Please post your discrepancies. In other words, put up or shut up! You folks are a dime a dozen. You act as though you are the minority, but actually, the Bible says you are the majority!

I think what is sad is behind her she has a four volume set that many do not have in their bookshelf. Wuest is one of the best translations you can have. But nevertheless, this just shows what happens when you respond out of your "free will". John 1-13 says conversions are not of the flesh. "However, to all who received him, those believing in his name, he gave authority to become God's children, who were born, not merely in a genetic sense, nor from lust, nor from man's desire, but from the will of God." There is no free will in God's kingdom. Free will is pagan Greek philosophy, continued through the Romanist church and ends with humanism/moralism. But, God calls the soul and He saves the soul and He secures the soul. It is Not man who decides to come and go. And no, this is not a Calvie issue. I am a Messianic who is content in the pre Reformation days. She has a grudge with God. Or, something ticked her off. Or, she did what no believer should ever do; she listened to her mind. The mind is a great deceiver. Or, there is a possibility she has wandered away and she will return. God does not save to allow His people to just walk away from the faith. His blood was shed for His people. He will save His people from their sins. Not save "some" people from their sins because they have a free will and can wander off at will. His people will come. Have you not seen how many clown shows on YT where people are bragging they have left Christianity? In their mind, they have.

Why are Evanjellyfish so adamant that they "left" Christianity? When they had a Bible they must have played around inside of 1 John? Someone already posted below; "They left us, but they were not part of us, for if they had been part of us, they would have stayed with us. Their leaving made it clear that none of them was really part of us. " What the religious fail to understand is the Christian religion has never been a Social Club. The same issues were developed and modeled inside of Judaism. You had the Elect Jews and you had the Jews playing at religion. God must call a soul to His gospel. And when their heart is converted, He keeps them. If they go astray He punishes them. If you hear this woman's story and you say "Right On! Way to show Him!" then you do not understand the gospel of God. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in union with the Messiah Jesus. If and when trials come, we have promises; And we know that for those who love God, that is, for those who are called according to his purpose, all things are working together for good. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that the Son might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined, he also called; and those whom he called, he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified. End of story. I am sorry it didnt meet your needs, but this is not about our needs. this is about making peace with God in His subscribed manner, not ours.

Great topic and interesting comparison that of religion with drugs. I am truly blessed (yes I still use that word, it doesn't belong to Christians only) to have a husband that supports me and actually I got it easy because he was already a non-believer when I started to question things, so I really didn't have that fear of losing him when I deconverted. I can only admire him for making such decision first and not being afraid of me leaving him. And I'd like to say what Alan says is sooo true, a marriage is over because there are ongoing issues and something like one of them leaving Christianity is only an excuse for ending it. When there's true love, it's very difficult for a marriage to be dissolved "just because we're gonna be unequally yoked", at least that was my experience. I never ever thought about leaving my husband just because he stopped believing. I still loved him very much and Christianity wasn't the only reason why we got married. ❤

