH is that it's not modifiable as TA is not under SA's control.
TATHYA of Indian languages is the YA of TA (that) & TA. SA just observes TA & TA (objects of perception) and forms an opinion about the interactive principle between them and calls it TATHYA ( the objective truth, fact). Objects of observation are not influenced by observing SA. TATHYA, truth is not modifiable by SA. The gas equation " pv=rt " is a TATHYA p,v & t are TA's observed by SA. The repeatability of the controlled interaction between Tas made the opinion a TATHYA.
Truth of TRUTH is that it is just predictability based on observation of repeatability or permanence of TA, the events perceived by SA

If God is energy, what is the Spirit? (Genesis 1:2). The energy you are talking about has no "will". It does not love. It cannot create matter by itself not even living things. It is not sentient. It has no knowledge and wisdom. The law of conservation of energy states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed. Explain why an electric current from an outlet be "God".
How can you explain angels and demons, evil spirits, and all stories of peoples experiences with them.

Jen, thank you for the interesting video. I agree with the analogy that God is energy. We use the term as we understand it and it's not therefore an absolute. It's a way in, as it were, a way to engage. We can also say that God is love and truth, which is essentially vibrational (energy) at a fundamental level. What descriptions have in common is that they are mental concepts. Essentially God is mystery, the best minds in the world have tried but can't define it. I don't think we can imagine God, but we can intuit. It's found at the level of the heart, and the head contained within the heart. To keep myself in check however I keep in mind that to a newt, God is a newt. The really big question is, "Who am I?" Therein lies the secret, in my opinion. Wishing you well with your channel. Very refreshing. I intend to keep watching!!

Hi Jen, your testimony just popped up last night. I doubt that the people with the negative comments have ever delved into the scriptures for as long and as deeply as you have.
Might I suggest a man on TH-cam by the name of Bill Donahue. He's a former pastor who explores the mystical meaning of the scriptures. Jesus always said the Kingdom of God is within and when we meditate we activate the pineal gland. Bill shows where in Biblical scriptures. Interesting that Golgotha is known as the "Skull". It's also interesting that Christian churches tell people to seek God but warn against " meditation" when Jesus told his deciples to go within, go into your closet and pray. I think the churches are afraid that if their congregations did this they wouldn't need them. By the way, I believe Bill Donahue also teaches that God is energy.

    • @mariabean1786
      @mariabean1786 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Why add mystical meaning to the scriptures when there is nothing mystical about it ? Read scripture in context, Golgotha is know as the skull because the formation of the rocks looked like one, and when Jesus said go into your closet he was speaking literally - pray in secret not like the teachers of the law praying aloud outside so that everyone would think them holy - see the context? It has absolutely nothing with going inside of yourself

@Rachel Davidson Yep. Correct - Jesus the rabbi taught that he was sent with a teaching about bringing humans to be part of God's family again; to be God's children. He also taught that humans could outperform him as long we transform ourselves into god's sons and daughters. We are then born again in spirit into this glorious relationship.Sadly, humans refused
as in the old testament story of the first family of Adam rebelling against God and the consequences that followed. So, when Jesus calls himself son of God, you too are a child of God likewise. John 10:34
Jesus replied, "Is it not written in your Law: 'I have said you are gods'? Psalm 82:6 (I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High). Psalm 82:1
A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the Gods.Ultimately, what separates us from GOD (the holy) is our rebelliousness otherwise God is always among us - as in Emmanuel. And the kingdom of God is always present.

    • @s.koileken369
      @s.koileken369 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Rachel Davidson Use simple logic to unpack the message in the verse here. The scribe made a mistake in his translation. Jesus taught about God's kingdom, that God sent him, that he could not do anything on his own knowledge etc. - the verse states I am HE! That is carelessness of the scribe conflating a messenger with his sender. So just because it is written in the Bible God, Jesus said x,y, Z - you don't have to parrot out similarly unreasonably.

    • @s.koileken369
      @s.koileken369 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Rachel Davidson Nope - sin separates us from God's kingdom. Remember Jesus' story about the prodigal son? He sinned but was reunited with his family after repentance. Same applies to the lost sheep. Jesus left 99 sheep to bring to the fold 1 sheep that got lost. So, Jesus came to save the lost sheep - i.e. every one that sins. The one you might call children of the devil. Jesus had a big heart! ❤️❤️

I don't agree that 'energy is everything'. This is extreme reductionism and meaningless on its own. Consciousness for instance is not part of energy. To lump together all spiritual values all under 'energy' certainly doesn't make sense. Worship, love, beauty etc cannot be reduced to such a barren, impersonal concept. The ultimate conclusion of such a monstrous way of thinking can only be to worship 'energy'.
There is nothing 'new' here and the related 'law of attraction '. The New Thought movement 200 years ago influenced not only freemasonry, alternative health and the 'new age' mindset, but also the prosperity movement in Christian evangelism.

