He was actually still dominating until he got injured. I remember him averaging somewhere around 28 or 29 ppg until he got injured. During that era, due to physicality of the game, reaching at an age of 35+ is already a miracle. That's the reason why the likes of Kobe, Steve Nash and even Dirk can play games regardless of the adversities they faced like Kobe still playing with a broken finger, steve playing with a broken nose, dirk playing with a flu. Nowadays, they're not going to play with even the slightest injury to them and they will be ruled out of the game for at least 2 weeks. 😂

He is slower, jumps lower, the hangtime is reduced. But there is still the elegance, the intelligence and the willpower. With these assets, he has to find new ways to overcome his opponents. Which, of course, he does. In some way, this is like his biggest victory to me, but maybe I am too romantic about this. :)