The Creation Story from Genesis 1. There are three main thoughts on Genesis 1 and the Six Days of Creation. These are a short list, just three... 1) It was Six 24-Hour days that the Earth and Heavens were created. There are variations that it was only the Earth or only from the time of Adam was a total of six days. 2) It was Six 'Thousand Years' days (the thousand years are more or less, but about a thousand years per day). 3) The Gap. In Genesis 1:1 God had created the Heavens and the Earth. That could have been millions or billions of years ago. In verse 2, God replenished the Earth with life. For those that study this - it is necessary that those that have a view on this they have read The Holy Bible over and over. They have read, studied, and meditated on God's Word. If they haven't done this part, then it would be too difficult for them to understand. That is what I believe is true. Of course, God has to help. It is important to consider the Angels. The Angels were also created by God. The Angels were apparently given FREE WILL. When some of them went against God... that was bad for them because they had become FALLEN ANGELS. A note on FREE WILL. I have often heard theologians and scholars say that we all have a free will, but that is not exactly true. Adam had a FREE WILL, but he fell. We are from Adam and we are already in a bad position. We may think we have FREE WILL, but we actually don't, but a fallen position where we need help from GOD. Enough said there. In Job 38, The Lord tells Job that the Sons of God (Angels) shouted for joy when the foundations were fastened... Job 38:4-7 The Sons of God Shouted 4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? When the foundations of the laid - when was that: what day? Also, when God created The Earth did he make it void first? Or was the Earth already existing as a void? In Isaiah 45:18 he created it not in vain or void... Isaiah 45:18 Not Created in Vain or Void 18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else. How long did it take to create the earth from this passage in Isaiah? When did the Fall of Angels occur which includes Satan? When the Serpent was in the garden Satan was already fallen. So when did the fall occur? Also, Neanderthal and Cro-Magnons don't seem to fit. When God made Adam, Adam was intelligent already. Otherwise, if God made man in his own image and if you believe in Evolution, what did God look like? Did he have a Neanderthal appearance, then did he also change in appearance after that? Then there is the dinosaur question. Reading Genesis 1 - I don't see any dinosaurs there. There may have been dinosaur-like creatures in the seas, but not on the land. I never saw where Adam met T-Rex or Triceratops. Also concerning the dinosaurs and science - there were three periods: The Triassic; the Jurassic; and the Cretaceous Period. The Cretaceous Period is when T-Rex and Triceratops were existing. Science has fossils and it is difficult to dispute. Now the fall of Satan is mentioned in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 - and you have to understand that in the Prophets there are oftentimes multiple applications. Again I say, those that have not spent time reading, studying, and meditating on God's Word; and have not been through the complete Holy Bible over and over... this might be too much to handle. To those that have, then please listen to what I will say. In Isaiah 14 - The Bright Morning Star or Lucifer rebelled against God. In this passage it speaks of The King of Babylon and beyond. This passage also speaks of The Beast that will be at his height in Revelation. Isaiah 14:12-15 Son of The Morning - Similar to Day Star 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. The Lord Jesus is called The Day Star by Simon Peter, and he is called The Bright and Morning Star in Revelation by The Lord himself... 2Peter 1:19-21 The Day Star - and The Holy Ghost Inspiring Prophets 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. In Revelation 22:16 The Bright and Morning Star 16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. The Enemy is a deceiver and tries to act like he's The Lord Jesus. His title as Son of The Morning is close to Day Star and Bright and Morning Star. So for the three main thoughts of creation I have one more passage in the book of The Prophet Jeremiah 4... Jeremiah 4:23-26 The Pre-Adam Days God Destroyed the Earth 23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. 24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger. With this passage from Jeremiah it is easier to see the passages from Isaiah and Ezekiel... Ezekiel 28:11-18 The Fall of The Anointed Cherub - and King of Tyrus 11 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. This passage speaks of The King of Tyrus, but it also speaks of the Anointed Cherub that fell. This will also be applicable in the 70th Week. When The Anointed Cherub was in Eden, The Garden of God - that was before Adam was in the Garden of Eden. This is either a different garden or the same garden, but a little different in Adam's time. Again, when did this occur? Walking in the Garden of God. Now, as in Isaiah 14 this individual had a kingdom. This one here mentions that he had sanctuaries. Hmm. He was perfect in all his ways... until iniquity was found. Pride found its way. The devil and pride are closely related. Therefore, I have to go with the Gap. Most modern scholars will go with the Creation of the Heavens and Earth in Six Days, and different scholars vary in that theology. I am in the minority here, but that's okay with me. My reading, studying, meditations, and understanding of God's Word has me to believe that there was a gap in verse 1 and verse 2 in Genesis chapter 1. Salvation is not based on what a person believes on in Genesis 1:1,2 - and I prefer not to argue too deeply on the matter. I will end it here.