Let me tell you when and what God created. Billions of years ago,God created the Sun first. God love that the sun shines so beautiful he created a moon to interact with the sun. God loves his creation and so he created earth and other planets. God then made every planet orbit the sun. He loved that like how they moved around the sun. They looked alive but wasn't. Then God saw earth was not only was orbiting the sun,but it glowed. Yes, earth actually glows. Then God God took the moon and made it orbit the earth with the sun. God saw everything was absolutely beautiful. His creation even amazed him. God allowed his creation to do this for some time and then God, wanted life. He chose to bring life to earth out of the other planets because it glowed for God. Then God made life. He then made earth habital for life. A billion years from now he he created microorganisms. Millions of years ago he created life in water. Then he created dinosaurs. Then he created mammals. Dinosaurs roam earth for millions of years and then they became destuctive to each other the the echo system so God destroyed them. Millions of years went by and God was not happy with his creation. They were beautiful but they lacked something. So God created humans but his first were in Africa. In time, after hundreds of thousands of years, they grew tired of Africa and left and spreaded all over earth. God love every species he created. He left them be to figure out the world. He chose and chooses never to communicate with us until pass away. He didn't write any book, commandments,or tell us to sacrifice animals for us. God has never required a sacrifice nor ask anyone to do such a thing. That comes from man and and man. God is unknown. He has no name. We will all know him we are dead. God love what he created and still does. This is what I believe. The Bible, Quran,Vedas,Vestras, and any other religious book does not speak for God. God speaks to people directly if he chooses and it has nothing to do with the Bible. There is no need for me to read the Bible than is for you to read the other religions books. God is just love and that's it.

Even I have been attacked with my own personal written comments on many different sites, be it current events, religion, or racism that had nothing to do with these unseen people. I was astonished that me being unknown would trigger anger in someone I didn’t know. I have even been told to leave America. I enjoyed hearing from Jen Fishburne because she accomplished what I created a goal in January of 2019 to seek and that goal was to learn to read Hebrew and then read the Bible in the language spoken during the time it was written. Well my goal diminished over time for many reasons not related to the goal. Miss Jen not only accomplished this goal she also continued her search for knowledge in so many diverse arenas and now shares her journey with us. I find that brave and find her quite interesting. Plus she doesn’t present her journey evolving from anger or abuse or disillusionment. She presents her personal journey from her own inquisitiveness. Peace, great health and joy to you, your family and to Miss Jen and her family. My background-As of now I am giving myself space from Protestant Christianity (I recently was momentarily interested in messianic Judaism) in which I was born into through a dysfunctional family that raised me in a Swedish covenant church. The name of the church holds no significant meaning to me, in terms of the title including the word Swedish, because it was presented in English and held no Swedish traditions. My immigrant Swedish grandfather was a Swedish covenant minister who died when I was a toddler. My mother was a first generation Sicilian catholic that converted when she married my father, a duplicitous preacher’s son in the 1940s after WWII. The home lacked the Jesus teachings of love and forgiveness and embraced all the judgments and hypocrisy of kindnesses. I grew up anxious and afraid. I applaud all that seek to believe and live in kindness and equality for all.

Consciousness/awareness is a form of energy.

