Friends, hi! ❤😀 Today I have a quick Turkish borek for breakfast. Quick, because I use yufka dough for its preparation. Borek can be cooked with different fillings: boiled potatoes, minced meat, spinach, cheese, green lentils, etc. And also, I will cook sausages in tomato sauce. Hope you enjoy the video! 😍

Hi Vera😀. The breakfast looks really tasty. I tried making borek a few years ago using filo pastry which was tricky and the result was not great (that's being kind🙂) Next time I'm in Dublin city centre I'll go into the Turkish shop and see if i can buy yufka and I will try again. Thanks for the inspiration. Normally if we want borek I buy them from that shop where they're baked fresh in a twin cylinder shape. Your spirals look better.. As i write Avocado's(?) posture at 5:36 is mirrored by Zirr's on my right😁. The two kittens look a;most identical to Tabi. Best wishes, many thanks and stay cool from the dublin branch of the Five cat club😃❤😻😻😻😻😻🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Hi Rodney 😀. Thanks a lot! Yes, you are right, filo pastry is not suitable for borek. It will be great if you manage to find a yufka. Borek can also be made from stretched dough, but it is more difficult and time consuming. At 5:36 this is our new kitten, he looks a bit like Avocado. Unfortunately, Avocado didn't like the new kittens, constantly hissing at them. I hope he gets used to them over time. Have a great weekend and good vibes! 😀Best wishes to Five cat club 😜😻😻😻😻😻🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
@@AvocadoCuisine Hi Vera, 😁greetings from wet ☔and cloudy Dublin. I managed to get yufka but the only sheets avaiable were much smaller than yours, about 25cm so I didn't try to copy your shapes. They were also very thin and tended to split when I rolled them. After a few I started to use two or three sheets laid over each other. Have you any advice? Iwouldn't worry about Avocado and the kittens. My experience with cats is that when a new cat arrives there's always a period of hissing growling and occassional smacking as the pecking order is established . This can last a few weeks and then things settle down. Best wishes from the Dublin branch of the 😻😻😻😻😻. 🙃 Have a great week😃
@@rodneybaldwin2278 Rodney, hi! 😀Based on your description, it looks like a baklava yufka. Yufka leaves are very thin and transparent, right? If so, this yufka can also be used for berek as follows: - 2 sheets of yufka greased with sauce, - cover with 2 sheets of yufka and grease with sauce, - cover 2 more sheets of yufka, grease with sauce. In total, you should get 6 sheets of yufka and 3 layers of sauce. After, lay out the filling and roll into a roll into a roll. Thanks for the cat tips😃 Have a great week. Greetings to your cats 😻😻😻😻😻😃