The Resurrections - The Just, and The UnJust - Brief Explanation Daniel 12:2 The Resurrections 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. John 5:28, 29 The Resurrections 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. When Jesus Christ died, was buried, resurrected and ascended he took the Saints of the Old Testament with him. When he died and was buried his soul went to Sheol/hades and took up the saved ones... in Abraham's bosom (Luke 16:19-31) and while dying and ascending he fulfilled the Psalms 68:17,18... 17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place. 18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them. The Apostle Paul explains to the Ephesians in chapter 4 about the fulfillment of Psalm 68:18... While he explains the fulfillment of Psalm 68:18, he also mentioned the Gifts for the Church, the Body of Christ, and for what purpose he gave the gifts... Ephesians 4:8-16 During his Ascension he brought up the Saved Ones from Abraham's Bosom, but not the unsaved... 8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. The Old Testament Saints (saved ones) are part of the Resurrection of Life AKA the First Resurrection. This Resurrection is called The Resurrection of Life and is called The First Resurrection. Also part of the First Resurrection includes the Resurrection of the Church Believers and Rapture of The Church. Those that are part of The Church will come before the Judgment Seat of Christ in the Day of Christ. This Day of Jesus Christ will take place ABOVE while on Earth The Day of The Lord will be taking place. The Day of The Lord will take place during the 70th Week foretold by The Prophet Daniel. The Day of The Lord is Earthly Judgment upon Man for his rebellion against God. This Earthly Judgment is separate from the Eternal Judgment that will occur to those that will be sent into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone which was prepared for The Devil and His Angels. When The Resurrection of The Church Believers will occur it will take place a moment BEFORE THE RAPTURE and this occurs BEFORE The Day of The Lord. This Day of The Lord will start with The Covenant that will take place when Israel will sign that TREATY with The Beast (Daniel 9:24-27). Once that occurs, the 70th Week will begin. The Resurrection of The Church and Rapture would have already taken place. When the Mid-Week Occurs, the Beast and The False Prophet will work their Deceit with the Power of The Dragon. They will be able to deceive The World. The Abomination of Desolation will take place. The obedient Jews will flee to the wilderness to the place called 'Sela' or 'Petra' (Isaiah 16:4) - and there, they will be safe for the 3 1/2 years. While this will be taking place on EARTH, The Church individuals will be judged as part of the Body of Christ. What did they do or not do according to The Spirit - as a believer. This judgment is NOT for the SINS of the Believer for those sins were dealt with on the cross 2000 years ago. The Judgment Seat of Christ (AKA the Bema Seat) is what the Christian did as a Believer as the Apostle Explained... 1Corinthians 3:8-15 This Foundation was Laid by The Apostles, and Others Build thereon... 8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. There are many more verses explaining the Judgment Seat of Christ for the Christians. With that said, there is still more involved in the First Resurrection: the Tribulation Saints (70th Week Saints)... Revelation 20:4,5 The Martyrs of the 70th Week / Tribulation Saints 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. The Resurrection of Life / First Resurrection includes The Old Testament Saints, The Church, and the 70th Week Saints - this is all considered part of the Resurrection of Life: these come in Segments or Groups, but are all part of the First Resurrection / Resurrection of Life. There is another Resurrection... This Other Resurrection occurs at the End of The Messianic Kingdom (Millennial Kingdom) at the Great White Throne Judgement - Called 'The Second Death' Revelation 20:7-15 The Resurrection of Damnation / Shame and Everlasting Contempt 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Thank you for your videos and honesty. I have a pile of interlinear bibles and lexicons on my desk waiting to be explored. I am 64 and have been questioning my faith for a while. I prayed on the steps of my church when i was 15 asking Jesus to come into my heart. Whenever i came across passages that didnt make sense., I was told to just believe. My mind doesnt work that way. I am on the path to truth now.

I don't have the time to watch the whole thing. I did listen long enough to get the background. I spent many of my years in the same kinds of churches that are described in this presentation. I left this kind of Christianity not for the reasons Jen did. What I will say is this. Jen did not leave Christianity. Protestantism and Evangelicalism are not Christianity. The church you call a church is not a church. The Bible is something you misuse because no Protestant or Evangelical knows what the Bible is or where it came from. Protestants read the Bible incorrectly. They think they can read the Bible on the basis of enlightenment philosophy and put it together in their own mind. This causes a wrong order of theology which means that the doctrines in Protestantism produce a wrong spiritual understanding of the text. The consequence of this is vast and hard to exhaust. First and foremost, this false spiritual understanding of the Bible results in a false and distorted metaphysical understanding of reality. It starts with a wrong theology of God. A false heretical Nestorian view of Christ. A Unitarian view of the Trinity which also has mixed in with it the Filioque heresy. I guess the Filioque proves that the Reformers didn't really reform the church? These videos are retarded. This woman is so lost and I feel sorry for her. Mrs. Fishburne. You didn't leave Christianity. You were never a Christian. What you thought was Christianity is just a made-up cult. All heretics use the Bible. What you were really believing was Neo Platonism and you were in a gnostic heterodox sect which produced hundreds of Christianity's and cults. Sorry for you. You need to go and get the Pelican Series on Church history and find out what the early church taught, believed, and practiced.

