Good day. What kind of carbon cloth density did you use? And what kind of glue is to stick it to the part?
Damn bro this looks so so muvh better than vinyl or fake carbon fiber
Would this be possible on a bonnet?
Diy"
What the adhesive material
What's the paper grits?
What's the epoxy overlay timing
How it's diy ?!?!
Hi, we use epoxy resin,
Paper grits:
1 step 80-100
2 step 240
3 step 600 wet
Epoxy overlaying 30-45 min 3-4 layers.
Hi, new subscriber 👍🏻 doing a few projects on my own car. You do an Incredible job! What do you do to the carbon material before hand. You are pulling it about and it's not distorting at all. This is the part I'm struggling with the most. Any help would be really appreciated 😊
No vacuum bagging? no oven? How does this work? Is the bond strong enough?
Hello, right our process don’t need a vacuum bag. We use a oven, it is important. We put in in the oven for around 12 hours between 30-80 degree.
Ustam merhaba amatör olarak bende uğraşıyorum birinci katı epoksiyi attıktan sonra epokside beyaz lekeler oluyor acaba epoksi ile alakalı
Did you spray adhesive on the carbon for it to stick like that ? Loving the videos , very helpful 👍
Hello, yes we spray it on the Carbon and the parts too 👍🏻
@@CARBONART. What did you spray 3M 777?
I wish to know
👌🏻look always zo easy just like the steeringwheels. Or not the good fabrics of Carbon (200gr/m) or to heavy sandingpaper… thx for your video’s🙏
😄yes i know. After thousands of parts it will be easy automatically. At the beginning it’s normal that it is not easy. Make test with 240gr/m, this is little bit better
@@CARBONART. thx for your advies. I really appreciated
can we use more coats of resin and skip clear coat to get enough shine?
Hi, we take 3-4 layers of resin, after sanding comes the clearcoat
What carbon weave are you using?
Hi, 240 gr m2, the standard one
Amazing job! May I ask what number of grits did you use?
Hi,
Step 1: 80/100
Step 2: 240
Step 3 : 600 wet
After it we spray clearcoat
Thanks mate!
NAME OF THE spray adhesive !
Is the part at 0:29 made out of plastic? I'm new to the carbon thing and i'd like to ask. Are carbon fiber mirrors only made out of carbon wrapped around plastic ( or whatever the material of the part at 0:29 is) orthey can be made as well completely from carbon fiber layers put together?
most carbon fiber mirrors are just a carbon overlay on a plastic mirror, but there are some that are completely carbon fiber and just have the plastic clips bonded on the inside
What type of clear coat do you use and also what kind of adhesive you use to adhere the carbon fiber cloth to the product?
Nice video mate.. can u tell us whats the glue that u use?
Hi, thank you. We use a 2 component high temperature resistant glue
Hi, can you please write clearly the name (designation) of used carbon material, which contains the epoxy resin? As I understand, it is not a normal carbon fiber, because it is with resin. Can you please write the name of used carbon fiber and maybe where I can buy it? It would be very kind from you.
Carbon fiber with epoxy already infused is called prepreg (pre impregnated) carbon fiber, and I’m assuming that’s what he used
Thanks a lot at least you gave me an answer. I appreciate it.