    • @TheWorldTeacher
      @TheWorldTeacher 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      🐟 06. CONSCIOUSNESS/AWARENESS:
Consciousness means “that which knows” or “the state of being aware”, from the Latin prefix “con” (with), the stem “scire” (to know) and the suffix “osus” (characterized by). There is BOTH a localized knowing and a Universal Awareness, as explicated in the following paragraphs.
Higher species of animal life have sufficient cognitive ability to know themselves and their environment, at least to a measurable degree. The brain is merely a conduit or TRANSDUCER of Universal Consciousness (i.e. Brahman), explaining why the more intelligent the animal, the more it can understand its own existence (or at least be aware of more of its environment - just see how amazingly-complex dolphin behaviour can be, compared with other aquatic species), and the reason why it is asserted that a truly enlightened human must possess a far higher level of intelligence than the average person. See Chapter 17 to understand the distinction between enlightenment and mere awakening.
Three STATES of awareness are experienced by humans and possibly all other species of mammals:
the waking state (“jāgrata”, in Sanskrit), dreaming (“svapna”, in Sanskrit), and deep-sleep (“suṣupti”, in Sanskrit). Beyond these three temporal states is the fourth “state” (“turīya” or “caturīya”, in Sanskrit). That is the unconditioned, eternal “state”, which underlies the other three.
The waking state is the LEAST real (that is to say the least permanent, or to put it another way, the farthest from the Necessary Ground of Existence, or to put it another way, the farthest from the Ground of Existence, as explained towards the end of this chapter). The dream state is closer to our eternal nature, whilst dreamless deep-sleep is much more aalogousnalogous to The Universal Self (“brahman”), as it is imbued with peace. So, in actual fact, the fourth state is not a state, but the Unconditioned Ground of Being, or to put it simply, YOU, the real self/Self, or Formless Awareness (“sacchidānanda”, in Sanskrit).
Perhaps the main purpose of dreams is so that we can understand that the waking-state is practically indistinguishable to the dream-state, and thereby come to see the ILLUSION of this ephemeral world. Both our waking-state experiences and our dream-state experiences occur solely within the mental faculties (refer to Chapter 04 for an elucidation of this phenomenon). If somebody in one of your dreams were to ask your dream-state character if the dream was real, you (playing the part of that character) would most likely say, “yes, of course this is real!” Similarly, if someone were to ask your waking-state character if this world is real, you would almost undoubtedly respond in kind.
An apt analogy for Universal Consciousness is the manner in which electricity powers a variety of appliances and gadgets, according to the use and COMPLEXITY of the said device. Electricity powers a washing machine in a very simple manner, to drive a large spindle for laundering clothes. However, the very same electrical power may be used to operate a computer to manifest an astonishing range of outputs, such as playing audiovisual tracks, communication tasks and performing extremely advanced mathematical computations, depending on the computer's software and hardware. The more advanced/complex the device, the more complex its manifestation of the same electricity.
Using the aforementioned computer analogy: the brain is COMPARATIVELY equivalent to the computer hardware, deoxyribonucleic acid akin to the operating system working in conjunction with the memory, the intellect is equivalent to the processing unit, individuated consciousness is analogous to the software programme, whilst Universal Awareness is likened to the electricity which enlivens the entire computer system.
A person who is comatosed has lost any semblance of local consciousness, yet is being kept alive by the presence of Universal Consciousness.
So, then, one could complain: “That's not fair - why can only a genius be enlightened?” (as defined in Chapter 17).
The answer is: first of all, as stated above, every species of animal has its own level of intelligence on a wide-ranging scale. Therefore, a pig or a dog could (if possible) ask: “That's unfair - why can only a human being be enlightened?”
Secondly, it is INDEED a fact that life is unfair, because there is no “tit for tat” law of action and reaction, even if many supposedly-great religious preceptors have stated so. They said so because they were preaching to wicked miscreants who refused to quit their evil ways, and needed to be chastized in a forceful manner. It is not possible to speak gentle words to a rabid dog to prevent it from biting you.
There is evidence of Consciousness being a universal field, in SAVANT SYNDROME, a condition in which someone with significant mental disabilities demonstrate certain abilities far in excess of the norm, such as superhuman rapid mathematical calculation, mind-reading, blind-seeing, or astounding musical aptitude. Such behaviour suggests that there is a universal field (possibly in holographic form) from which one can access information. Even simple artistic inspiration could be attributed to this phenomenon. The great British singer-songwriter, Sir James Paul McCartney, one day woke with the complete tune of the song, “Yesterday”, in his mind, after hearing it in a dream. American composer, Paul Simon, had a similar experience when the chorus of his sublime masterpiece, “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, simply popped into his head.
In recent years, the term “CONSCIOUSNESS” has been used in esoteric spiritual circles (usually capitalised) to refer to a far more Homogeneous Consciousness (“puruṣa”, in Sanskrit), due to the fact that the English language doesn’t include a single word denoting the Universal Ground of Being (for instance “Brahman”, “Tao”, in other tongues). The word “Awareness” (capitalized) is arguably a more apposite term for this concept.
The typical person believes that the apparatus which knows the external world is his mind (via the five senses), but more perceptive individuals understand that the mind itself is cognizable by the intellect. Wise souls recognize that the sense of self (the pseudo-ego) is the perceiver of their intellects, whereas awakened persons have realized that the true self/Self is the witness of ALL these temporal phenomena.
The true self is synonymous with Consciousness, or with Infinite Awareness, or the Undifferentiated Unified Field (“Brahman”, in Sanskrit).
The Tao (The Reality [lit. The Way, The Path, or The Road]) which can be expressed in language is not the REAL Tao. All concepts are, by nature, relative, and at most, can merely point to the Absolute. That explains why some branches of theology use the apophatic method of discerning The Infinite (“neti neti”, [not this, not that], in Sanskrit). Also known in Latin as “via negativa” or “via negationis” theology, this philosophical approach to discovering the essential nature of Reality, gradually negates each description about Ultimate Reality, but not Reality Itself.
Ultimate Reality (“Brahman”, in Sanskrit) alone is real - “real” in the sense that it is the never-mutable substratum of ALL existence. The wisest of the philosophers of ancient India distinguished the “real” from the “unreal” (“sat/asat”, in Sanskrit) by whether or not the “thing“ was eternal or ephemeral (cf. Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upaniṣad 1:3:28, Bhagavad-gītā 2:16, et altri).
Gross material objects (such as one's own body) and subtle material objects (such as thoughts) are always changing, and therefore not “real”.
REALITY is clearly seen by those self-realized persons who have experienced spiritual awakenings (which occur either spontaneously, or after a gradual process over many months or years), yet only intellectually understood by those who have merely studied spiritual topics (that is, those who have practiced one of the four systems of religion described in Chapter 16 but have yet to awaken to their essential nature).
“If you remain as you are now, you are in the wakeful state. This is abolished in the dream state.
The dream state disappears, when you are in deep sleep. The three states come and go, but you are always there.
Your real state, that of Consciousness itself, continues to exist always and forever and it is the only Reality.”
      *************
“The ego is the identified consciousness. When the impersonal Consciousness identifies itself with the personal organism, the ego arises.”
      *************
“The only true meditation is the constant impersonal witnessing of all that takes place in one’s life as mere movements in the universal Consciousness.”
      *************
“I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.”