By the way, the word translated as "see" in Matthew 16:28 can also be translated as "perceive." That would mean Matthew 16:28 could be translated as, "Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they perceive the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.” This would mean they won't live to actually see Jesus coming in His kingdom but would understand the future ramifications of His return. Here is what Strong's says about the word translated as "see" in Matthew 16"28 " 3708. horaó Strong's Concordance horaó: to see, PERCEIVE, attend to.

Hi Jen. If Christ is not real and you believed in Him and lived by those principles like you anyway do and you die then what did you lose? Nothing..you are dead and lived a good life and nothing but what if He is real. Then you miss out on an everlasting life. Why risk it? You can not be 100% sure either way. I would rather live in faith and if I am right great. If I am wrong then Im the same off as you. I have no downside but you do.

Its very hard for me. I have dedicated my life to my faith and it feels like I have lost a loved one. I am doubting my faith. I cry out to God and nothing. In constant chronic pain and nothing. If my kid had pain they would not even have to ask, nevermind plead and beg. I will do all in my power to help.

For me Atheism doesn't make sense at all because it doesn't COINCIDE with my daily experiences. Evolution actually teaches the OPPOSITE of what I experience (IN REALITY) on a day to day basis. Here's what I mean. An Atheist is someone who believes that "something came from nothing." I'll repeat that again, an Atheist is someone who believes that "SOMETHING … CAME … FROM … NOTHING." They actually believe that EVERYTHING came from nothing. This notion not only contradicts how I experience my life but it also defies ALL logic and reason. What makes this so unreal is an Atheist would never put that belief into practice. Another words, an Atheist way of life (if you look at the way they live) contradicts their "Evolutionary beliefs" because they would NEVER be able to live out their faith consistently. To say you believe that something can come from nothing but live your life AS IF you need a creative mechanism for something to happen is inconsistent. Now within the Christian worldview, we DO NOT believe that something can come out of nothing but rather you need a creative being for there to be something. Something will never come out of nothing no matter how much time you give it. To say all this happened by happenstance, chance and luck all from nothing is the very pinnacle of "BLIND" faith for me. It actually takes MORE faith to believe in Evolution than for God to exist simply because of the fact that Evolution has no creative being for something to happen. This is why I believe Jesus is REAL and he said who he says he is. For me I feel like there HAS to be another reason why so many people are opposed to God existing, and I think there is. Let us be honest here, most of us are not on a TRUTH quest, but were on a HAPPINESS quest, so were just going to believe whatever we think is going to make us happy even if it's something as ridiculous as believing that you can get "something from nothing." I think Napoleon nailed it right on the head when he said this: "Man will believe in anything, as long as it's not in the Bible." What I think Napoleon was getting at here is the reason why people don't want to believe that God exist is NOT because of some intellectual reason, but rather it's a HEART issue. THEY DON'T WANT IT TO BE TRUE! And the proof is actually in the pudding, for YEARS scientist use to thought that the universe was eternal. That it was ALWAYS there. That it never had a beginning. They had NO PROBLEMS whatsoever with that idea. HOWEVER NOW with the recent discovery of how the universe DID in fact had a beginning, NOW they are OPPPOSED of an "idea" that an Eternal God might exist. Take note of that, they had NO PROBLEMS believing that the universe was ETERNAL and that it was ALWAYS there, but now they HATE the idea of an Eternal God existing that has no beginning and no end. I find that fascinating and how that correlates with what Napoleon said and what the bible tells us that we are actually hostile towards God. So here is a summary of why I don't believe in Evolution and why the Christian worldview makes so much more sense to me. A. Genesis 1: "God created the heavens and the earth." B. Evolution: "Nothing created the heavens and the earth." Guess which one TOTALLY coincides with my day to day activities and what coincides with everyone else's day to day experiences. Listen, I know someone is going to come up with some sort of scientific reason as to how you can get something from nothing and if you are, don't bother. The reason why I say that is because you can find an argument for anything. I've heard countless debates and if you wanted to argue that the sky isn't blue but rather red than you can probably do that. That's why we have people who believe the earth is flat despite of what they see in outer space. Anyone can make an argument out of anything, BUT there is one thing that you will never be able to do, and that is make an argument that contradicts: pure "sound, logic and reason", and Atheism is DEFINITELY not any of those. Something coming from nothing? That is not only outside of logic and reason, but it defies ALL logic and reason. I believe that God exist NOT because of what some book tells me or what my parents taught me but rather I believe God exist because of what I see around me. I really hope that this post will bring at least one person to Christ while there is still time. God bless you all.

