Lexus Offering Up To $10,000 In Lease Cash On RZ Electric SUV: insideevs.com/news/675919/lexus-10000-lease-cash-for-rz/
Man 200 miles of range is a big no go for me. The range anxiety would just kill the fun of road tripping every time.
You'd still have range anxiety with 250 or 275 or 300 tbf if you're road tripping. EVs are good at many things, road tripping is not one of them. For the grandmas and soccer mom's buying these, for in town errands, it's good enough. But it's too pricey IMO.
Its like the kia ev6 gt or whatever super fast but barely 220 miles of range if i drive too Atlanta ga and back im already under half charge i mean for the most part thats probably as far as i will drive around town anyway but i would be taking it too the beach which is 300miles from me without a charge or two.. not enough chargers for the kia vehicles either so thats a zonk.. but amazing looking car i hope they make it 330-400 miles on a single charge and it will sell like crazy
@@myemailiscool I have no problem replacing our boring SUV with an EV. BUT I'll only do that when car makers roll out those promised 700 mile range battery packs in a couple of years.
But if you would travel on a horse?
@@myemailiscoolhaving driven an EV with 300 miles of range, I think the navigation system really helps with a lot of the range anxiety on a road trip. You essentially drive 200 miles at a time and then charge up. However, it does take away some of the excitement of planning everything yourself as you’re at the mercy of the navigation system taking you from charger to charger
Starting at $58k, only 200 miles. Absolutely insane. Why would anyone buy this?
Some people don’t drive a whole lot every day. If I had an EV, range wouldn’t be an issue. I only drive 14 miles a day to and from work. EVs aren’t really meant for super long trips, at least not yet. Technology is advancing every day, we’ll get there soon.
People who are insane and loyal to Lexus/Toyota
@@Ben-jz3mtstill when you do go on a road trip this is when this ev will suck
If there were a lot more ev charging stations and it took 2-5 minutes to fill up an ev as it would a gas car, 200 miles wouldn’t be a problem. Just like some other luxury cars or sports cars, their poor mpg isn’t a problem because they can refill very quickly and there are gas stations everywhere. We don’t really need long range, we just need better and faster charging and more charging stations
@@Ben-jz3mt I think the point was that the price is kinda high for what you get, compared to other EVs. If your commute is only 14 miles a day, and you're not taking long trips, then this is very overpriced for your needs. There are EVs half the price of this one.
I testdrove one the other day, it is so smooth! I might actually trade in my hybrid. The one I was interested in is $61K but with the current lease specials they are offering $10K off, dealer's $5K discount so they are trying to move them. I was also told buyers get 30 days FREE of loaner vehicles when you are planning a roadtrip which is very nice. I do believe the range is low but charging to 80% to get 170 miles of range has been about a little more than half a tank for me with my hybrid so I am used to it. I have also heard charging to 50% is the fastest at about 15min to get a little over 100 miles is not bad at all...I spend at least 15-20min while in a Walmart during a roadtrip. Lexus quality and reliability cannot beat that. It has my interest for sure.
This is personal preference, but i like the center screen placed in the middle of the dash like this versus a screen that's sticking out for some reason. It seems more ...integrated to the dash i guess?
Yeah i like it as well, the trend of just slamming a tablet screen on the car dashboard is just weird for me
I agree with you. It looks better blending the screen with the dashboard rather than having it stick out.
I’m getting this car soon
Curious as to see if these sell better than the bz4x and solterra, because I can firmly say the solterra's move very slow.
If it had the same range as a Tesla model y I’d buy it right away
Refined SUV.
How big the digital screen?
I'll wait until the production to make/draw my 1st observations.
What are the paddle shifters for? @TheTopher
Nice 196 miles
Ugh. So many people complaining about the range. Sure, it’s not a whole lot for almost $60k, but come on. Better than paying an arm and a leg at the gas station twice a month. No one ever looks at the positives anymore, always gotta find something to whine about.
She’s cool
Lower trims without HUD have normal steering wheel controls
11:50 classic Kia Soul behavior
❤❤
Cadillac Lyriq next?
@TheTopher. Any chance of reviewing Skoda vehicles?
I think there are not skoda în US
@@mvdlele29 indeed. Maybe he can do so during one of his travels.
The Toyota version also has wheels randomly come off
RZ is the same size as RX??
Looks more like an NX or between NX and RX.
Lexus needs to get to the 300 mile range for these, great looking car, I would totally get one if it had better range, and keep that same price tag.
Lexus Interior/Comfort + Long battery life due to slow charging - no brainer! Tesla does not have the reliability. Perfect car for overnight charging and daily use!
You can't even buy this in every province in Canada. The range is also just tragic. Eventually ended up getting a Q4 e-tron.
if this had more range it’d be perfect
Toyota/Lexus has so much catching up to do in comparison to other EV automakers. Kia is doing a fantastic job on regenerative braking, Porsche gets nice mileage from the taycan and doesn't beep ridiculously like a Tonka truck (sounds better overall too). Lexus really needs to fix that regen, be more efficient (achieve at least 240 miles for most people to consider it), and get rid of that horrible beeping reverse sound. No one wants to hear that, id rather my car sound like a spaceship about to takeoff than that.