I was raised to believe in the Bible and Christianity, but in 2006 I started to question all of my beliefs about everything. I hit the reset button and began from scratch to slowly allow into my belief system only things that made sense to the logical part of my mind. There are not many beliefs in there right now. Lol. Who really knows what is true about anything really? Where's the proof? Makes sense to me though that we didn't come from nothing, so we had to have been created, and so it follows that we have a Creator, one who/that is obviously enormously intelligent and powerful. Beyond that, there are only questions and no concrete answers as to how we got here, why we're here, what happens after we die, why is there so much suffering, why is there so much evil in this world and why would our Creator allow it to continue, etc.is anyone's guess and it must not be that important to know or our Creator would and could have made the answers accessible and clearly identifiable/unmistakable to ALL through an inner knowing, not through any external source. I still want to know, and it's so much fun to try to come up with possible answers and hear others' guesses. In the end, we believe what we do because we WANT to believe.

The first verse in the Bible, Genesis 1:1 tells us that God has created everything - including all matter and energy. This means that God can't be identical to the universe, nor can He be identical to any aspect of the universe. Since energy is part of the created universe, we must conclude that God can't be energy.

I would like to say how much I appreciate your videos. They are extremely honest, well researched, concise and more to the point they are very interesting. In this latest video you have gone into great detail describing "God" as energy. This concept is not new ,however, I'm struggling to rectify this concept of energy with the biblical physical interactions with "God" as written throughout the Bible.
Could you please help with the anthropomorphication of energy in these physical interactions? If God is energy just who or what are all these people interacting with? How does energy speak, walk, heal and move about with humanity? You ask to replace the name or title of God with the word Energy yet throughout the bible wherever God is mentioned it is usually done so as a human manifestation or with human attributes. This may provide greater clarity in energy as God.
I am the truly interested in learning more on this subject.