I stopped watching when you said "we have no idea" if humans were around at the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event. Sorry but that is so profoundly ignorant of the overwhelming scientific evidence, that you are demonstrably not interested in discovering truth, just desperate to cling to the god that you have created out of the ruins of your past Christianity.

Seriously, monkeys didn't evolve into humans we are monkeys. It is simply that all modern monkeys and apes share a common monkey like ancestor. The various "races" simply evolved in response to the differing environmental pressures they faced as humanity spread across the globe. There is no mistake on my part it's your understanding of evolution that is simple wrong. As an aside I have no idea why you would use the archaic term "race" instead of the modern term "ethnic groups".

I'm an atheist and the "impossibility of the conflicting creation stories". Is a response to the Christian who would claim the Bible to be univocal and that Genesis is an account of the creation of our observable universe and everything in it. This is a legitimate criticism of my interlocutors theology and you are just wrong to call it a "mistake".

The Bible is a highly controversial book. In some chapters, Jesus said he is not good and only God is good. In numbers 23:19, the Bible says God is not not a man and therefore Jesus who was a man is therefore not God. Jesus said that I and my father are one. This English simply means Jesus and God are one in purpose. Ooh!! what a highly controversial book. We need to evaluate it using historical data. Currently, Babylon and Sumaria where some of the Bible materials come from have plans to re-write the Bible.

Dear Jen, you explain the world with physics although you are not a physisict. I am! Physics is not what New Agers claim. Energy is not what you say and I strongly suggest to avoid using the names of physics terms in vain! Jesus Christ said: they look but they don't see, they hear but they don't understand. Have you seen a demon? I have, trying the New Age nonsense. Jesus earned the right to teach the Ethnics after he died and conquered Ades. Before his sacrifice, he told his Apostles to stay away from the Ethnics=Nationalists. But after his resurrection he told them to go and teach the Nations=Εθνη. You haven't read your Bible well enough. You see, the Greeks, the Egyptians and the Hindus were genetically under the influence of the Fallen Angels, the Elohim, that is why they have all these animal-headed gods and monsters. Jesus Christ had to be born as a human being and be sacrificed to earn the right to be saved for all of us! The Greeks realized that the Apostles were saying the truth, that is why they were the first to repent and teach the Good News=Ευαγγέλιο= Evangelion. Please check to see that when Paul went to Athens, the Athenians called him "Σπερματολογο" = Talking about Sperm. Jesus Christ died to save us, but we also need to want to be saved. Jesus Christ, thank you and forgive us for our many sins!

Your criticisms are valid against their apparent targets -- deluded, false Christians, some of whom have been disillusioned because of false teaching. But worshiping God to get a ticket to heaven is like helping a little old lady across the street because you hope her kids are generous millionaires. God should be worshiped because He is our Creator, Lord and guide. Simply because He is God. Aside from whether heaven or hell exist. (Which, of course, Scripture indicates they do.) Here and now on this planet breathe the air, feel the sunshine and experience joy (albeit along with suffering) and senses of achievement (albeit along with defeats) because we are MORE than single-celled organisms that appeared by accident (btw, please define accident) and evolved into monkeys that evolved into both loving helpers and warring killers. But you obviously understand (or at least have studied, extensively) the theology that says there is much more to it than that. I'm impressed by your account of your studies, but am dismayed -- though not surprised -- by your descriptions of the "Christians" you mention who are way off track. I've met "believers" like that. Sadly, too many people, including professed Christians, say "screw it" and attempt to depend entirely on themselves when faced with what they believe is an intolerable level of adversity and frustration (a level which I admit must be far more substantial than any I've personally experienced so far) but I think that's no excuse for giving up. As for who wrote the Bible: its words of admoniition and encouragement make perfect sense to me whether they were written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Paul, or John, Paul, George, Ringo andr Bozo the Clown ( the last several of whom get far more respect from most of the society you now seem to embrace.) And why trust human "historians" who refute the Bible's authenticity when millions --even in this technological (including AI, which is scary) age still don't. How do you know these scholars aren't just propaganda peddlers? I've never seen any of those guys any more than I've seen Moses. By the way, apologies for the sarcasm just now. Thanks for sharing your viewpoint here and on Facebook, though I still disagree with it.
