Nice and detailed review, thank you, Dave. I've got a GT one in France for 3 months now, and I'm averaging 30 mpg in town and 45 mpg on country roads. My record is 5.8 l/100 km (48 mpg) on 250 km road trip.
Very good and fair review. I luckily managed to find a nearly new GTS in the orange and would agree with most things you say about it. Its not perfect but what car is? On my commute with a fair bit of stop start traffic I'm getting exactly 50MPG. On a round trip on A roads from Telford to Saundersfoot driving at the national speed limit, I got 56MPG. Its more economical than my previous fairly modern 2.0 turbo diesel and just as powerful, particularly if you go into sport mode. Tyre roar on certain roads is noticeable but not intrusive. Probably the best car I have ever had.
Nice review, great to hear about the MPG figures. I have just ordered the base spec GT Line as it seemed to have all the essentials (bar maybe the digital dials) and it was the only available. I’ll be driving Glasgow to Preston (circa 375 mile round trip) once a week in it, so hoping I can come somewhere close to mid 40s also!
Nice review David, thank god they fixed the interior on this car. I remember a lot of my friends back in the day didn’t consider this car because of the interior but now they haven’t got any excuse
Just ordered a GT-Line as my next company car. I'd originally plumped for a Skoda Scala, but with a 12+ lead time, it just didn't work. I've gone for the Fusion Orange; with such a gorgeous shape I figure this colour will really make it stand out!
We've just ordered one of these, and yep, gone for fusion orange! Looks great in the flesh. Unfortunately it's a 16 week wait. 🙄 Also, the only one currently showing as being able to configure on the Kia website is the 1.5 GT-Line manual, which is what we've ordered. All DCT versions have gone. I'm led to believe this is down to severe supply issues.
Good review. I have one of these as manual. Facelift model 1.5 TGDI. The manual is a good choice, if you dont want to drive lots of high speeds an the highway. The manual has a 7th gear which the manual doesnt have, so at higher speeds on the Autobahn you get lower rpms in the 7th gear, so less consumption. BUT, at normal driving around town and country roads the consumption of the manual is lower cause you can coast the engine whereever possible (at downhills, before crossways or traffic lights, just use the neutral gear as much as you can) Its a very good car, well composed and quality wise no issues cause its not a very new development. 7 years warranty, low consumption and fun to drive cause its a relatively light car. You can fine tune it with an aftermarket exhaust for little more sound and suspension spring to bring the chassis lower if you want. I drive it since 2000kms and consumption are mixed 6.5l/100km. It was the same as with my Honda Civic X, 1.5 Hatchback manual. Here is agood review also th-cam.com/video/86orPuMeBDA/w-d-xo.html.
Couldn't agree more roy, I got a late 23 GT Line S 2 weeks ago, and I absolutely love it, even better than I thought it was going to be. Can't pick any faults.

I've ordered a Fusion Orange one, thorough review
ive actually ordered the 1.5 turbo hatchback version 3 not the gt line but looking forward to it arriving hopefully soon. like your reviews
Great balanced review Dave, that’ll be normal service then. 👍🏻
Thank you Darren.
Hopefully normal service is still great service ☺️
@@AutoBears Absolutely. I assume you live in MK, or close by, I recognise the roads usually.
i think my colour would be penta metal as looks awsesome in that colour
Really great review👏 !!!!
Just ordered my GT plusline deluxe white😁
Me too, also with sunroof and dct box
Great review, very helpful.
left a deposit on a 1.6 gt registered 3/22 in flame blue, just worried the exhaust might be a little load ?
Hi Dave,
Is the glove box cooled?
That's a GTS ,I've got a stock lease of a GT line coming in week or so, in infrared, looking forward to it.

I ordered the GT in December, still don't have any info on when it may be arrive
@@michaelrobins3484 We've had an update saying June. God knows how accurate that is though. 🤷🏼♂️
Good review and nice car. Shame it's no longer available to order.
If you can pick up a second hand GTLINE S just go for it,for what you get it's better than the plain GTLINE.
Excellent car,love it..👌

I'm a bit concerned about the rear visibility for rear parking. For those who own it how bad is it?
It’s like most estate cars.
But use those parking sensors and camera to your delight.
if there is no sunroof then the headspace would be a lot more
How about explaining how the rails in the boot work
Afraid it’s a little late for that now. But will do on future models
2024 Proceed, 55mpg, at 60mph, motorway, +B road, blasting, Fantastic to drive, "Now Stopped making them???
Good car and good review 👍
Will this car refer to Taiwan?
I was hoping you would show the sunroof operation, almost completely ignored
Hey there goody.
Sorry I didn’t highlight the sunroof. It works just like any other though in its functionality.
Is there anything I need to be aware of? 😉
The gt line s is the top spec model. Not the GT. Just an fyi
Hi GBR.
Thank you for your comment. If I wanted the top of the range Proceed with the performance it will be the GT. ☺️
Unfortunately the GT doesn't seem to be available in the UK.
Cheap looking interior design. Detest the Red backlighting.
This car is not economical at all in diesel or petrol
??? How can 50mpg not be economical?? Weird..