This car is so close to being the perfect EV. Imo it only needs a bigger battery (300 ish mile range minimum) and maybe a slightly higher peak charging rate (200kW+), other than that its a very good car in its segment.
I am really hoping the drive modes being deep in the menus isn't going to be a fixture of all future Toyota and Lexus models...
In thailand, real range test for lexus RZ not over 300 km.. too short for everyday driving.
Would there be a petrol version of this car.. I'm believing so since they didn't go with the flush handle design.. Plus it has a lot of front engine consideration..
It's a beautiful car and many countries aren't ready to move to full electric, even in 10 years times... I love how compact this is compared to the RX... I love this!
Model 3
NX hybrid
People just carrying on about this vehicle and will never buy it nor could they afford it. Yeah 200-mile range is not that great, but honestly how many people is driving 200 miles a day? If you own a home just plug it up a night while you're sleeping, and you'll be okay. Nowadays just about everyone is working from home anyways so what's the problem?
They need to get the range up to at least 250 miles, and try to qualify for the tax credit by moving production to the U.S. They should also ditch the CCS plug and go with NACS.
This is a premium, luxury crossover for sure. However, what makes a huge downside to this vehicle is the range- 200 miles. This vehicle is acting as if it isn't in this world, every car manufacturer is working towards at least 305 miles. This is nowhere near that, and even with the range being low, the price isn't low either making this a big waste of money. Additionally, this may be a great investment as a way of saying "the first-ever electric Lexus." But, this vehicle, is surely unusable.
Some things I like about this vehicle:
-The design; very unique especially in the rear
-The interior color; very luxurious
-Overall cabin feel
-Steering wheel options; yoke steering
-The amount of space in the vehicle; very spacious and practical
Some things that I do not like about this vehicle:
-No frunk
-Low amount of range with an expensive price tag
-Interior design; screen placed very awkwardly
-Little amount of physical buttons
-Adding the "bigger and better" wheels will bring the range to 196 miles, which is crazy (Similar to the Mazda MX-30 EV).
10:00. You GUESS we could ask for more range?????!!!!! That’s all, a GUESS?????????
I think it is a very, very comfortable bev.... road noise is cancelled very well, it is extremly silent. I know, I drove one of these RZ's lately, compared to our Mustang EV....wow, so much better. The RZ has a small battery pack and lots of safety measures to spare the batteries apparently.
I like the comfort, best in class, superior to Tesla, yes Tesla! Best build, and really, ultra silent.
Our next Bev will be a Lexus, definitly, probably the new RZ300e, slightly more range.
First… Where’s the Yoke???
Yoke’s on you!
Who came here from the little tikes cozy coupe (t-Rex edition) video?
No wonder they cant sell any of these.

If tesla had the build quality of lexus i would buy
definitely a lease kinda car
For 60K I expect it to look like it as well not a top tier Toyota. The interior is such a letdown
To be honest in this category Electric SUV Car, I would with Volvo 60 Electric version. Way better built quality. Maybe I'm wrong, but honestly don''t like that much Lexus, idk , feels like a Toyota and quality is not that good. Just my 2 cents guys
Would not get it. It's a half ass attempt from Lexus at best. Would wait till they come up with a fully redesigned one
Lexus for da win 👌
I want it give it to me
I’m to poor
@@droiddevx03 I already have a tesla model 3
Definitely wasn't made to really sell a lot of ... probably was just made to "catch up" with every other manufacturers and can please their shareholders by saying they have an EV SUV in the market.
lol.
LEXUS!!!! PLEASE DO AT LEAST 320mile range on any BEV. no one wants poor RANGE.
i could fall in love with this electric suv
a whole lot! im gonna buy one when im 16 and i pass my driving test!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ur rich
I love Lexus but that range is a nope
Are those...bunny ears?
🐰 😂
The charge cover is awful
I have an RX 450H, and really wanted to buy this vehicle, but 200 miles of range? And real-world range (if you have 2 passengers and are using the AC) is 140-150 miles? Hard to believe Lexus would release such an inferior vehicle!
I came to the realization that if you want an EV you gotta buy tesla
Utility 2/10
Meh pitiful first effort from Toyota
Nissan better
What an ugly way to spend $60k.
👎
Ugly 😢
That thing is ugly as sin. Lexus seems to be trying really hard to make the ugliest cars on the road
Such a terrible value for that range. I love lexus but they should have waited until they could get some proper range before releasing an electric suv. Huge miss.
That wouldn’t be a problem if there were charging stations everywhere and the time to recharge them was like the time to fill up a gas car
@@RyansTechReviews29 I agree, but it’s just not the universe we live in