      🐟 02. A BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF “LIFE”:
Everything, both perceptible and imperceptible - that is, any gross or subtle OBJECT within the material universe which can ever be perceived with the cognitive faculties, plus the SUBJECT (the observer of all phenomena) - is to what most persons generally refer when they use the term “God”, since they usually conceive of the Primeval Creator as being the Perfect Person, and “God” (capitalized) is a personal epithet of the Unconditioned Absolute. However, this anthropomorphized conception of The Absolute is a fictional character of divers mythologies.
According to most every enlightened sage in the history of this planet, Ultimate Reality is, far more logically, Absolutely NOTHING, or conversely, Absolutely EVERYTHING - otherwise called “The Tao”, “The Great Spirit”, “Brahman”, “Pure Consciousness”, “Eternal Awareness”, “Independent Existence”, “The Ground of All Being”, “Uncaused Nature”, “The Undifferentiated Substratum of Reality”, “The Unified Field”, et cetera - yet, as alluded to above, inaccurately referred to as a personal deity by the masses (e.g. “God”, “Allah”, “Yahweh”, “Bhagavan”, etc.).
In other words, rather than the Supreme Truth being a separate, Blissful, Supra-Conscious Being (The Godhead Himself or The Goddess), Ultimate Reality is Eternal-Existence Limitless-Awareness Unconditional-Peace ITSELF. That which can be perceived, can not be perceiving!
Because the Unmanifested Absolute is infinite creative potentiality, “it” actualizes as EVERYTHING, in the form of ephemeral, cyclical universes. In the case of our particular universe, we reside in a cosmos consisting of space-time, matter and energy, without, of course, neglecting the most fundamental dimension of existence (i.e. conscious awareness - although, “it” is, being the subject, by literal definition, non-existent).
Just as a knife cannot cut itself, nor the mind comprehend itself, nor the eyes see themselves, The Absolute cannot know Itself (or at least objectively EXPERIENCE Itself), and so, has manifested this phenomenal universe within Itself for the purpose of experiencing Itself, particularly through the lives of self-aware beings, such as we sophisticated humans. Therefore, this world of duality is really just a play of consciousness within Consciousness, in the same way that a dream is a person's sleeping narrative set within the life-story of an “awakened” individual.
APPARENTLY, this phenomenal universe was created with the primal act (the so-called “Big Bang”), which started, supposedly, as a minute, slightly uneven ball of light, which in turn, was instigated, ultimately, by Extra-Temporal Supra-Consciousness. From that first deed, every motion or action that has ever occurred has been a direct (though, almost exclusively, an indirect) result of it.
Just as all the extant energy in the universe was once contained within the inchoate singularity, Infinite Consciousness was NECESSARILY present at the beginning of the universe, and is in no way an epiphenomenon of a neural network. Discrete consciousness, on the other hand, is entirely dependent on the neurological faculty of individual animals (the more highly-evolved the species, the greater its cognitive abilities).
“Sarvam khalvidam brahma” (a Sanskrit maxim from the “Chandogya Upanishad”, meaning “all this is indeed Brahman” or “everything is the Universal Self alone”). There is NAUGHT but Eternal Being, Conscious Awareness, Causeless Peace - and you are, quintessentially, that!
This “Theory of Everything” can be more succinctly expressed by the mathematical equation: E=A͚ (Everything equates to Infinite Awareness).
HUMANS are essentially this Eternally-Aware-Peace, acting through an extraordinarily-complex biological organism, comprised of the eight rudimentary elements - pseudo-ego (the assumed sense of self), intellect, mind, solids, liquids, gases, heat (fire), and ether (three-dimensional space). When one peers into a mirror, one doesn't normally mistake the reflected image to be one's real self, yet that is how we humans conventionally view our ever-mutating form. We are, rather, in a fundamental sense, that which witnesses all transitory appearances.
Everything which can be presently perceived, both tangible and immaterial, including we human beings, is a culmination of that primary manifestation. That is the most accurate and rational explanation for “karma” - everything was preordained from the initial spark, and every action since has unfolded as it was predestined in ETERNITY, via an ever-forward-moving trajectory. The notion of retributive (“tit-for-tat”) karma is just that - an unverified notion. Likewise, the idea of a distinct, reincarnating “soul” or “spirit” is largely a fallacious belief.
Whatever state in which we currently find ourselves, is the result of two factors - our genetic make-up at conception and our present-life conditioning (which may include mutating genetic code). Every choice ever made by every human and non-human animal was determined by those two factors ALONE. Therefore, free-will is purely illusory, despite what most believe. Chapter 11 insightfully demonstrates this truism.
As a consequence of residing within this dualistic universe, we experience a lifelong series of fluctuating, transient pleasures and pains, which can take the form of physical, emotional, and/or financial pleasure or pain. Surprisingly to most, suffering and pain are NOT synonymous.
Suffering is due to a false sense of personal agency - the belief that one is a separate, independent author of one’s thoughts, emotions, and deeds, and that, likewise, other persons are autonomous agents, with complete volition to act, think, and feel as they wish. Another way of stating the same concept is as follows: suffering is due to the intellect being unwilling to accept life as it manifests moment by moment.
There are five SYMPTOMS of suffering, all of which are psychological in nature:
      1. Guilt
      2. Blame
      3. Pride
      4. Anxiety
      5. Regrets about the past and expectations for the future
These types of suffering are the result of not properly understanding what was explained above - that life is a series of happenings and NOT caused by the individual living beings. No living creature, including Homo sapiens, has personal free-will. There is only the Universal, Divine Will at play, acting through every body, to which William Shakespeare famously alluded when he scribed “All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.”
The human organism is essentially a biopsychological machine, comprised of the five gross material elements (which can be perceived with the five senses) and the three subtle material elements (the three levels of cognition, which consist of abstract thought objects), listed above.
The ANTIDOTE to all mental anguish is to firstly discern pain from suffering, then to achieve complete relief from that miserable state of existence, by abandoning the erroneous belief in personal authorship, and abiding in the primordial sense of being (the unqualified “I am”, which is one's core identity). This is the very same peace which is experienced each night during the dreamless phase of the sleep cycle. This 'resting imperturbably as Flawless Awareness' can be practiced on a regular basis, until it is fully assimilated and integrated into one's life.
Every person, from time immemorial, has been either intentionally or unwittingly seeking such causeless peace, most commonly by practicing one of the four systems of YOGA (religion) delineated in the sixteenth chapter of this work, or else in creating wealth and the acquisition of material possessions, or in psycho-physical pleasures. That peace of mind is often referred to as “happiness”, “joy”, or “love”, and often presumed to be a temporal state, since many assume, incorrectly, that continuous peace is unavailable in this life.
Fortunately, that is not the case - it is eminently possible to live one's life acquainted with unbroken peace of mind, if destined.
      Cont...

