I have one of these as manual. Facelift model 1.5 TGDI. He is absolutely right in every aspect. Its a very good car, well composed and quality wise no issues cause its not a new development. 7 years warranty, low consumption and fun to drive. You can fine tune it with an aftermarket exhaust for little more sound and suspension spring to bring the chassis lower.
I have a 2019 model. The centre arm rest for the driver can move back, allowing better access to the rear most cup holder. I noticed on your model that your armrest is forward. If it does move back like mine, you just bump it back and also if required pull it forward.
I really like this car. I think it looks really good. I live in Central London and I still haven't seen one in the flesh, but watching the video and watching Dan's face while he's driving says it all really. I'm going to put in an order after Christmas. The other hot model in this video is Dan himself. Thanks for your reviews Dan, you're class!
Great review. Looking at one of these as my new company car, so interesting you mentioned some of the less well known features like the customisable buttons and the verbal notes function. Good job.👍
I prefer the GT with the 200 hp engine. But no matter what version you buy, you get good value for money. The CLA Shooting Brake looks better for sure but costs insane money with a decent engine (=not the 1,33l) and some extras. Also Mercedes will kick you out right away if you ask for 7 years of warranty for no additional cost :D
@@arto679 seriously? Crazy. I'm just leasing it for 4 years so don't know if that's made a difference. I know there was a delivery of some this month into the UK.
Excellent review Dan. Very thorough and highlighting the everyday practical features (not mentioned on other reviews) of the 2022 Proceed. Have one ordered on a two year lease for June delivery.
I have the new GT and it is an excellent car its quite quick for 200hp the 7 speed box helps that it's a very hard car to find fault with, there is a fue bits if ur nitpicking the hifi is the one thing that let's the car down, and kia should of put the jbl one in
Love this however, having two children with car seats/bases and the leg that goes to the floor, really impacts fromt seat space. Taller front seat passengers, as a result, have minimal leg room. One huge improvement to this car would be to increase the wheel base by about 8 inches.
Verry comprehensive video! Really nice car...propably the best looking with the new peugeot 308 SW, but what is the quality of the basic audio system....some say it's weak, but others say it's decent?
I have one of these and i have to say that in order to get any decent volume out of the car i have to put the sound up to 50 out of 100......it is far too quiet!
I have just taken delivery of a base 1 litre turbo (petrol). Previously I had a KIA RIO ecodynamics from 2014 to 2022. I naively thought that the basic equipment, (e.g electrically folding mirrors, pairing for satnav purposes, indicator on the wing mirror etc), found in my older KIA RIO will beavailable in the CEED but they are not. Having been commited I went ahead, The base model I have is very noisy , acceleration is very slow. The instructions for the use of the cruise control and speed delimiter buttons are very confusing and I shall not be using those. I got 44.5 mpg on my RIO, I am looking forward to getting a lower fuel consumption which is one of the reasons for "upgrading".
@@ItsDanLatham A shame indeed, I was about to order the GT-Line S. Now I'm trying to decide between the Proceed GT-Line and the XCeed '4'. I still didn't like the fact that the GT-Line S had all the bells and whistles, except it didn't come with the most powerful engine, and I also preferred the GT's red inserts and round diffusers. So a combination of the two would have made my perfect next car. I still prefer the looks of the Proceed but I think the XCeed '4' has more equipment. Need to do some more research... Great review, btw. Cheers!
@@zoltanm6445 If you’re financing, might be worth seeing if the dealers have any outgoing GT stock. They will probably do a discount on showroom models or demo cars. Thanks for watching!
fantastic Review i have kia proceed 1.5t gt line fusion white manual on order for june love the look of the car and will be a massive upgrade from my current car what the 6 speaker audio system like
In fairness the audio was decent but not as good as the one in the VW group card as standard. What I did really like though is that the sat nav audio comes from just the driver speaker which makes it sound much more clear and direct
We've just ordered one of these (gone nuts with the Orange. 😁) Needing a new family car and absolutely hating SUV's, we took one look at this and put a deposit down there and then. Unfortunately it's a 16 week wait for our 1.5 GT-Line manual. 🙄
Such is the way with most new cars at the moment! Nice choice with the orange, will look great on a sunny day. I was really impressed with the overall quality and equipment level, feels like its been designed with family in mind. Enjoy it!
I’m used to those features in my own car so didn’t think much about it. The auto hold is always nice to have in an auto car, means you can leave in in drive most of the time and not even think about it. And electric handbrake becomes second nature
Had my GTLine S for 10months now and have not got one complaint. All this talk about acceleration etc..I find it perfectly adequate, picks up extremely well from 59-70mph (and even surprised me one time at 97mph,which I quickly reduced!!). I have got up to 62 mpg on a motorway run when not in a hurry, pottering at 60mph. Never regretted not getting the GT as this model is by far the better specced, and after all you really shouldn't be doing more than 70mph!!) . (Although at present Kia have stopped the GTLineS due to chip shortages.) Only complaint is that the dual clutch can be a tad jerky at low speed and sometimes gets a bit confused as to what gear it should be in-- but I think it's the same with most Dual Clutch systems??
Ordered a GT LIne S in January 2022, finally arrived and the car is the wrong spec! Kia sent a batch of 40 GT-Line S orders with GT LINE spec. Only difference is they came with 18 inch wheels and auto DCT transmission. Everything else is basic GT-LINE spec. No Pan roof, LED lights, Leather seats, uprated stereo, power boot, nothing. Shocking from KIA. Shocking. They say it was a manufacturing error, yeah right.
@@ItsDanLatham I'm still in negotiations but the company line for affected customers has been that they apologise but all they will offer is the original terms of the deal when ordered (which is still a grey area for lease customers) as the unit price of the car has gone up significantly. Or £500 off if you wish to order another new Kia instead. Really, really poor from Kia.
@@ItsDanLatham I think Kia's top of the range is the GT-Line. The Proceed is only available in top spec. with three specs within that. So the GT-Line is the bottom of the top.
I own this car and get 50 mpg on a country road commute, brilliant car far better than the Audi A3 sportback I had before it.

They've just pulled the GT and GT-Line S from the UK market, the only available trim now is the entry-level GT-Line.