Following DHARMA (frameworks of authentic religion and societal duties) is not guaranteed to achieve that desired tranquillity of mind, but even so, it is beneficial for individuals, since it establishes a structure which enables one to more easily elevate oneself beyond the mundane, animalistic platform (i.e. the base pursuits of eating, sleeping and mating). Intrinsic to dharma is the division of the adult male population into the four classes of society and the inherent role of girls and women in society, as fully elucidated in latter chapters of this Holy Scripture.
So, now that you understand life, and the reason why we are suffering here in this (ostensively) material universe, you are now able to become liberated from all mental suffering, RIGHT?
WRONG! It is imperative to approach an authentic spiritual master to assist you to come to the above realization, by slowly undoing your past conditioning. Just as you have been conditioned over an entire lifetime to think one way, you need to be re-conditioned to think another way (in alignment with your essential identity as The Divine). For one who has himself for a teacher, that man has a veritable fool as his teacher.
Even if you adhere closely to the precepts of a competent teacher, you may still not come to a full understanding of life, but if you are sincere, humble and dedicated, you will definitely find more peace in your daily life - all of which was DESTINED to occur, of course.
Furthermore, if you are suitably-qualified and it was ordained, you may be fortunate enough to receive discipline from one of the EXTREMELY rare fully-enlightened masters residing on earth at any given time (perchance even the current World Teacher himself), and subsequently realize the aforementioned fundamental concepts, by diligently studying authoritative doctrines (especially the most accurate and complete of all extant Scriptures, this “Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity”), serving your guru with great reverence and devotion, and by deliberately avoiding undue harm to oneself, to other individuals, to society as a whole, and to the natural environment, including other life forms.

Jen's basic conclusion is that God is universal energy. She is not asserting that god is a metaphor for universal energy, but that it is actually universal energy. She posits the Hebrew gods of Yahweh and El, who were eventually combined to become the monotheistic deity Jehovah/Allah/ Lord of Abrahamic faiths, is actually just a recognition and naming of universal energy as god. Basically, her entire proposal is "god" is just the deification of energy.
Her position that this universal energy is omniscient, compassionate, merciful and gracious, relies on the universal energy being conscious, or having consciousness. In other words, her assertions rely heavily on transferring the qualities and morals of human consciousness to this universal energy, so it can then be deified.
I find it intriguing that when energy can be perceived to have compassion or mercy or grace, she runs with it, yet when energy can be seen as angry and vindictive and punitive, she reverses her position and asserts that this isn't god/energy inflicting itself willingly upon us, its just nature. That's trying to have it both ways. It surprises me that she does not recognise her own use of informal, logical fallacies and straw man arguments to defend her position.
I very much respect Jen's knowledge of the topic of the history of Abrahamic faiths and how they've evolved. I have learnt much from her. However, the positions she presents and defends here seem to be nothing more than a transferal of faith from Jehovah and Jesus to a new-age universal deity, or in other words, a deity of universal energy.. Her position still requires the suspension of rational thought, and revisionist reasoning, that all religious faith requires.
Metaphors and allegory should always be recognised as descriptive language tools. Jen seems to have confused, or conflated, her metaphors with what she now projects god to be. Projecting human qualities upon universal energy or natural phenomena to create a deity, is the fashion in which people have created god/s for time immemorial.
Jen posits that energy is gracious and energy is wise and energy is love, energy is consciousness etc. These things may be, and have, energy, but that is different to asserting that energy is those things. Love may be an energy, but energy itself is not love. Consciousness may be an energy, but energy itself is not, or has no, consciousness. The use of the informal fallacy of 'seems like' or 'looks like' is usually used by far less educated people than herself to defend that which they posit.

Hi Jen - your talks are very interesting. I too no longer consider my self a "Christian" and I never felt comfortable saying that I was. I could never understand how I was supposed to have a "personal relationship" with Christ. It always sounded weird to me. However, I can totally understand a "Christ-like" figure teaching that we must love and serve each-other. If Christ did exist, I find it hard to believe that he would have wanted us to worship him. I mean why does God need to be worshiped anyway? It's makes much more sense that God/Christ would want us to recognize and value the "God/Spirit" within each other. Can you imagine what the world would be like if we treated each other as God in disguise?
I think people hide behind the bible rather than live and love in the present moment with those they encounter in real life.

Wow, so well said. I never understand the worship concept either. Sure it feels good to extend love & praise but ppl act like God needed this from us and so many Christians weeping in sadness about the life of Jesus. It boggles my mind since a kid. I kept seeking & searching and found my greatest freedom & joy when I learned to love myself and look inward, it allowed me to have sincere self love & sincere friendships without condemnation toward myself and judgement toward others.
I agree that if we understood the spirit within ourselves and others and loved and uplifted one another and stopped hiding behind judgemental, condemning religions we would all be better off.
It always makes me sad when I hear how excited Christians are to talk about others who are going to hell. It’s a religion of arrogance and self-righteousness.
I’ve never been happier since removing myself. It was hard because of the guilt and shame we were taught but it gets so good in life. My depression completely ended. I was no longer a doormat. Intelligent conversations began instead of touchy feely whoa is me ones.
The problem I notice is that many who leave Christianity though… tend to want to teach the world their new beliefs. What if we all have our own powerful destiny to follow.

This is fundamental principle of Ifa philosophy of the Yoruba people of Nigeria. It's also the basic principle of a lot of animistic Earth/nature based spiritual traditions. Funny how they were mocked as being primitive and backward for not following an Abrahamic perspective, but modern science is showing they knew what they were talking about. When they said everything has life= everything is made up of energy. When they said all life is connected=all expressions of energy is connected. Now we're all talking about Global warming and ecology because we see the negative effects of the imbalance. They told us that nature was made for man to dominate. We told them man is a part of nature and we have to live in balance with it, not dominate it.... Well now look. How's that domination working for us? Now we're all scrambling to do what? Yup, that's right, find that balance and harmony. We call the people in the rain forests primitive. But let global warming and the effects knock out all our technological tools. Whose the ones who will survive because they know how to provide food, clothing and shelter? We scoff at huts..... but can we make one? Our arrogance will be the death of us if we don't get it in check. Life itself is the greatest miracle there is. Why can't we just appreciate that instead of looking for Harry Potter and Superman?

Energy is a matter (substance) that can be measured and can be controlled !
Can we measure GOD or can we control GOD?!
If the answer is “yes” , it means GOD = Energy.
If the answer is “NO” , then GOD is independent.
Conservation Law was made by Newton ! , had GOD also been made by Newton?!
One more thing, GOD doesn’t change from one form to another , GOD is one and only one ; HE is not a liquid , not a gas and not a solid , HE is not like any thing ; he is not a quantity within the range of any type of measurement, he’s not a melting point , not a boiling point , not a freezing point , not a radiation , not enthalpy , not entropy, not a sound , not a light , not a wind , not a sand ….etc.
All universal energy eventually will be sucked in the “black hole” , but GOD will not.

Language speaks for itself. From Sumer to America language have caused so much confusion. As a result some ppl research to find that god appears to be two-faced. He's good and evil simultaneously.
The silly question. If God is good then why he allow evil. Lol That's bc god is a good devil.
God is a gangster. They depicted him in the movie: "The God Father" aka Father God or God the Father.

In Star Wars, there is "The Living Force" and "The Cosmic Force"; That which energizes and animates life and that which the universe is comprised of that is not animated, as life is. I'm guessing each generation, culture & movement has grappled with universal life issues. Who are we, where did we come from, apes etc. what is our purpose?
In the mix comes up God / Gods, higher being, spirit or not.
Tho a professing non Christian or past Christian, you can appear to b stuck in the Bible, to solve the God riddle.
Many many religions explain the God / man concept, some even profess the superiority of man, absence of God.
Unfortunately todays talk seems a little light on, in man logic & reason.
The concept of thermal dynamics/energy is pretty recent, a few centuries, so trying to substitute it back into ancient writing, is like saying....when they said 'I can see into ur heart', from ancient writings, they were actually referring to an x-ray machine.
Concepts of energy, pure or otherwise, are extremely limiting in explaining our physical world, can't go below the surface.
Light, gravity, heat, radiation, electricity, follow the laws of nature but remain inanimate. We are animate, intricately designed, thinking, caring being no amount of random energy explains a designed world.
Love of course is no random energy.
Design & creation is explained thru intelligence which points to a God, but of course doesn't define that God.
The 2 part design of the Bible of course just splits up the 1 story. The New Testiment focuses initially on Son of God, Jesus, then post Easter on stage 2 of God interacting with man via the indwelling of his spirit.
That brings about another split, Peter going back to the Jews/Israelites & Paul heading to Rome & Gentiles / US to share the Good, God NEWS.
    Bless ur Day Allan

If was peaceful. I saw animals all over grass. I saw a large river. I saw colors I've never seen on earth before. I had no physical body whatsoever. There was no fear. There no Judgement. There was no Jesus. There were no demons. There were no angles. Words can't describe that place. A loving presence appeared right by my right side. I felt its positive energy. It was God's presence. This loving presence told me your body is dead for now but not long. I said really? He yes. Then he said you want to cross over and see the others? I thought about my kids and said no. God actually laughed. Yes,God has a sense of humor. He told me if you cross over, you'll never have to wash your clothes again. You see,I don't like washing clothes and God knew. He made a joke and I laughed. Then God said,OK,you can go back but I'm disappointed you won't stay. And just like that, God shot some kind of light right at me and I woke up in the ambulance. This was the truest thing I've ever felt. So,yes, I've experienced God but it had nothing to with the Biblical God.

They had her heart out on the operating table and had to stop it temporarily. During that time she said she "woke up" and thought the surgery was done and noticed that she didn't feel any pain or heaviness like before. She looked over to her right and saw a hallway leading from the operating room that she didn't remember seeing before. She felt compelled to go to that hallway out of curiosity. From what I remember her saying, she found herself going to that hallway without much or any effort, maybe floating, not sure, and noticed that the hallway floor was make of stairsteps but it wasn't going up or down, just across, hard to explain. She went down the hallway and when she got to the end of it she saw basically the same stuff you described - animals, grass, no fear, etc. She said it resembled a nice spring afternoon and she saw people walking around dressed in regular looking clothes and some having picnics and there were balloons, etc. She started to step into this other world and heard a male voice tell her it wasn't her time yet. She said it resembled life here, it was completely different at the same time. She is sure she was dead and saw the afterlife. And she wasn't a christian when it happened either. After she really woke up from the surgery, she looked over to where the hallway was and just saw a regular wall like before. Almost sounds like twilight zone. There's multiple ways of looking at this, and I don't know which way would be correct, if any, but just wanted to share that with you since both of your stories resemble closely.

Firstly, I feel you are anthropomorphizing energy and calling it God without adequate justification. You say things like ''energy is slow to anger'' ''energy is all knowing'' etc. This is the most obvious problem with calling energy, a physical non sentient entity ''God''. The god label has a lot of baggage attached to it, and trying to intertwine energy and god together has ultimately resulted in many of your points drowning in this baggage. In general theistic terminology, God usually means a disembodied mind with supernatural abilities, this is why religious folk can speak of ''god being slow to anger'' or ''god knows everything''. The consciousness of the supposed god is the one doing the cognitive tasks. Energy does not have cognition so speaking from a purely technical standpoint, energy cannot be analogous to most of the verses describing the properties of god.
Secondly, you are not quite right about the big bang. Barring the non accurate description of what it is, it is squarely incorrect to call it creation ex nhilo. The big bang theory says nothing about the ''beginning'' or where everything comes from, it simply describes a period of rapid expansion time-stamped by periods called epochs. Therefore, the big bang theory is not as equally absurd (or even absurd at all) as creationism.
Infact, due to the conservation of mass and energy you skimmed on in this video, we can go ahead and safely assume that the concept of things ''beginning to exist'' is simply not the way we should think about cosmology. This becomes especially true when you consider that time ''began'' (for lack of a better word) with the big bang, lending credence to the idea that maybe things have always just been since there cant be a time before time and since we already know that matter and energy can only be transferred and not destroyed. Ofcourse, all of this would be an assumption, however it is a much more plausible assumption than energy being some god derivative.

Thanks, I enjoyed this. I often use "energy medicine" to help with my chronic anxiety and have been very much helped. So "energy" for me can be a positive, therapeutic, healing (re)source. A corollary to that is light, which also is an energy. As an avid reader of Near Death Experiences, I am captivated with the numerous accounts of NDExperiencers going to a numinous light that is all-loving and affirming. Perhaps the "heavenly" dimension is all about being in the realm of the Light's higher vibration that exudes love and compassion. What if we humans, as conduits of this love energy, raise our currently dull level wattage to high voltage, let's get benevolently crazy levels?
